Oh, and I did another prompt fill, Anders is in it a little bit, but its just for fun really:

Duncan was stringing his bow, the dappled light glinting off the dark wood as the wind blew through the branches of the forest. Little Sten stood, as always, silently nearby, while Leliana gently plucked at the strings of her lute, humming under her breath. It was peaceful in the forest. Too peaceful.

The crashing of branches told him before the man appeared who it would be.

"Much!" Anders said. "Will you never learn to move quietly? Loghain's men have been known to venture this far in you know."

The big blond man shot Anders a dirty look. "It's Alistair," he said to Anders. "Or would you like me to start calling you Scarlet again?"

Anders reached into his tunic and pulled out a round object, calling forth a flame from where ever he hid those firesticks of his. "By all means, Much."

Duncan groaned. "Please, men. There's no need to snipe at each other. We have enough to do here."

"Yes we do!" Alistair said, "Duncan, they've kidnapped Elissa! She's being held in the castle! We've got to do something!"

Elissa Cousland - cousin to the King.

"Where did you hear this, Alistair?"

"At the market place in town. The guards were gossiping about it! They say she's going to ... m..marry Sir Howe!"

Duncan tutted and jumped down from the branch he occupied. "Loghain's work, it must be," he said. "He wants to put his puppet on the throne."

"What are we going to do?" Leliana asked, putting her lute aside. Duncan smiled at her.

"What do you think we're going to do? We'll have to go and rescue her!"

"What, just walk into the castle, through the town and carry her out?" Alistair said.

"Of course not, Alistair," Anders said, grinning sidelong at him. "Duncan will have a plan, won't you Duncan? Does it involve exploding things?"

"If you're letting that madman come along," a rumbling deep voice came from behind them, "I'm staying here. You won't get me to attack a castle head on."

"Friar, here we were thinking you were asleep," Alistair said, sneering a little.

The short, fat red head sat upright, still holding his mug in one hand. "Sod you, Much," he growled. "You're insulting a man of the cloth."

"Oghren, you'll be coming with us," Duncan said. "I have a job for you and Little Sten."

The giant turned to Duncan, frowning. "I trust this plan will not involve any compromise of my honour, Duncan," he said.

Duncan clapped him on the shoulder. "Sten, honour will be gained today, not compromised. We go to save a fair damsel in distress. It is our duty. Vigilance, my friends. Always vigilance. Until the King returns, it's up to us."

"To Nottingham then?" Leliana said, excitement dancing in her eyes.

"To Nottingham!" Duncan cried. "Sheriff Loghain will rue the day he was born!"

That was great Miri. I'm not sure I approve of Nate being a villian though ;-)

Dr. Amell (enters Anders' office): ANDERS!
Dr. Anders: I didn't do it.
Dr. Amell: Of course you didn't! You never do anything. Now get your lazy ass out of here and go examine a patient.
Dr. Anders: Boooo-riiiing.
Kitty: Meow!
Dr. Amell: What's this? A cat? In a clinic? Anders, are you insane???
Dr. Anders (sad kitten face): He followed me home. Can I keep him, mommy?
Dr. Amell: Get rid of this thing now!
Dr. Anders: You won't fool me, woman. I know deep down inside you have a heart.
Dr. Amell: I have a patient for you. Does the name "Brand Guerrin" sounds familiar?
Dr. Anders: Your sponsor's widow?
Dr. Amell: Our hospital sponsor's widow. And it was so nice of her to keep donating after her husband's death, so the woman deserves the very best. And that means you get rid of this cat now, wash your hands, gather your team and find out what's wrong with her. Now! Or I'll bring my hound and order him to eat this cat right in front of you and will make you watch.
***Later***
Dr. Anders: What causes nosebleed?
Dr. Finn: It can be lupus.
Dr. Sketch: Or trauma.
Dr. Hawke: Or cancer.
Dr. Anders: Betsy!
Dr. Hawke: It's Bethany.
Dr. Anders: It's a place, not a name. Now go fetch me coffee.
Dr. Hawke leaves.
Dr. Anders: Sketch, you'll break into Guerrin house and search for everything suspicious and sexy panties. Finn, you'll do MR.
Dr. Sketch and Dr. Finn leave.
Dr. Anders: And I'll go borrow Howe's lunch.
***Later***
Brand: Dr. Anders?
Dr. Anders: No, just a cleaner. What's this? A laptop?
Brand: I like to... read
Dr. Anders: Fanfiction.net? (takes away the laptop)
Brand: Hey!
Dr. Anders: Just as I thought! See, your nosebleed has stopped.
Brand: Wow, doctor, it's a miracle!  Do you have plans for this evening?
Dr. Anders:
Brand: I think I owe you a dinner for saving my life!
***The end***
I hope SurelyForth doesn't mind about her Brand being a guest star of this episode?

Miri inspired me to do another prompt answer.  If I'm not allowed another - consider this a free story.

This has been brewing all weekend. After putting 'traumatised/drug & alcohol using' Anders into my prompt reponse, I wanted to do one with 'happy go lucky, skirt chasing Anders'. This includes bonus Nate (because I seem incapable of writing 'anything' without him (he was the SAS operative getting a trach tube in my prompt response btw)).

Glossary - the Kimberley is in far north western Australia - very isolated and beautiful. If anyone's interested. Pardon the very Australian tone of this. Feel free to ask for a translation ;-)

.......................

"There it is love, Manning Creek."

When the pilot turned to land, the wing dipped, giving Rho a good view of the house. "Its big, isn't it?"

