Mmm, I've got Monkey Island special edition, they renewed the graphics and voiced everyone! It has nothing to do with Anders except that Guybrush looks and sounds a bit like young pirate version of our ser mage, but that explains why I can't write/read/draw anything right now, last time I was playing it I was a kid and barely could understand the jokes, but still fell in love with that game. Now I feel like I'm 12 again. I think there'll be more pirate!Anders soon ))))

it can be combined with the "milder romance scenes" mod, but I think you'd be getting into more complicated installation issues.

Well, they did replace all the awkward sex scenes, but other than the first you don't have to initiate anything. (and it doesn't take their underwear off unless you have that mod, too)

And the first isn't one of the WOAH WHAT HAPPENED ones.



(ooh, the guy voicing varric is the same person who did Leske and Dwyn! Very happy about this!)

I have the mild sex scenes mod and even that is a bit woah, if you're a prude like me. I mean, for Ali's first time *I* wouldn't be doing that!! You've got to keep some things in reserve!

I am pretty much the anti-prude and I still go  during the two more explicit scenes. It's even funnier when you compare them to tmp7704's scenes (for Alistair and Leliana), which are incredibly sexy without being very explicit at all.

Oh, it's definitely that. He admitted that he was inspired by lamppost licking when he did the Alistair/elf scene. I always forget about it, having never romanced Alistair as an elf (which, I hear, has caused me to be considered cruel and unusual in some circles).

I got a bit of a shock, seeing as I'd never romanced him as an elf either. I had Neria romance him in my Origins playthrough for fun (seeing as she was just going through Origins to get to Awakenings and Anders) although come to think of it I REALLY should have gone for Leliana this time as I've never romanced her properly.



Something about romancing Leli with an elf doesn't sit right, though, given her "accidentally racist" comments. In any case Neria cheated on Ali immediately after Anders joined her party.



On topic - I truly, truly love Gala's femAnders. I sooo want to do a fic with her in it now.

I don't get what the deal is with Alistair/elf pairings, though. Is it the Fiona thing?

Add that to Katriel and suddenly an elf-fetish appreication is a Theirin trait.

I won't get into the elf/Ali fetish because some of my favorite people love it (Mahariels and Suranas usually), but I can't do Alistair/elf because of the whole objectification of elves by humans and his line when asked if he likes the PC even though she's not human. He says "Especially because of that" and it hits me so incredibly wrong, I can't even stand it.

City Elf was the first origin I played and it caught me in a very personal place and made me angry at every human dude in the game. When I found out about the line later, it pretty much sealed Alistair's fate as never, ever getting elf booty in my games, even if he is a nice guy.

I can get over Leliana being racist, because she's just ignorant and seems completely willing to change her views. Ron was very straightforward with her and she seemed genuinely upset that what she said offended him and gave positive approval even though he sort of put her through it.

Yes the "especially because of that" is slightly creepy when you think about Maric and Fiona and Katriel.



On an Anders note - he strikes me as being completely non-racist. I love when he says to Sigrun "I always thought dwarves would be nicer" because it's so sweet - he would never have come across dwarves in the Tower and I imagine him thinking about how cool they would be simply because they were so far removed from everything circle-like. Also his line to Velanna isn't about elves - just tattoos.

That line always bugged me, too. He says it to a dwarf as well. It's just so... ick.



Miri- I have the exact same thought about Anders. Not sure how much is based in reality and how much is because I can't bear to to think of him as having traits that horrible.



I actually gave him a "You mean we can go to Orzammar? Really? Really?!" moment ages ago since I figured Orzammar is, metaphorically, as far as you can get from Circle tower and he'd be all about that.



(also, it seems like almost every unfilled kmeme prompt for Anders is a Nathaniel/Anders one. So I'm doing a Sigrun/Nathaniel fill since, hey, why not. She doesn't get enough love.)

I always imagine Anders (and most mages, tbh) to be totally cool with other races. Human/elves are equal in the Tower* and everyone knows that dwarves are awesome.

*I'd say that this makes the humans far more likely to be cool with elves than their non-Tower brethren, but elves probably still suffer some degree of discrimination within the Circle.

I thought about throwing a Ron/Sigrun fill at the kmeme requester, but it would be terribly anon!fail and she might not find Ron as relentlessly awesome as I do. Nate/Sigrun is probably a safer bet.

There's a King Alistair/Mistress Cousland/Anders one that caught my eye a few nights ago and I so want to fill it because I have Ideas (an entire fic's worth, in fact) , but I would be compelled to make Anders out-awesome Alistair and I think that would be missing the point by a fair stretch.

wow, that's an awful joke.

Besides, mine's only barely anon since I'm using the Sigrun and Nate from my stories and it will definitely be an anon fail when I post it as a oneshot on ffnet. I'd post it under my own LJ name if it was allowed since I really don't care about the anon thing. It's not like my normal stuff isn't full of smutty bits anyways.



(I just can't do *boom*sexscene!* stuff... I need people to have a reason to be doing what they're doing, so it's less "kmeme fill" and more "sigrun and nate oneshot story of their first time together")

I did a supremely lazy fill earlier. Someone wanted sound-kink. So I just linked to my post on the Anders LJ for the senses challenge. But I did it without logging in so I don't think I was breaking the rules. I can't really see pasting something I've written and posted elsewhere into an anon post.

It seems like a lot of the really long fills are mostly story, so I'm not terribly worried about it.
