Yeah, yeah. But Turian Batman!

I made the mistake of being on a forum with a ton of Kaidan fangirls who about killed themselves when ME2 came out. It was sort of hilarious at the time because most of them hadn't played DAO, so I was like "Yeah, call me when he dumps you in front of a room full of your friends because the thing that makes you a Big Damn Hero also renders you infertile and doomed to an early death."

And did they o_O?

"But...but...he was meeeeeeeeeeean!"
I almost told them about the whole Dark Ritual drama, but decided to let some of them find out on their own.

Yeah, I think people really overreacted to that. He seemed justifiably upset and confused and he quickly apologizes and asks to talk to you when you're not busy saving the galaxy again.

From Kaiden p.o.v his attitude makes perfect sense. He doesn't know Shep was dead for those 2 years until she tells him.

Then, as Sarah says, he says he'll chat later, And sends you a nice email...

I completely agree. I think I would've been more upset if he'd gone, "Hey working for our enemy? Sign me up!"

@Addai -- I too have been charmed by the Polish mutant. I had to look up all the backstory to find out what had gone on before. I thought I'd dislike the sl*ttish behavior I'd heard of before I started the game--- but somehow it didn't seem sl*ttish at all. It was just Geralt.

@dressed up vs dressed down -- in general I like guys in jeans and cool shoes. Suits w/a tie seem uptight or like they strangely overdress (especially for a date!). A suit without a tie, and the dress shirt a few buttons undone -- another story altogether!

As for hottest --- Anders in mage robes *waves self* Or... Anders in jeans and no shirt and no shoes with the top button undone... That I'd like a picture of. I'd take it everywhere.

I just wish my hubby had an in-between state of dress. He's suit or barefoot and shorts. And he refuses to wear cable knit. He would look SOO hot in a cardigan (am I a bit weird??).

Anders in cable knit! Man I wish I could draw...

I don't think it's weird, I dig guys in sweaters. (Of course, I also live in a city where winter is nine months long, so that may skew my opinions in favor of warm clothes.)

Ohh... Anders in a pea coat with said cable knit sweater. Mmmmmm.

Mmmm...sweaters... attractive and they make hugs snuggly.

Also, Anders in a pea coat is pretty much too much. I don't think my poor lil' heart could handle that.

I had to google a pea coat - I think I call it a duffle coat - but YES. Mmmm yes.

Or a leather coat like the one Christopher Eccleston wore on Doctor Who. Yes. That would be... nice.

I think my brain fried somewhere around the time when Anders in a suit was mentioned. There's very little I can think of that's sexier (IMO) than a man in a well-fitting suit...

*fans self*

Now if there were only more good-looking guys at my workplace...Most of them wear suits!

Anders-related question: when does he suggest what kind of gifts he likes? I went ahead and gave him Pounce the moment I found him, but then it occurred to me that, storyline-wise, it made very little sense for my Warden to do that then, since a) she'd almost literally just met Anders, and B) had no idea that he might want to have a cat.

I think my enthusiasm got the best of me there.

On random other topics that were brought up: sure, I can understand that Kaidan would be upset at seeing Shepard still alive and working for Cerberus after 2 years, but come on. He gives her/him NO benefit of the doubt. Also, it's like he can't hear "I spend the past 2 years dead". Still, I wouldn't cheat on him: my Garrus- and ThaneSheps were both single in ME1.

Sarah1281 wrote...

Of course, with the way Garrus made it clear that you were the only one in the universe that meant anything to him anymore - which I'm sure Tali appreciated a great deal

Not sure I get what you mean there. Why would Tali be upset at that? Posted Image

Re: Pounce - once you have enough approval Anders will tell you about Mr Wiggums. If you give him Pounce after that you'll get extra bonus approval (I think).

Otherwise I don't think he does - its just shiny things and things for Pounce iirc :)

Bah! I knew I should've waited! I made a point of waiting until the Origins companions all mentioned their storyline gifts before giving them to them.

Guess I fell prey to the Anders effect. I am weak.

He does that.  Its really hard not to give him kitty straight away, he's so cute if you do.  But his post Wiggums convo is cute too - cursed mages and their cuteness

I'm not saying that she would be. I just always found it strange that he's all 'Everyone I know in the world but you is dead, Shepard' and Tali is right there and someone that he knows - if not as well as Shepard - than close enough given that they knew each other for the same length of time and spent the same mission together and yet he doesn't even seem to acknowledge that he even remembers her.

Yeah, but Tali was busy in  the engine room and Garrus had important Mako-related business to attend to. Shepard is the only one who can tear herself away from her job to go talk  to people. (Sidenote: any of you who were able to stay faithful  to Kaidan after Garrus tells you that he could have taken down more than your shields if he wanted to are far stronger than I am).

And and, last night I dreamed about Anders in a sweater. Oh, wait. It wasn't a sweater, it was The Clown Sweater and not even Anders can pull that stuff off.

Tali was also, I suspect, the equivalent to a teenager in the first game. She and Garrus probably didn't hang out much for that reason alone.

Although at one point, I think on the Citadel, if you have them both with you he makes a joke about how they used to spend time in elevators asking her about life on the migrant fleet, and she threatens to shoot him if he starts again.

Hi -- I was cruising through the threads and saw your Anders pics. They're just awesome! I wasn't a huge Anders fan at first -- looked at him as an Alistair wannabe but it didn't take long in my Awakenings playthrough to see how truly awesome he is as a mage and good to look at as well. I admit I <3 Anders!

He's hard to resist, this is true! And I'm glad that you found the thread. Everyone should get to see all the awesome Anders art!

And, appropriate to last night's conversation, today is apparently International Suit Up Day. Someone needs to draw or photoshop a suited up Anders. A group of tv geeks The universe decrees it!

That's not quite what he says. He says Shepard is about the only friend he's got left and the person he trusts the most. Considering that I never thought him and Tali were best pals, that statement didn't shock me. Sure, they were comrades, and they probably appreciate each other more as of ME2, simply because they've known each other a lot longer than any of the other squaddies, but I never got the "Garrus & Tali BFFs" or "brother & sister" vibe. Some of the things he tells her in ME1 are borderline insulting, even though he does apologize eventually. And she doesn't sound happy about the "tell me about your immune system" comment in ME2. Not playfully irritated, like you'd be at a joke. Just irritated.

As for Tali being a teenager, she was 22 in ME1, 24 in ME2. Quarians have similar lifespans to humans, so that's hardly a teen. If anything, Liara behaved more like an infatuated teenager than Tali did.

But yeah, Anders Posted Image If I could draw with anything but pencil and paper, or had a scanner handy, I would totally draw him in a suit.

Who said anything about them being BFFs or like siblings? I just thought it was a slight snub and really nothing to get all worked up over.
