I'm writing sad Anders right now, so it's sort of perfect. Well, sad/angry/disgusted Anders, so pictures of him as Alistair being exiled work especially well (and on multiple levels!).

Even doing Alistair's expressions Anders does the best puppy dog eyes.

When doing his own...how can you resist this:

I love "sad kitten face" > "sad puppy face". When Anders looks at me like that I want to be executed for being such a witch.

(That's why I'm trying my best to keep Anders happy and making Cullen miserable instead)

Oh Surely, why am I nervous that you're writing sad Anders again?? I shall have to respond with Orlesian Anders/Neria smut.

Good thing since I write so much of it! ;)

I'm thrilled since I'm going to pick up my laptop soon which has almost-done chapters for each fic on it, but there's a big empty space in the middle of my blue skies chapter where I need to figure out how I'll manage Maggie/Zevran smut. At least I should be able to get a new AOA chapter up tonight at the very least, though.

Oh lovely.

Got my laptop back. And it wasn't until I got home that I noticed the wifi no longer works. Interesting, since I took it in for a broken keyboard.

Eh, at least I could get my almost done chapters off it with a thumbdrive.

But this picture perfectly sums up how I feel right now.

Bah - hope it gets fixed up soon.

Random fanfic related question - do you guys think it would be possible to make Anders angry enough that he'd act in a way that might be out of character?  Is that question vague enough  gah.

I sure hope so, but only because I have plans for him.  Mean, mean plans.

I have in the past, too, though.  I suppose it depends on how you write "your" Anders.  Mine has an overprotective/jealous streak that really didn't manifest until he and Maggie were pretty deeply involved.
So I've had incidents that push those buttons cause him to act out of character compared to the game, but not out of character in my fic.
If that makes any sense.

It does and thank you.  I've given him a big button pusher but wanted to make sure I wasn't going too far.

Glad to help. I think there's a bit more leeway with him in terms of acting out of character than there would be with, say, Alistair or Zevran, especially when it comes to pairing him with someone. We see what the Origins characters are like when involved with someone, but we have no idea how Anders would behave in a relationship. That's a wide open field for us to all interpret our own way.

Anyone found his drawing of Sir Pounce-a-Lot devouring a templar on one of the books in the Circle?

I've heard about it, but haven't had a chance to play WH yet. I've been wondering -- Does it actually say it's of Sir Pounce a Lot? I thought he didn't get Sir Pounce a Lot until Awakening. So maybe there was a Sir Pounce a Lot the First, sometime before or after Mr. Wiggums?

It does say Sir Pounce A Lot. Maybe it was his lifelong dream name for a cat?

Since he says he didn't name Mr. Wiggums, the "cute elven apprentice" who wore a "hat with kitty ears" did.

Before Mr. Wiggums. It's a tiger named Ser Pounce-a-Lot drawn by little/young Anders.

We all have to sleep sometime. ;)

So... do we think Anders would get seasick? Part of me thinks it would be funny, but I suspect the potential pirate ending would mean otherwise.

(they're on a boat. or, well, will be soon. And Anders has two tickets to that thing Maggie likes. But the tickets are now diamonds.)

Well, unless he can control the fluid in his inner ear, or the ship is incredibly stable, I imagine that seasickness is a definite possibility.

And the pirate ending doesn't necessarily mean he wouldn't be seasick his first time out. My grandfather used to talk all the time about how his first job was on a riverboat and for two months he would throw up ten minutes into every shift. Then it got better (and he eventually became a competitive deep sea fisherman who would take glorified dinghies out into the Gulf of Mexico for weeks at a time).

Ah, that makes sense. I've never been seasick, but I grew up on boats. If I was, it was probably way before I could remember. I always just figured some people get seasick and some don't.

I do remember my ex husband turning a particularly violent shade of green the first time I took him out and refusing to ever get on another small boat again.
