Yeah, but how would you do that when a couple hundred people are also watching the movie at the same time as you? Where is your GUI located, and holy crap, how much would that cost to view a movie like that?
As i remember they didn't let James Cameron film Avatar back in the days because 3D technology and special effects he needed were way to over budged back than, but hey, look where we are now
The one who gets there first, gets all the weed, just sayn.

Given a large enough budget, I'm sure they can have a few plot branches in the Blu-Ray version, but the theatrical release will have to be linear.
Just check the Bhatair's link, its just one of the example of how such movie can be done, options are limitless.

That's crazy. That'll ruin the franchise.

Really innovative idea, but I see some really big problems right now:Bhatair wrote...
Well, they do have this.
1. Very open to abuse by smart-aleck viewers.
2. Not knowing what the "commands" are beforehand, so the person being called doesn't really know how he's affecting the film.
3. People are talking on their cell phones during the movie, which also leads to
4. I am at the mercy of some stranger. Toget the movie experience I want, I may have to watch the film multiple times, which I don't want to do.
5. If I really enjoy the movie, how can I duplicate that experience from a DVD or Blu-Ray?

neat idea, to expensive and innovative. just play the game lol. it would sell alot of dvds/blurays, but would have to work with the remote control for commands.