"Yep." The radio squawked. "RB352." The news wasn't good. "Cyclone coming."

"Oh dear. Is that bad?"

"Depends. We get them a lot this time of year. Might be trapped." That could be a good thing. Last time he was here, that new cook had seemed pretty friendly. "You'll be right. They've lasted through worse than a bit of wind and rain."

Rho hadn't ever heard a cyclone described as a bit of wind and rain. Must be an outback thing. After spending her life in cities, coming to work in the Kimberley had seemed exciting. So far not so much exciting as different. It hadn't taken her very long to discover that the people out here had made understatement into an artform.

'Bit hot today.' That was her first clue. Bit hot? It's 45 degrees for goodness sake. 'Bloody hot today' would describe it better. Then there was the pilot. Andy, he'd said his name was. If he hadn't called her 'love' it had been 'mate'. The only time she could remember anyone actually calling her mate before this was when she'd lived in Brisbane.

She came out of her reverie when the plane slammed down on the runway. Seated right beside the pilot as she was, Rho could see him push both feet down on what she assumed was the brake. "Is everything alright Andy?"

"She's apples mate." All he had to do was turn at just the right moment and they should miss the shed. "There. Told you." He heard his passenger take a deep breath. "You right love?"

"Oh, fine." He'd barely scraped past that tin shed. Rho was reasonably sure she'd never be able to get in a plane again. "How long have you been a pilot?"

"Me? Ages. Have to fly myself you see, can't always get a plane when I need one. For emergencies." She looked a little confused. "I'm the district doctor. Easiest way to get myself around."

"The doctor? But, they said. I mean, why are you flying me out here?"

"Had to come past. Housekeeper's leg needs dressing." She blinked. "Better get a wriggle on love. Nate'll be waiting to take you back to the house."

"Oh! Yes. Thanks." Managing to wrench the door open, she jumped out. "Thank you for bringing me Andy."

"No worries love." Leaning across the now empty seat he grinned at her. "Be careful with the boss."

"Careful?" Just what she needed, to come all this way to find her new boss was a tyrant. "Why?"

"You'll see." Leaving it at at that, he leaned further out and pulled the door closed, leaving Rho to make her way across the baking hot tarmac to the small tin shed they'd almost knocked over. Hearing Andy yell she turned around.

"I'll bring your bags!" Andy grinned when she flushed, making her hot face even redder. He knew she'd just  forgotten it. She didn't strike him as being up herself, just out of her element.

"Thanks again." After returning his wave, she finally made it inside the small shed. It was empty. "Great."

"Miss Mahariel?"

Rho let out a shriek. "Don't sneak!"

"I was standing here when you walked in."

"Oh. Well, I didn't see you in the dark then. Its bright outside." She just knew he was laughing at her.  "Nate?"

"Yes. I'll take you up to the house." Without waiting for her response he walked out into the sun. "Andy. Those her bags?"

"Nate you cheerful bastard! Good to see you too! That bit of alright still in the kitchen?"

Nate sighed and lifted the two bags. "If you mean Kerry, yes, she's still working at the house."

"Good oh. I'll be up in a bit. Better tell her to brace herself."

Nate walked over to the land rover. He'd let Andy find out for himself that Kerry could look after herself. If his luck was in, he'd be around to witness Kerry throwing Andy out the back door the way she had that jackaroo who'd pinched her bum.

. . .

"What's cooking gorgeous?"

"Scones." Kerry looked up from cutting the dough to grin at him. "Want some?"

"In a bit, have to do Vel's leg. She still cranky?" He groaned when she nodded. "Bloody woman's a menace."

"You're not joking. I've had the jackeroo taking her food in. Its not safe."

"I'll need more than scones after that." Andy was greatly encouraged when she batted her eyes. "You got something in your eye or are you flirting with me?"

"Flirting. You come back and we'll have some tea and scones and flirt properly. I'll even lock the door so the boss can't come in."

"You're on mate. Be back in a jiffy."

Kerry laughed when he ran out. A few seconds later she heard him pounding up the stairs. "Watch out Andrew that woman's got poison in her blood." Even he'd have problems charming Vel. Sour faced cow. Hearing the boss coming she concentrated on the scone dough.

"Kerry?"

"Yes Nate?"

"We'll have an extra tonight, as well as the new accountant, the doctor." After she nodded, Nate hesitated. "Tell me if he bothers you."

"He's fine boss. I like him." Giving him a quick glance she grinned. "Okay if I let him share my room?"

He frowned but didn't seem too worried.  "Just be careful."

"Always am." He didn't seem have anything else to say about it. "I've got afternoon tea ready, you want it now?"

"In the dining room."

"Be there in a bit. I just put the kettle on."

"Thanks." Nate thought he should do something to warn her about Andy but if she liked him, it wasn't his business. "Just. Be careful."

"You tell him to be careful." After making sure they were alone, she leaned closer and whispered. "I'm going to marry him. Just have to wait to the right time to tell him."

Andy stopped half way up the stairs. Was that Nate? Laughing? Nah, not possible.

Anders House? I love it.:wub:
I have such a thing for Hugh Laurie, too. Such a thing.

I got the preview of my aimo card. She actually reinterpreted the pose examples I sent her to make it more of a make-out scene, which does fit the characters, I have to admit.

I'm so thrilled with how it turned out. I wish you could see Anders a little better, but it's so amazing overall that I can forget that.

And she really managed to capture Maggie's near pathological level of clinginess and their overall 'animals in heat' tendencies. Which is impressive since I didn't give any notes on their characters, just pictures. :wizard:
