Expansion: Morrigan and her child
Sequel: Child as protagonist and their journey (Sort of like the Bhaalspawn, I suppose)
I don't want the sequel to feature the Warden. I want new characters tbh, but I also want the warden's story to be finished properly.

DA2 for me can be anthor blight in another land & since we clean this blight so fast we are a good person to send for to help out so make sence & I want my old chars to move forward to more of the world, updates on morri's pregreesion maybe catch a glimpes or 2 of her & lel in party ofc.
Im not shure were the storys going but would be nice to claer all old(fales ?) gods & restore the makers gaze as the long term goal involing morri & our yougling ofc.
ME series looks like it going for the ultimate ending so who knows.

The baby might not be evil is should be pure blight free thing, still isnt it the soul of a false god ? & the maker wont like.

it shouldnt be blight free as it has the taint from the greywarden, and the baby would be made up of this taint, just imagine 6 months of creation from human blood and darkspawn blood and they say darkspwan blood is more dominant than human blood so most likely 50% human 50% darkspawn. if they chose to base DA2 on the child i bet end choice would be between leading darkspawn or destroying them

Personally, I think the sequel will be set in Orlais, have nothing to do with Blights at all, feature Morrigan in some respect, and hopefully have a (largely) completely new cast of playable characters. Alternatively it could be set in Tevinter, feature a Qunari invasion, have nothing to do with Morrigan at all. Heck, maybe Orlais goes to war with Tevinter and the Qunari invade.
Also was there ever-really any confirmation that the Archdemon *was* an Old God and not just some big dragon, other than various characters believing it was due to being told it was by other people who in no way could know whether it was or not?
The problem with having OGB as the main character is that it would pretty-much restrict the main character to being human, my bets would be on a party member, probably female, probably love interest. If they deal with it at all, which they might not. Personally I hope they do, because its the kind of cliff-hanger ending that begs for a sequel. None of the other endings really do that in quite the same way.
Either way I want a completely new cast. Not that I'd complain about using TEH WARDEN again, but I think some vague import-decision mechanic which can reference some of your choices from Origins which will be utterly inconsequential to the main narrative, would be far better.
EDIT: Also, Hooray for run-on sentences.

They've already proven this by letting us import the US Warden and making Wynne and Oghren return in Awakening regardless of their fate in Origins.
I've no doubt they'd make DR canon if they feel it would provide a better story down the road.
They're already canonized ceirtain things in their previous games like BG2, where you start with good companions even if you never used them in the first game or killed them off.
They'll do whatever they want and our wishes won't matter in the end.

However if the warden is imported then I do hope they dont canonize the DR.

I agree with basically all of your viewpoints right here. I might take it a step further though and add the grey warden organization as a whole as being the antagonists in the sequel. There have been hints in origins and awakening that there is corruption within the grey warden ranks, which could lead to an interesting plotline regardless of whether or not the main character is The Grey Warden or someone different.

I hope DA:2 gives you a better understanding of the Old Gods and The Maker. Maybe an Exalted March on the Grey Wardens because the Grey Wardens did the DR if they canonize it, or the Chantry finds out about the Old God and perform an Exalted March on him/her making you have to choose which side you are on. I don't know I'll just trust in Bioware they tell great stories whatever happens I'll probably be more than satisfied wanting more.

That would answer too many questions, that I think they would rather leave unanswered, maybe most especially whether there is a Maker or not (and what happened to it).
That said, I can see future games allowing us to explore the Tevinter Imperium, and learning more about its history.

Well unless yo uregret your decision to make Morri pregnant, I'm sure everyone would defy the chantry.jsr24 wrote...
I just want closure on Origins if they do different location/time thing. I think there will be at least one more xpac before DA:2 maybe that is where we get some closure.

I for one hate them.
As a dwarf, the call you a heathen
As an elf, they attacked your people
and as a human they brainwash you to believe in that skypimp they call "the maker"

Characters I hope aren't in the sequel:
Wynne, Sten, and Oghren (but we have no choice he is stuck w/ us forever--I at least hope he's not like Awakening's Oghren).
I hope we get Shale back, but in dwarf form (would be cute lol).

Atleast, out of 13 play throughs, only 2 of my characters have done the dark ritual.. it's so anti climax, and it only feels right if you've been romancing Morrigan. The whole game sort of builds up to you dying, and then it's just like a 'Howdy! You don't have to die! Just have sex today! Or make a fellow male grey warden have sex with someone he can't stand! Avoid death today! 100% free!'.
So yeah.. I really hope it doesn't involve Morrigans child, at all. >.>

Further explanation on the result of the dark ritual, is always a plus. It would be great if they continue your warden's story in DA2. But if not, I would like to see a scene where your old warden dies or something at the very beginning.
Yeah like when wardens come to their early and expexcted death the go to the deep roads and kill as many darkspawn as they can before they are overwhelmed this would be a graet opening to the story for DA
