Well I have been without ME2 for 2.5 weeks now and will be without it for about 2 more thanks to a power surge that fried my old motherboard. Here's my question/problem. ME2 was installed with Windows Vista on my old comp and the new one will be Windows 7. I will be moving my old harddrive (with ME2 on it) to be the secondary hd on hte new comp. Does anybody have a step by step way for me to transfer the saves files and such from the old hd to the new one with the new operating system since I was told that I would have to install ME2 on the new hd/os in order for the game to run. Thanks for your time.

Should just be able to copy the Bioware folder out of the My Documents folder on the old drive to the new drive and have it find everything.
Worked for me when I just rebuilt my PC from scratch.

Yes, copying the whole folder will work.
If you want just the saves and not the configuration files, the folders you're looking for are My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 2\\Save for all your saves, and \\Mass Effect 2\\BIOGame\\Profile\\Player1.prf for your achievements.

cool, thanks very much. figured it should be pretty easy, but usually when I think it is easy it's something outrageously difficult.
