What sense did you have?

Also, Anderstair is a total tramp. All it took to go from neutral to screwing like rabbits was a Grey Warden hand puppet.

Sight. Easy in theory, but I've been battling the execution and trying to make it be more than just smut.

I, shamefully enough, have a save file for all my testing experiments entitled "Fun Times". It's a bit erroneous, as it's also for trying stuff out at the Landsmeet and that almost never ends in Fun for anyone. Mostly, though, it's for experiments in skankiness with all three LI's.

ToP? Of course, now that I've moved on to Awakening.

Anders:
Why aren't we naked? Or at least annoying Morrigan with public affection?
Brand: This looks suspiciously like the Warehouse of No Fun.
Anders: Oh. How disappointing.
Brand: Indeed. Look out for templars.
Anders: When you say no fun, you really mean it.

Anders: Want to go remind the templars we're untouchable Grey Wardens again?
Maggie: Hell yeah.
Anders: I think I see Carroll on duty.
Maggie: Fantastic!  He keeps his lyrium in his left pocket.  Just saying...

Lupus, I love this screenshot! Is this a mod?

it's the improved Alistair romance mod. With Anderstair instead, of course. If you're playing a mage you can have a little date on the shore of Lake Calenhad.
A few others from the same scene.
Posted Image
Maggie: That place sucked.
Anders: Yes.  Yes it did.
Maggie: And now we're out.
Anders: Let's go throw rocks!

Posted Image
Maggie: And here's another thing wrong with the way mages are treated...
Anders: Oh Maker, not this again.  Does she expect me to disagree??

Posted Image
Anders: Still on the mage thing.  Well... I'll just entertain myself by staring at her chest.  Yes.  That will work.
Maggie: Does he really think I don't notice that?  Eh, like I care.

I won't admit how many times I ran through that to get the perfect screenshots. I just won't.
(or how much I'm looking forward to seeing it with the graphics above medium and textures above low)
This is the mod. Some of the sex scenes are a bit... um... graphic (in which I mean REALLY graphic :o), so be warned.

I know you said you don't use a lot of mods, but they're really not as bad to install as you'd think. If you download something like this first all you have to do is open that program, open the mod, and it does all the work.
(and there's a mod to skip the fade. Go from duncan to each companion to the sloth demon, and you still get all the xp, codexes, and stat boosts. That alone makes it worth it. I hate the damn fade)

Must. Download. Mods. Damn real life getting in the way.

I've just realised I can't put Anderstair in until I've finished my Aedan playthrough. There's no way I could go through with executing him!

I'm so jealous of the mage date. All the HN gets is a cuddle after killing Howe. While sweet (and appropriate, I guess), it's kind of depressing.

And playing that for the perfect screenshot is nothing compared to playing some of those explicit sex scenes for one single shot that I was never able to grab. To paraphrase Klarabella when the BSC first came out, give Anderstair some privacy. Yikes.

oh god. I can't even imagine. Executing Alistair is tough enough...

That mod also gives you a cute scene where you can go off on your own in camp. Not sex, just leaning against a tree, sitting on the grass, that sort of thing.

Like such...

Posted Image

Surely... I know what you mean. Some of those scenes... They make the smut I WRITE look like DISNEY MOVIE. I felt like I was doing something wrong just watching them.

But it is great when you do get the perfect screen grab.

It's weird because I *know* bioware weren't that subtle, but looking at those screenies, Anders has Alistair's facial expressions! I can't imagine him looking as serious as he does in that last one of yours Lupus :).

I suppose I've never seen him having sex before though - damned non-romancable Awakenings NPC :(.

I have that last screengrab with an infinite combination of characters (from Brand/Zevran to Ron/Zevron) and I can never figure out the damned logistics and what exactly I'm seeing.

The date around camp is incredibly cute. And, hey! PC smiles!
Posted Image

I think my biggest issue with the BSC mod are the facial expressions. Seriously, what is the deal, you guys?

Posted Image
Brand: I don't know, I still feel like something's not quite right...
Anders: You didn't forget to grab the ashes, did you? Because if I have to watch you take five hours to do that bridge puzzle again...
Brand: F*ck.
Anders: F*ck. Seriously? At least let me finish.

Yes! the expressions are very... um.

Maggie Smash!

Is Oghren watching through Sigrun's spyglass??

As for the logistics... um... I think she's on her side but straining her neck to look up/back at him, and he's on his side behind her, and probably has his top arm hooked under her top leg to hold it up, and um, I may get banned if I go into more detail.
Just a theory, though.

I don't believe the expression is a character specific one in the toolset, I think it just looks so Alistair-like on Anders since they have so many facial similarities.

But I'd like to think Anders looks serious because he's doing whatever the Ferelden mage equivalent of mentally listing batting averages is. Listing all the spells he knows in the order he learned them or something, maybe. Since yes, it is out of character for him. Or at least the Anders/Maggie version of him.

I agree -- I can see Alistair's expression in quite a few of the shots, especially the Dahlia's first night mod. The expression of wonder looks so wrong on his face!

It's all interpretation. That's not "wow, so this is sex!" That's "Did she REALLY fall for that line about a pretty girl and a hot meal?!"

The expression in Lupus' pic is actually a Zevran expression, since that was originally a Zevran sex scene. So that's Lover Zevran face.

And there are a few places where Alistair faces look wrong on Anders. Alistair...I feel like Alistair uses his eyebrows a lot and is just broader in general. Anders is expressive, but the Awakening animations are more varied and more refined over all.

Also...

*mentally listing batting averages* made me chuckle. But of course - cultural divide had me thinking of cricket rather than baseball and *that* led me to thinking of Peter Davison in Doctor Who and he looks kind of like Anders, don't you think?

Oof. My prompt fill is close to 3500 words. 3500 words of suuuuuuuck.

In addition to myself for signing up, I'm blaming this on Anderstair. He's gotten my brain all confused.

I loooove Peter Davison. Although Tom Baker was the Doctor of my childhood and so will always be first in my heart, Davison was my teenage doctor and so full of RAWR.

He's a bit similar to Anders personality wise as well - distracted and witty and so darn NICE.

Not a huge fan of the new Doctors though. Probably because of that hideous Rose woman. She needs to DIAF.

Not even Tennant? He's such a doll.:wub:
Rose has been gone for a bit so you should be safe to watch now. She hasn't been a regular character since the second season.

Baker was also the Doctor of my childhood. I swear, some day I'm knitting myself one of those scarves. I learned just enough knitting to do a scarf or... well, anything else that is completely flat and shapeless with straight sides.

Hehe. I knitted heaps when I was pregnant with my first - of course it was all girls stuff and I didn't have enough time to knit for this one so of course my son will always feel shortchanged and probably have huge emotional issues for the rest of his life because his mother loved his sister more...

Man, I've been reading too much Mark Reads Harry Potter.

I love David Tennant, but the TIME issue is huge, as is the TV in front of Toddlers thing. I'd love to sit down and watch all the new ones but they're not really suitable for two year olds. So I have to wait until the kids are older.

Oh, off topic much? Have an Anders!

Yes, I think Payroo would do an awesome Maggie/Anders - she really captures the fun element, which I think is the best thing about their relationship.
