There is something to be said for a distinguished good looking older fellow. Many somethings, really.

And Miri, I like the new icon. Is that Alim?

Yes. I got sick of Aedan looking at me like I'd done something wrong. Alim is kind of like a male Maggie - he and Alistair are BFF and he totally digs Zevran (although Zev doesn't leave him - well he does, but he leaves him at the same time as Alim is called to Weisshaupt so they would have had to part ways anyway). He's surprisingly fun to play because I choose all the silly options. Totally going to say "Hah, you lose" when we beat Loghain at the Landsmeet .



He had a huge crush on Anders at the Tower as well, but Anders is straight in that universe.

The "is Anders gay or straight" is a far more contentious issue than I realized.



Personally, I always figured he was the sort not to let something silly like "gender" get in his way when there are good times to be had.

No, I agree. I think Anders is straight for convenience sake rather than from overwhelming personal preference. Decante does a great story where Zev seduces him and Anders is like.. "Well, I'm not into men, but if you're going to do THAT then...WE'RE ON!"



I don't agree with the Nate/Anders shipping, though, even though some of the fics are quite sweet. I just don't think Nathaniel would ever have the patience for Anders. Zev/Anders is much more likely IMO.

seconded on that, definitely. There are some nice fics but... I think Anders would go nuts with someone that serious. (and Nathaniel would be driven completely insane by Anders' flippancy.)



Plus, I like him with other mages (well... clearly).



Are you going to write about Alim?

Yup yup. One shots mainly (I have a feeling a lot of the Alim Awakenings story will be done for Anders prompts). Alim is the warden in Caged - the fic where Miranda Cousland is captured by Howe. He's kind of a secondary character in that one, as it focuses mainly on Ali and Miranda. But the Ali/Miranda story is closed now - nice satisfactory romantic ending - so if I write in that universe it will concentrate on Alim and Zev.



It's funny about having Anders with mages rather than non-mages. I quite like Tabris/Anders as a pairing, but really Surana/Amell seems to suit him so much better.



Sigrun/Anders would work as well I think. Anders is leaning that way in Shades, although I think Sigrun might be a little bit "meh" about him.

No actual French girls were involved. Anders is just bein' silly. Although, that would be a perfect way to work Leliana into things.

I can see Sigrun/Anders. But I prefer Sigrun/Nathaniel. Even though she's so chipper, they both have that strong sense of duty and responsibility. And she seems to like teasing him.

I so love Sigrun's banter with Justice. In that same Decante story she's paired with warden Alistair - it's kind of adorable.
