I hate Steely Dan. With a passion. I have to turn off the radio and wait a ridiculous period of time to make sure that Steely Dan has cleared the airwaves and something else has replaced it. Listening to them puts me in an Unhappy Place. At the moment, I am grumpy because I was enjoying listening to Radio Paradise, but had to stop it because it's playing Steely Dan.

As far as I know, this is the only band that I can't even suffer through - they must be silenced. I'd rather keep humming the banana song.

Country, gospel, that's probably about it for whole genres of music.

I agree about Steely Dan, many people really like them and ****an and I can't say as I've listened enough to give them a fair shake but I've always disliked their popular tunes.

I'm a geezer so I am not a fan of a lot of stuff from the year 2000 on. :o)-->

Considering my opinion that music is one of humanity's greatest creations, I don't really hate any. I dislike bands or solo artists, but no one has ever made me seethe with hatred for their work.

She comes close. :P I remembering criticizing her music at IF once. Maybe I was being too hyperbolic then. My definition of hate may differ from others here. I wouldn't listen to Hannah Montana given a choice, and I think her music is awful, but I don't hate it. Hate implies a whirlwind of emotions I'm just not feeling.

I include Hanna Montana/ mylie (siphilis, it'll happen in the next few years at her current rate of self destruction) Cyrus in the tweenie pop category.

I think it was when I posted that Hannah Montana + Tony Montana superimposed picture :o

Hmm, what if we rephrased it to "Music You Dislike?". Dislike doesn't imply and strong emotions, just music you would rather avoid.

I listen to a little bit of anything, and I like to judge music fairly. However their are a few artist I would prefer not to listen to.

One of them being Wiz Khalifa, particularly his song Say Yeah. He is having a concert here in Miami, and my friend asked me to listen to his song because she wanted me to go to the concert with her. I declined, and my initial reaction was "Wtf is this ****?".

I'm with Seagloom on this.  I love music in general, and even if there are certain artists I don't care for or genres I don't tend to listen to as much as others, I don't think I've ever heard anything that really upset me.  I don't think I'm a very hateful person, and while I may still hate certain things, music isn't one of them.  Even horrible music.

Also, Steely Dan is awesome.  :(
