Wouldn't it be logical to put your two-handed speced warriors in light armor? although they are front line fighters, if you have a tank in your party, the only reason you have a two-hander spec warrior would be to do damage and crowd control. Seems redundent to put on massive armor when you arn't realy meant to be taking damage, AND it draws increased hate. Just seems like a huge stamina burden for little return.

Thoughts?

It seems like that's what every Chasind looks like... light armor and a big two-hander. I've always went massive armor because you've got all that strength anyway and it seems they have the best bonuses for two-handers.

You could do that with an Arcane Warrior. With the right sustains & robes you'd actually end up with more armor than any warrior. And you can out do dps of a two handed warrior with swift & death hex with high attributes in magic. Infact that is very likely going to be my next build. Two handed Arcane warrior, but I'm likely to going to be wearing heavy & or massive armor with decent mana & mana regen bonus.

Wade's heavy armour set with -fatigue is terrific for a 2h Warrior. You actually get negative fatigue with the Powerful talent. Do use.

Forget light armour. Unless you're a sissy, afraid to take a lil' bit of aggro? :)

Medium Armor before Death Blow, Massive Armor post Deathblow. And ALWAYS stick your two hand warrior in armor that reduces fatgiue. (Wades Superior, Warden Commander, Cailens, Effort, Dilgence).

A two hand warrior is going to attract a lot of aggro. You need the high armor to surive

This.  It's true you're not meant to be soaking up lots of damage as a tank would, but you'll still get hit a lot, especially if you're pumping STR over everything.  Light armor just isn't protective enough.  I'd at least go with heavy armor.

I'm on my first warrior play-through, so I'm still in a rogue mindset of *sacrifice everything for damage*.

But after playing the two-handed warrior, its quite different from what I expected. Its more of a control/utility class, the damage is an extra boon. Have a hard time fighting dogs though, that overwhelm crap ignores Indomitable.

My current setup. I'm currently playtesting Evon versus Legion of the Dead since the Stamina bonuses are vital to the 2Hander. While lighter armor frees up the need to stack regen or stam gear, the sheer agro output produced by their AoEs makes them glass cannons. Heavy/Massive with reduced fatigue is the way to go.

The armor for your DPS two-hander should be a blend of armor protection and low fatigue so you can use abilities. That means Felon's, Superior Dragon scale or Warden Commander. The objective is best armor for lowest fatigue so Superior Dragonscale with or without Evon's is the best bet.

I like Warden Commander armor with Executioners Helm and Nugcrusher right now. +175 Stamina with that set.

It wouldn't have much sense in Dragon Age, but in RL or some other game, one would might not want to encumber and slow down themselves with metallic armour and instead save their strength to swing those heavy weapons faster or for more damage.

In real life two hand weapons do not weigh that much. You wanted metallic armor (like chain mail or full plate) to stop all the slashing type weapons. The last thing you wanted was for some peasant come up from behind and gut you because you were wearing some cheap armor.
