Mum would definitely approve of his looks, but she so would prefer Alistair and always talk about him and compare him with all my other boyfriends. "you know, that lovely Alistair boy..." grrr.

Me: Mom! You're embarassing me in front of my friends...
Mom: No, darling, just the cute one. Now go play with what's-his-face with the flippy hair. Hello, Anders, you look like you're doing well. *wink*
Me: -eyeroll-
@Lupus
I would like to think she would know to be wary of him. I mean hello, apostate. But he is cute and says nice things. Better women have been done in with less.

Anders would be a charming in-between and they would probably bond over cat stories

"So he's in the military?"
"Yeah...let's go with that."
"He has a job! Well, that's fantastic then. Just don't mention that arrested seven times thing to your grandmother, please. She has a bad heart."
See, all you have to do is screw up your life a TON and the smallest things will keep your parents satisfied.

My father would love Nate - he likes the serious type
My step-mother would go for Alistair - she's very religious and he's too cute for words
What they'd say when they found out I was after all four? Who knows - but it would be fun to find out ;-)

Don't get me wrong, I love my mum, but she's a tiny bit self-obsessed
NOT ENOUGH ANDERS PICS ON THIS PAGE! I hope Cave doesn't mind me raiding her DevArt page - I've just discovered she has whole folders of stuff I hadn't seen before:

He does look a little like he's saying "talk to the hand". Mind you, his talk to the hand could involve lightning!

@Miri, wow, 10 years! Wow. We got married when I was 21, btw. So I was more a teenager than you
I love the thoughts about parents and DAO guys XD. I'm sure my mother would've disapproved of them all. Except Teagan, because he's a gentleman and with money XD And maybe Alistair. Because he's cute, polite, witty and charming. And because I can comand him. My father would've killed Anders in a horrible way if I started to date with him. He's a criminal after all (Anders, not my father!)

TEN HOURS and no Anders? Tut tut. More Cave_Fatuam, because she's great:

This is an illustration from ScaryLady's fic Trouble and Strife which I would highly recommend by the way - her Anders is excellent, but the rest of the story is great as well.

No wonder he isn't married yet if the only women he hits on are literally half his age.
And I'll second Miri's rec for Trouble and Strife. I've been enjoying it a good deal.
and I love that pic. But I love how Cave_Fatuam draws him in general. Something about the nose does it for me...
I've actually been swayed from both DA and New Vegas today. To reward myself for a hellish paper completed I got Baldur's Gate from gog.com and I've been nostalgia-gaming. And thinking how much better of a game it would be with an Anders-like character...

Can we still talk about what our parents would think about Anders if we brought him home? I think Alistair would rate a sold "marry him now" from my mother and she'd love Anders but my father would file him under "well, at least it's a man...I think."
They would both love Nathaniel. Maybe too much.

But instead they have to put up with my own version of Anders/Alistair.
By the way, just wondering here. Why do so many stories with Anders have a bath scene?
*thinks about it a tad. Decides she really needs a bath scene with Anders in her NaNoWriMo FF! (Blatant plug)*

My dad would be utterly bewildered by Anders and try to be blokey and fail with Alistair. He'd probably get on with Nathaniel the best to be honest, although I suspect Nathaniel would think he was a bit of an idiot.

The important thing to remember is that, while I'm sure Nathaniel secretly thinks most people are kind of an idiot, he is far too polite to say it.
Nathanial seemed to have no compunction in that regard with my Warden.

I think Teagan becomes a bit creepy in the epilogues where he marries Kaitlyn who is probably 16ish in the game. This is why I always give Tevin the sword back, because it keeps me from thinking about Teagan having a wife *that* young and Tevin is awesome.

My mother would have tried to steal him from me, and more than likely succeeded.
