Re: David Gaider and Anders - he wrote a post somewhere about how he "strayed" from Alistair with Anders - it was hilarious and I wish I could find it. Something along the lines of "I've got a snarky mage now, and he's not a virgin and he can shoot lightning at stuff, so why would I want YOU any more?"

Kind of how I feel :).

Ooh, TOP:

Oh hey, it's my favorite picture in the history of ever. Bryce's Smirk by Association is the best thing.

I mentioned the David Gaider thing because it seems appropriately cruel. Along the lines of ALISTAIR NEVER LOVED YOU! only, you know, with sex.

Bought computer.
Looking forward to a new Awakenings run through where I don't have to turn the graphics and textures down to 'craptastical' level.
Already giddy at the thought of high-resolution Anders.

Also... Miri... :o:(:o  (ffnet really needs happy faces for the reviews.  sometimes they say it all.)
Update soon!!

I have it on good authority that we'll have to wait a few chapters for resolution to this one. Cruel Miri is cruel.

Also, years late on this, but Anders in black robes is the best (especially when he's wielding the IEoD):

Even Oghren seems to approve. That's one admiring glance.

Oh god. My brain is going to horrible places.
Please. Please make it stop.

I've also hopped on the "everyone in black" train. (although I may do a warrior on my next game just for this armor mod and I don't know if that armor plays nice with the dye kit.)

Arrgh. Truly sorry about the cruelty in my last chapter. I decided on a structure to Shades that I have to stick to otherwise everything will deteriorate into chaos - keeping track of the different character perspectives has already done my head in a couple of times (I actually have a list at the bottom of my text file for which character comes next now, after I nearly completely effed up the timeline). So... we have to have some Aedan and some Morrigan and some Ali/Lelli UST before we'll find out what happens to Anders.

But remember it's ANDERS. He's pretty good. Trust me.

Another variation of that picture is entitled "Oghren Approves" in my screenshot folder. I've already had my brain go there a couple of times and come back like "eh, could be worse." Oghren acts as a numbing agent for horrible things.

The dye kit should work on those armors unless they have custom textures. I use tmp7704's armor mod for my HFs and all of the in-game textures are compatible with the dye kit. I need to test out the Golem Shell armor with the dye kit. It's badass, but nothing in game matches it.

@Miri  Squee!  Oh, Ali/Leli. I'm going to follow you around the internet after you post that chapter, squeeing. It's the perfect distraction from Anders in Distress. PS. As if I could ever give you a hard time about being cruel.

True. There are elements of pots and kettles there :).

And you know, if it wasn't for the farting and the belching, Oghren's actually pretty hot.

It is hers! She posted it to the Zevran thread the other day and I nearly choked on my coffee.

She rocks. I want her to finish Dead Duster Walking eventually, although I'm not going to pressure her. Missa Brosca is so the only Dwarf Commoner for me. Every time I try a DC playthrough I just give up 'cos none of my girls will ever be her.

Isn't it funny how that happens? And I totally agree with you on that. (I'm the same way with DN, it's torn between Sarah's Aunn and Aimo's DN art. I wanted to do a dwarf story eventually and just feel like I can't because those are all such strong characters.)

(debating starting a Jowan thread but not sure if there's enough interest. Well, from anyone other than me.)

(Amused by the the first new!kmeme request.)

Mmm. I think if you started a Jowan thread it might be mobbed by Jowan haters... There are many of them out there.

And then it will, inevitably, devolve into an Alistair v. Loghain argument. On the plus side, some nice fic might come out of it.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing.
(and seriously, EVERYTHING seems to devolve into an Alistair vs Loghain argument.  I popped into the Cullen thread the other day and there was a whole page of people talking about Alistair! <_<)

The modder who asked me to touch up the Jowan dialogue apparently liked what I did since she asked if I could add in a bunch of new conversations. (including working in a post-quest "I has a sad" "man up, be an awesome badass blood mage" personality change option) I was hoping to bounce ideas off the, what, three Jowan fans in the world.

Hey, Anders has magical abilities. This thread has yet to devolve into an Alistair/Loghain argument. GO US!

That is actually insanely impressive, considering. Of course, there's no straight line from Anders to Alistair or Loghain, so that helps a great deal. Another reason why the Anders thread is the best thread.

*is battle scarred from too many L v. A fights to count*

Did you see the way Loghain looked at Anders that time in the Vigil hall? Discuss....

I would actually love to see Loghain interacting with the Awakening companions (KoP has corrupted me). From his cameo, he seems much more relaxed and almost...cheerful? I bet he'd find Sigrun to be...interesting.
