I usually let the computer do all the work, apart from giving him Spirit Healer/Arcane Warrior/Battlemage specialty at the beginning. Also I hate the idea of changing him into any other outfit then what he wore at the beginning, so unless he was very smexy looking in it, I wouldn't do a thing.

Hmm. The only thing is, the bonuses from Keeper look like they could be more useful for a traditional mage than the ones from Arcane Warrior. That's not talking about the actual spells.

My f!ME character romanced Alenko exclusive and treat everyone else as best buddy. Garrus is cool but not my cup of tea. But I am so glad we share at least two (and soon will be three?) LI Camps here. XD

Heh, no probs. Garrus is cool even as a buddy, so that's fine by me. And I have a separate Shepard for Kaidan as well Posted Image

But yeah, three LI camps it is. I will eventually make a character just for Anders, even if it's only wishful thinking.

I think I'm a character **** - I go for Alistair, Zev, Teagan (even though he's not romancable!), Alenko, Tali & Thane. Garrus is my favorite friend (not LI) & I take him everywhere. (I would also add Geralt from the Witcher to the list)

But, of course, there can only be one Anders, and he rules all, as it should be.

She's watching me, isn't she? I know she's watching. Can't keep her eyes off me. *smirk*

My full list? Zev, Alistair, Garrus, Tali, Thane and Kaidan. And now, of course, Anders.

'Course, I've yet to play KOTOR and Jade Empire, but once I do, the list will probably be longer.

With the way them mage robes are cut, you could almost say her boobs are watching you too, Anders. Posted Image

I'm an Alistair/Leliana fan but, in Surelyland, my two favorite PCs end up with Anders (after romancing Alistair) and Sigrun (after romancing Morrigan).

I am playing through ME for the first time right now (and it is doing nothing for my ability to get anything else done) and inadvertently romanced Liara instead of Kaidan. Actually, I think I did it subconsciously since I find Kaidan so relentlessly bland for some reason (because he's not a snarky blond, perhaps). Still, my Shepard is just biding her time until Garrus is available.

I'm usually quite lukewarm on the potential romances in Bioware games - I enjoy playing through the romances, sure, but none of them really appeals to me, personally - I always crushed hard on the non-romance options like Canderous (KotOR) and Loghain. That was, until Garrus. I <3 Garrus. I mean, I know he's a turian and all, with spiky bits, mandibles and chafing, but he makes me go all d'awwww. Posted Image
(Kaiden's alright. He's just very low key. I do have a femShep who remained loyal to him).
I'm still disappointed that there were no romances in Awakening. I was never really interested in Alistair, but I'd happily do Anders and Nathaniel. At the same time, even. Posted Image

Sure, I suppose the spiky bits, mandibles and chafing would be a deterrent for some. *eyes Garrus sigs*

I was determined not to cheat on Kaidan in ME2 (I don't know why but I really liked him. His views and my Shepard's were really compatible and it hadn't been very long for her since they'd been together) but I came THIS close to cheating on her with Garrus. I got up to Garrus' repeated 'Are we crazy for thinking about trying this' but then when I saw the Kaidan picture face-down in the cabin...I couldn't do it. Of course, with the way Garrus made it clear that you were the only one in the universe that meant anything to him anymore - which I'm sure Tali appreciated a great deal - it was hard to tell him no and I have no idea how he responds because I had to skip through his dialogue.

I told myself I wouldn't cheat on Kaidan in my first playthrough of ME2 and then I got to Horizon. And my Shepard's reaction was basically "oh yeah? well screw you too, Alenko. Take me now, you Turian batman!"
Especially since, if you bring Garrus with you to Horizon he'll defend you to Kaidan.

See, that's why I wanted to romance Kaidan, because it's more dramatic in ME2. I'm still not certain how Liara ended up being The One. At least Leliana never actually pulled the rug out from under another romance with her ninja love.

See, I couldn't blame Kaidan for being pissed that he thought I was dead and I wasn't (and never contacted him but to be fair Anderson wouldn't tell me how) and I agreed with what he said about Cerberus. We had seen them pull a lot of **** in ME1 and that was all he knew of them. I was starting to see the shades of grey but he didn't have access to any of that information and given that half the colony had just been taken on top of everything else...I didn't hold him lashing out a little against him. If he keeps acting like a jerk then we'll have problems but I thought Horizen was forgivable.

Ashley's 'I approve of Cerberus' methods but they're traitors to the Alliance' approach on the other hand...at least with Kaidan it was about morality. Posted Image

Yeah, yeah. But Turian Batman!

I made the mistake of being on a forum with a ton of Kaidan fangirls who about killed themselves when ME2 came out. It was sort of hilarious at the time because most of them hadn't played DAO, so I was like "Yeah, call me when he dumps you in front of a room full of your friends because the thing that makes you a Big Damn Hero also renders you infertile and doomed to an early death."

Ok, speaking of someone who hasn't played ME 1 or 2...I respect your love of other characters (this Garrus chap sounds fascinating and I SHALL buy the game eventually)... but Anders is the jealous type...

I'm not a fanatic about it or anything and if I ever get the urge to play ME2 without importing (which I doubt I will as I've heard the default world involves a human-led Council and I Posted Image the Turian Councillor) then I'd probably go after Garrus. Or Thane. I just like the ME1 romances better (all of them) because that dialogue system was better and you could talk to them more often and longer.

I quite like those robes on him too, actually. Kind of looks like a suit...

Mmm. Anders in a suit. I have to admit, suits DO IT for me. I'm a sucker for men in authority. Or maybe it's men with money? Mmm.

That's the reason in Origins I only have two playthroughs romancing with Alastairs exclusive (checking around to see if there are any assassinating squad from the Ali camp). All the rest are either double crossing or Zevran all the way.

Anders...I only just managed to download the Stone Prisoner last night and when Matthias started talking I nearly fell off the chair from the realisation 'That's Anders Voice!'! <3

And Miri, so with you on men in suits. There is NOTHING better than a guy in a well-fitting suit.

Or uniforms (well, some uniforms. Firefighters or Marines something not, say, grocery store uniforms.)

Have to disagree on the suit thing - I'm more of a tradie girl. Probably because I've spent my life surrounded by suits....

Tradie Anders ftw:

You know... thinking about it, maybe I just dig any indication that a guy has a job.

Ah, how my standards have fallen. ;)

There's a lot to be said for a man with no shirt on as well. But whenever my husband wears a tie he has a hard time getting out of the house.

I remember when we first started going out (back in the dark ages, when they used candles) he turned up to one of our dates still in his work clothes (I had NO idea what he did back then - it still confuses me a bit, something to do with statistics? Money? Banks? About as far removed from the means of production as is humanly possible) and I think I decided to marry him IMMEDIATELY.

Took another six years of convincing, but we got there in the end.

In other news - I've started dreaming about Nathaniel. Why aren't I dreaming about Anders? It's not like I've got hours and hours of dreaming time at the moment!

I was actually thinking about Anders and jealousy today. Besides small flares of covetousness, my Anders isn't really the jealous type at all. He seems too genuinely confident and too opposed to controlling behavior, and jealousy and control are very much linked in my mind.

And did they o_O?

Can't stand ME.  I really tried.  But I am learning to appreciate the not-so-subtle charms of the Polish mutant.  Now there's a man-wh*re.  Apparently he lost his true love, but in the meantime the game even acknowledges that he pulls his willy out as much as he does his sword.  And... I'm ok with that!

Must I be on topic?  Must I?  That's what I get for lurking in the Anders thread.

Anders!
