I love all the stories. Avilia's little commander made me giggle with her therapy )))) Sarah's makes me want to hug Anders, poor guy. And Cave's story was sad :( I hope Anders won't leave. At least not for long. He'll go to help Hawke and then will be back again :)

Edit for fun:

Gala, I love that!

I'd so take up knitting again if I had Anders in my knitting circle. :D

Finishing both my prompt and AOA chapter.

Prompt will be slightly smutty. AOA will be angsty whinging. Followed by people yelling at me.

I'm glad you like my doodles :)

I couldn't stop thinking about knitting Anders for... half of a year? Wow. Now I'm free of this demon! :)
I have also a funny dialogue with old Greg about the scarf in my head, but it's a spoiler for Obsession and some people here follow the comic. Maybe I'll put it into the epilogue :)

and... ffnet is down. and then up. and then down. Of course.

Well, the AOA update is on peopleofthedas, too, should anyone not be able to see it on ffnet.

@Lupus: I did yell, but in relief rather than anything else. GREAT chapter. Detailed review on ff.net. Anders WAS an arse. I've kind of glossed over his womanising ways but you forget how easy it is for someone like that to hurt people, even if they're not intending to.

Celebratory sexy Anders:

Glad it worked. When I asked here if anyone thought he could ever go there (which was ages ago, before they even went to orlais in aoa, so that's how long this has been in my head) and everyone basically said "nope. never." I was a bit worried.

I think I said he would if it meant saving Maggie... can't remember if I actually said it but I was definitely thinking it.

@Miri: I think you might have, now that you mention it. It was definitely a minority opinion, though.
But I made Anders into a much darker character than most people do, I think.  Which is probably me.  I like my leading men a bit... less than noble.  (I mean, the other DA guys I would write about are Loghain, Jowan, and Daveth, which really says it all.)

Is that warden commander armor in your icon? Alim went arcane warrior, I take it?

(and if you haven't seen peopleofthedas since last night, scary lady pimped one of your fics in a recommendation thread on the main page. figured you'd want to know.)

@Sarah: I am not very good at being subtle. I admit it.

You were mentioned in the peopleofthedas thread, too, FYI.

I wub her. I'm debating what to put in that thread myself, because I read so much and there are things I read AGES ago that I still love so it's really, really hard for me to pin down five that I love the best. I shall pimp soon though.

Yes, Alim went Arcane Warrior - although he isn't really in my fics, but to be honest I find the mage specialisations in DA:O pretty darn useless. Alim in my fics is actually a spirit healer - he's maxed out the spirit tree as well. (He went healer because of his crush on Anders, btw!) I'm making him a blood mage as well since he's not quite so morally rigid as Neria, but that won't be until Awakenings because he's got his two specialisations for Origins. Also it will be a major plot line in his Awakenings fic, which I'm intending to start when Fractures finishes unless this darn Oghren fic takes over my brain the way it is threatening to.

And to be honest, even though I put my Anders on a pedestal, HE would go blood mage if he was ever put in a situation where it meant saving his friends. I think Anders is more morally flexible than most even in his best state - despite his "goodness". The main reason he's not going blood mage in my fic is because he's so kick arse already and he hasn't had to.

I'm wondering if I could get away with putting down three authors instead of three fics.

And I'm really looking forward to that fic.  As much as I hate the thought of Fractures ending...

@Lupus: which one? The Awakenings one or the Oghren one? Because I might put it to the vote like I did with Fractures. And of course, the Fion/Duncan fic which was GOING to be the fic I wrote after Fractures has again been put on the backburner! Not even in for the running any more, even though I've done a rough outline.

Edited to add: Jack Black ROCKS on Yo Gabba Gabba. Sometimes kids TV is the bomb.

It's not a matter of subtlety so much as 'What do I think Anders might never do that I vaguely remember coming up awhile back?' A

nd 'Breaking Up With A Guy You're Not Even Dating', huh? Otherwise known as 'that one-shot where somebody yelled at me for being mean to Alistair because they honestly thought my only reason for sparing Loghain was to dump him.' It was 'cruel' because 'Alistair is just too sweet a guy to be betrayed like this.' Posted Image

A big chunk of the Alistair fangirls make even a hardcore Anders fangirl like me look sane. I wouldn't worry about it.

If someone was annoyed enough to complain as though your character was real, well, I'd take that as a screwed up compliment of sorts. ;)

And miri- the awakenings one, I think, just because I'm so curious to see more of alim.

@ Lupus: I'm trying to get to Awakenings with Alim at the moment so I can play at the same time as write this time - I've made a few mistakes in Fractures because I don't have the toolset and I've missed out on details that I don't have a save for. Also, I'm kind of in love with Alim too, so I'm pretty sure that will be first. It's funny because when I wrote Caged Alim was just in the background because I wanted to explore the Cousland/Alistair thing, but now I couldn't care less about those two! (A bit like how Miranda and Alistair are totally in the background to Anders and Neria now in the Fractures universe).

I might have to write both at once. Although this time I might even be able to get away with NOT posting both at once. It would be good to have a text buffer going on and be able to post on a regular schedule. Also, I'm curious to see how my writing will stand up to my own critical eye if it's not published - I wonder if I'll be unable to resist the urge to continually tinker :).

I never can resist that rewrite urge. I'm editing even on the ffnet document screen. It's all I can do not to reopen old chapters and fix things.

My prompt response is done but I'm not sure if it's too M rated to post here... rereading to see if I can edit it down to a high T

Yeah, that's what I'll do, I was getting too annoyed.
Prompt fill: Distraction
I have to link to my dreamwidth account since ffnet is down... again. (show of hands, who is shocked?)

FFnet version is up now Distraction
Who knows if the site will keep working.  But if you prefer a black and white plain text sorta thing over my whole absinthe colored art deco emo journal page, there you go. ;)

Seriously. It's like break or don't, but pick one. This nonsense is driving me nuts since it keeps cutting out when I'm trying to reply to a review or, in this case, upload something.
