:wub::wub::wub: Anders pictures.

That top one of Gala's is always my favorite. Gala Anders = Awesomeness

To weigh in one the whole Velanna thing -- I actually have never killed her, and do kind of like her in a weird way. I I feel sorry for her, that she's made her life into something that's so unhappy that she can't really find joy. And when she does find something happy, she quickly closes it away and grumps about it. So my wardens put up with getting her points up (even though she's still ****y at the end) and hope she'll grow enough to let go of the hate someday.

Of course -- that doesn't stop me from using her as a wonderful foil in my fics. She gives such good cold b**chiness, that it's lovely to have the other characters play off of her :) I must be the bctih, I use her for my own amusements

Top Again!

Now I'm curious. What exactly do you like about her? I could admire the fact that she takes pride in her people, but she's basically pissed them off almost as much as she's pissed off the humans. She's arrogant, aggressive, selfish and close-minded. If you work at it you can get her to admit that the Dalish are awesome, but she never says anything nice about anyone in the party. And as Nathaniel says, her ears are clownish.

I'm not quite sure how to put it into words. I often like the more controversial characters in fandoms. I don't approve of Velanna's murdering spree, of course, but her difficult attitude is just part of the fun. I like Nathaniel's irritation with you before you prove yourself to him and he meets Delilah as well. It's more of a challenge, I guess, to get people like her to like you and thus there's a definite rewarding feeling when you do get her to open up whereas more amiable people like Anders are friendly from the minute you save them from the templars.

How did Anders get his hands on one of these former royal garment? Not to mention the shere size difference....

New theory: Anders visited Orzammar on one of his escapes and was so fabulous that Endrin decided to steal his wardrobe ideas. Posted Image

Sarah, as a character she's interesting, but I don't find her likable. She certainly adds to the story,

I don't understand why people hate Vel. After she told my Mari about the lost tales I wanted to hug her. I really like her. I understand why she hated humans, though what makes me like her even more is her change. One of her last talks with Justice, for example, when she wants to redeem herself, and then she does it, according to epilogue. I also like that she's wise, she doesn't deny that she was wrong. And she has hilarious conversations with dwarves about the stone babies! And about the pretty brush with Nate, or about the fireballs with Anders.

But I can't see her with a human man. It's not racism. I think she could fall in love with a human, but she would fight it, because to keep her people's heritage is more important to her than her own life and happiness. Besides, you all remember what Fiona told Maric about humans and elves together? It could lead to the extinction of elves, so they have no choice, they must avoid relationships with humans. Besides other people won't treat them like equal, they will always be elven ****s/slaves/toys to the others.

I wish I could make her return to her clan in the end, I think that after her adventures with my warden she could've been awesome keeper.

OMG, I've just written an essay XD. Sorry for offtopic. And I'm not an elf-fetishist at all, honestly!

Lovely as always, Gala. And your defense if Vel was very eloquent! I may have to investigate those banters a bit more. She's so rarely in my party that I don't get the chance to hear most of them.

So Gala, "third favourite"? I'm assuming Rhiammon's your first - so who's the second? All curious now!

Rhia is actually the second. The first is Flemeth  I know, it sounds crazy, but I think the old crazy hag is awesome, even though I usually kill her.

Sketched Marina and Anders, I miss them a bit:

Awww! He's saving her from something again isn't he? Even if it's just tired feet... I'd still be swooning.

And Flemeth IS awesome. Kate Mulgrew did a fantastic job voicing her. The implication from all the DA2 talk is that even if you DID kill her she's still around, so you must be pretty happy about that :). I know I am.

I'm chiming in with my Flemeth love. I never kill her. Not since my first game have I done so. I trust her more than Morrigan for some reason (can't just be Madam Mulgrew's voice surely ;-) )

Finding out she'd be in DA2 moved it further up my 'to buy' list.

Gala - that pic is so cute.

I spared Flemeth just once. It was my pathetic Cousland. She thought that a future queen shouldn't have such a powerfull enemy. My lawful Surana was a Chantry pet, so she killed Flemeth, and Rhia was: "Wow, a challenge! I'm going to kill THE Flemeth! Awesome!"

But I love the old witch anyway. She's an interesting enemy and she doesn't really die. BTW, I think she created the Architect, because he started the Blight, and Morrigan in WH said that Flemeth did that.

Did she? But I thought Architect said he was born like that. The Mother said he was unique.

Is Flemeth really that powerful?

But born like that how? I wouldn't have thought it would be a random coincidence. It's possible that Flemeth manipulated a broodmother to give birth to a sentient darkspawn.

Man, she's creepy. But awesome at the same time.

and she has horns!

I have a theory that Flemeth is the Maker. Its based on nothing as most of my theories are but, hey, I was almost first to guess Flemeth would be in DA2.

Here

The Architect was apparently born vastly different from his darkspawn brethren. Unlike other darkspawn, it
is able to think independently of the darkspawn group mind, and, as such, is able to resist the calling of the Old Gods"~ Dragon Age Wiki.

I can't help but think your theory might just be based on this:

I have a question though, what exactly did Morrigan say in WH to imply that Flemeth created the Architect?

Maybe....a bit.  The not dying is impressive and she appears to know way too much about what's going on.  Plus, you know, horns.  Seriously, I'd like to play as Flemeth in DA2 - forget the Hawke chick.

I too would like the WH thing clarified.  I don't remember that.  But then I've only completed WH twice, and neither of those PC's were on good terms with Morrigan.  Perhaps you get different dialogue if she likes you (or in fact, knows you, after Lothering :innocent:)?

I am still collect enough point to download the WH DLC (having spend them all on Shale and Katsumi), so I want to know, too.

Horns...humph...perhaps Flemeth transfered herself into the body of a Quari after Morrigan...ahem...got away?

If she can transform into a dragon, perhaps she can transform herself how she wants to be seen. Morrigan just doesn't know about that bit of magic.

I'm another Flemeth-lover. Although over half the time I kill her. Have to go with the PC's character. I to have plans for Flemeth in my story, just a little bit of plans. But they do involve the Architect too!

Even if she didn't make him, she knows him.

I usually kill Flemeth, but I do love her. I figure the Warden isn't the first to strike her down and definitely won't be the last and I like Morrigan enough to not lie to her and the give her a small head start.
