Let me add my voice to it also. My first play through as a Mage I did not notice it, but it REALLY frustrating with my Rogue character to not be able to poison my blades when in combat.

I've got this problem as well. I've got poisons and bombs I'd like to use, but I can't until I clear out some of my other ones first.

I haven't come back to play this game since I started this thread. And from the looks of things the problem is still not patched yet. Do please try to hurry BioWare, hear its a great game and would like to play it again...

Yeah and we have to wait until Return to Ostagar so they can charge us for it.

I'm having the same problem on the PS3. This is making the game almost unplayable for poison or trap-reliant rogues. Please fix this!

I've been experimenting with this, and I believe the problem is that it's not counting your traps when deciding whether you have enough items to scroll to the second page (even though the traps are taking up some space on the first page).

Poisons and bombs are counted; just not traps. Also, the poison-making skill is counted, but not the trap-making skill.

For example, if I put away all of my traps and have enough poisons and bombs to have *at least two* items on the second page, then it will let me scroll to the second page. However, if there is just one poison or bomb on the second page, it will not let me scroll to that page. (In this case the count is still off by one because the trap-making skill is still there.)

If I have enough poisons and bombs to let me scroll to the second page, then I can put traps back in my inventory and see everything (as long as it all fits on two pages). If I don't have enough poisons and bombs -- even if I'm just short by one -- then I won't be able to scroll to page 2, even if I add all my traps back.

So it looks like the situation is not as dire as I thought; I can work around it by keeping a wide variety of poisons and bombs (and not using up the last one of any given type).

I would hazard a guess that traps were in a separate radial menu at some point in this game's development, but then they were later merged into the poisons and bombs menu.

I hope this helps those of you who have also been having trouble with this menu.

Having the same problem on the Playstation with the traps and poisons radial menu, so don't think it's specific to anything you did on your console. Seems like it might be an error in the game code, so hopefully Bioware fixes this.

I made a suggestion on the Playstation discussion about this... perhaps separating the traps and poisons into two radial menus? It seems like there can lots of both. In the meantime, I'm thinking of making my traps when I need them - that way my poisons will show up again on the radial menu. That's the best solution I can think of that will probably work fine for me.

That being said, I really hope they fix this issue in the game. It kind of sucks not being able to put poisons on my weapons AND have my traps immediately available.

Same prob here on the Xbox 360. Healing potions radial menu works fine, but the poison & traps will not let me access the additional menu when I have enough poisons/traps to warrant a new menu.

I ran into it on a rogue char also. Now I'm going to try

a) removing traps

B) making many different kinds of bombs and poisons

c) putting my traps back.

Then never using last one of any kind of poison or bomb (unless life requires it I guess). We'll see.

I am having this same problem as well as the lag delay for loot to show up on corpses and no set bonus for the blood dragon armor being equipped.

I am running the standard version of DA (not down loaded to HD), and I have the DLC (Wardens keep, blood dragon armor, stone golem, memory band and the charm).

But the most annoying is definitely the poison/traps radial menu access issue.

Yeah, issues with radial menu for poisons and traps. Also, is anyone else exceedingly annoyed by the fact that stealing always breaks stealth? Fine you should be able to steal while not stealthed, but I don't think it should automatically break it either. If anything stealth should enhance your stealing talents.

Also, why is the combat initiation radius so friggin huge? A couple of the crime wave quests are impossible to complete without running around and killing a bunch of people first, because the combat radius is so huge it prevents you from leaving the area.

Oh yeah, why can't I delete saved games? There seems to be no option in the game to do this... and it's annoying.

Offsubject FYI:  When stealing while stealthed, your ranks in the stealth skill add as much to your chances of stealing success as your ranks in stealing.  Being stealthed before stealing enchances your chances of stealing success.

Regarding saves: If you go into your XBox menu and dig around till you get to system memory you can delete the games there (delete all the games for a given character and the character is also deleted)  It's frustrating that there's not an in-game interface for doing that when there's such a small limit on the number of characters you can have.

I'm encountering the exact same issue on my PS3. I havn't found a solution to it and it truly is frustrating when you're main is going to be a trap/bomb heavy character. Has anyone heard anything new or recieved the patch for the game yet which (hopefully) fixes this?

Jiir pointed out that it seems to be because traps are not being counted properly even if they are actually present. Therefore, the temporary solution is to make sure that you either don't use traps, or don't use too many so that your total of traps + other stuff (poison, lures) stays on page 1. If you do not use traps, you should be fine. Or if you use perhaps one type of trap and not much else, perhaps.

Anyway, it is possible to play using traps and other stuff, but limited effectiveness until they patch the problem. Gotta work with Edge of Reality for this since they are the ones who did the console versions.

Just throwing in my two cents, Xbox 360, game not installed to hard drive, haven’t added anything. Seen and operated the 2nd menu on spells but poison and traps forget it. Took me awhile to figure out that it was a bug and not something I was doing wrong. For right now, I’m just going to stop playing the rogue. Bah!!!

Hopefully we'll see a fix in time for DA:O:A...

Though a quick fix is to create your poisons and traps when you need them. It's a little irritating, but not game breaking IMO.

Problem is carting all the ingredients around. I usually drop off at the Keep and make everything to go to next mission.
