Is NERD rap or hip-hop?

The only music I have ever genuinely hated was Gwen Stefani's hip-hop cover of If I Were a Rich Man from Fiddler on the Roof a few years back. "If I Were A Rich Girl" just made me feel like musical theater was being spiritually violated somehow.

I really like: Industrial metal, ambient industrial, DnB and specific orchestral music.

Currently "Chelsea Dagger" is annoying the hell out of me. Did they think those lyrics for the chorus up all by themselves. They must be poets.

Also Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus... Their songs are an indicator of how humanity in the next generation has fallen.

I feel like I’m going insane when I hear it. It makes me think of raves, hallucinogenic drugs and bad dancing. It doesn’t have any understandable lyrics, so you can’t sing along. It’s monotonous and robotic. Also, why do they like to take perfectly good songs and create techno versions? Whitney Houston never meant for there to be a techno version of I Will Always Love You.

The only genre I hate is country though I do despise certain artists in all music genres. As others have said, Miley Cyrus, Lady gaga and the ****cat Dolls are atrocious. I hate any of the big name rap artists like 50 cent, Lil Wayne, Eminem etc. Some metal groups are also just terrible imo like Converge, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Cannibal Corpse, Mudvayne among numerous others.

Ehhhhh? Could you explain perhaps?
Granted, I haven't heard their most recent release and Sacrament was a bit underwhelming but....
I'm really curious why you have a problem with them.

I really dislike that stuff my classmate keeps turning on every day in school. I think it's called electronic dance, trance or techno?

That, as anything else, is completely debatable.
Techno music is extremely mathematical. I happen to enjoy mathematically created music since I like math. But it's a personal taste that I understand others don't share.
By the way, I liked that music long before the "hallucinogenic drugs." Those came much later in college.
Oh, and they're fun too.....

Well i known quite few DJ's over the years and most of them are high-school drops outs... so no i still say it doesn't take much talent... and their math sucked. I don't care if you disagree.Wicked 702 wrote...

Almost everything[music] on the radio these days is pissing me off. And my colleagues are singing it all the time. What's worst, I have a cousin named Alehandro(sp?). Now I'll have to try to NOT laugh at him over the summer(for the record, I'll be at Santo Domingo).
