I would like to think she would know to be wary of him. I mean hello, apostate. But he is cute and says nice things. Better women have been done in with less.

My mother would probably think Alistair was too immature and start throwing me at Nate because he's all 'responsible.' Anders with his 'criminal past' would not meet with her approval at all.

I can see my mom rooting for Alistair right away, mostly due to his 'religious' upbringing as a templar-in-training. There's absolutely no way she would let me date Zevran - probably to the point of chasing the elf off our lawn! I think Nate might be a bit too serious, and she would worry that he was just too quiet.

Anders would be a charming in-between and they would probably bond over cat stories

My mother definitely wouldn't approve. But, she wouldn't be surprised, either. She'd probably be excited to find out he wasn't in a band, though. Or a bartender.

My mother would adore Anders - they could tell each other dirty jokes. She'd also love Zev for the same reason - give her a double entendre and she's happy.
My father would love Nate - he likes the serious type
My step-mother would go for Alistair - she's very religious and he's too cute for words

What they'd say when they found out I was after all four? Who knows - but it would be fun to find out ;-)

See, I can just see Alistair charming the pants of my mum and giving her flowers and stuff. Anders would probably crack jokes with her but then forget her birthday (something my husband did once and has NEVER been forgiven for). So she'd fondly like him but not approve of him because he didn't think she was the most important person in the room.

Don't get me wrong, I love my mum, but she's a tiny bit self-obsessed .

Yay, I've finally got here and read all prompt responses! Poor Namaya. Funny, I guess we all hate her a bit (I don't like her because she looks like and talks like she'a a heavy smoker and has a larynx cancer), but all stories and arts are so nice to her.

I love the thoughts about parents and DAO guys XD. I'm sure my mother would've disapproved of them all. Except Teagan, because he's a gentleman and with money XD And maybe Alistair. Because he's cute, polite, witty and charming. And because I can comand him. My father would've killed Anders in a horrible way if I started to date with him. He's a criminal after all (Anders, not my father!)

Oh, what's NOT to like about Teagan? Well, besides his age, of course. And the fact he's related to Eamon so he and Isolde would be my in-laws.

I've always found that kind of... strange. Teagan's at least 40 (since he was 8 during the battle of West Hill, and that was a few years before the occupation ended, and the game is 30 years after the occupation), and the warden is somewhere in the ballpark of 20, give or take a couple years.

No wonder he isn't married yet if the only women he hits on are literally half his age.

And I'll second Miri's rec for Trouble and Strife.  I've been enjoying it a good deal. 
and I love that pic.  But I love how Cave_Fatuam draws him in general.  Something about the nose does it for me...

I've actually been swayed from both DA and New Vegas today.  To reward myself for a hellish paper completed I got Baldur's Gate from gog.com and I've been nostalgia-gaming.  And thinking how much better of a game it would be with an Anders-like character...

I think Teagan becomes a bit creepy in the epilogues where he marries Kaitlyn who is probably 16ish in the game. This is why I always give Tevin the sword back, because it keeps me from thinking about Teagan having a wife *that* young and Tevin is awesome.

Can we still talk about what our parents would think about Anders if we brought him home? I think Alistair would rate a sold "marry him now" from my mother and she'd love Anders but my father would file him under "well, at least it's a man...I think." 
They would both love Nathaniel. Maybe too much.

Oddly enough, I think my Mother would have preferred me to be with Lelianna. It would have delighted my Father too, no doubt.
But instead they have to put up with my own version of Anders/Alistair.
By the way, just wondering here. Why do so many stories with Anders have a bath scene?
*thinks about it a tad. Decides she really needs a bath scene with Anders in her NaNoWriMo FF! (Blatant plug)*

My dad would be utterly bewildered by Anders and try to be blokey and fail with Alistair. He'd probably get on with Nathaniel the best to be honest, although I suspect Nathaniel would think he was a bit of an idiot.

Nathanial seemed to have no compunction in that regard with my Warden.

Nate's not a gentleman - he's a nobleman.  So, he probably doesn't think too much about whether lesser people are idiots, he just assumes they are   But he's definitely too polite to point it out to them.

He seems to take 'noblesse oblige' quite seriously.
