Eh, that cutscene was the only time I thought Thane was cool... it did seem like they wasted what could've been a cool character from ME1 that has a history with Shepard on a few throwaway references, though.

Well, he can't constantly descend from ceilings and throat-punch mercenaries. He's a professional, only does it when his contract orders him to. It think he even mentions somewhere that he had to prepare for this Dantius mission for a year or two, which probably means he kept the killing during that time period to a minimum.

That may all be true, but at the end of the day he's still a fish dressed like a circus monkey who sits around practicing his Lance Hendriksen impression all day.

It also funny that thane even doesnt have any specific role in the suicide mission.

His role is to be in your squad.  He's got Warp, and therefore he's one of the three companions best suited for killing Collectors (Miranda, Samara, Thane).  And Throw works wonders too.  I understand what you mean though.

You're right (although you can complete the game without killing innocents)

Yes, that you can. However, even if Shepard chooses to kill solely in self-defense or for the greater good, he still kills people with friends, families, etc.

Of course it's all just a game, but if someone dislikes the aforementioned people for killing (all three of them have a high moral code, despite certain shortcomings in their ethics), they must at least take in consideration what Shepard does.

Oh, and what a nice taste he has, only picks the most flashy kinds of circus dresses! But him being a fish? Mh, that wouldn't mesh well with the fact that his species originates from a desert planet and needs to stay out of the rain in order to stay healthy.

Like assasins. They could also be named as mercs/bountyhunters that work alone.

Besides, looking at what Nassana did to her employees,

I call this bull**** writing, nothing more. Why should she kill her own workers?

Off topic: Shadowstrike is the best ability to strip barriers.

Its pretty heavily implied that Thane didn't accept money.

Thane tells you that he didn't expect to survive and told that woman working at the dock that he was doing this to restore the balance of his life.

Come on, the game actually SAYS this several times.

She's become paranoid and irrational, she wants to put the building on lockdown, the workers are still inside and not leaving quick enough for her liking meaning in her mind she's vulnerable to attack due to their presence. Hence, kill the workers and put the building on lockdown.

Nassana has enough pull on Illium and the workers are nobodies in the grand scheme of things and coupled with her established ruthlessness its hardly out of left field.

Yeah, Im disappointed, but then ME2 railroaded me into working for Cerberus right away, and not only with a quite pathetic amount of resistence from Shepard, but YOU CANT EVEN BRING UP AKUZE!!!!!!!!!!

The writing in many areas sucked in ME2, and by the time I got to Dantius, I had already given up on caring when crappy writing cropped up.

Thankfully it was only about 2 minutes. Most of the mission was spent scaling the tower doing lots of shooty-shooty. I was probably too bored to be pissed off that they turned what was a compelling if devious character into a cliche, greedy corperate murdering scumbag.

Off topic: It does a ton of damage, I agree, but it's slow, buggy, and unreliable for out of reach enemies.  But it comes with the handy features of saving Kasumi from fire and providing a temporarily invincible distraction, in addition to being effective against all defenses.  I can see the benefits of both skills.

On topic: Thane is one of my favorite companions, and one of the poster boys for ME2.  So no, I'm not disappointed at the lack of an alternative companion or fate for Nassana.

I can honestly say I've never picked him up. He is the Kaiden of Mass Effect 1.

Guys you completely forgot Thane is terminal ill and has only a few months to live anyway.

I too didn't like his mission much and reckon it would have been an ideal opportunity for Bioware to have had some alterations even minor ones.

Youtube, this forum, leakerz.com, jtv.com. I didn't even do Jacob's loyalty mission and I know what happens in it.

The thread is about the option of killing or not Nassana...what does this have to do with that?
