*hugs Surely* hello by the way! We miss you!
Oh, and is that your Shepard? She's foxy!

Thanks! I miss you guys (and Anders!) I played Awakening for 5 seconds last night and triggered a Velanna/Anders convo. Just his voice made me squee a little.

And yeah, that's my Shepard. She's awesome. Sidenote: I hate that you have to mod Mass Effect to be able to take decent action shots. Origins has spoiled me.

I've got lots of new screenshots.  I swear, if I drop dead and someone goes through the files on my computer to see all the video game porn pics, my reputation will be utterly destroyed.

I just downloaded that tavern mod. Since I'm a perv.
And I had to drag Anderstair there first thing.

I've also decided I love him in the Witcher mod armor. (Maggie's wearing the Underworld armor with the optional retexture mod. Which is shockingly close to how her in-fic archdemon armor is supposed to look. So I had to get it.)

I love that armour. Both sets. Honestly if I had more gaming time I'd do nothing but muck around with mods. But I feel too guilty. As it is I've just sent my jetlagged, fluey husband out with the two year old so I can put my feet up with a cup of tea for a few minutes while the baby sleeps.

(I'm almost certainly going to nick upstairs and try to finish a few sidequests though).

heh. I'm almost done with my page 200 fic already.
Shame i can't get motivated like that for all my writing projects...
(we're not sticking to the one-hour thing for this, right?  I don't think I can have it here and not continuously edit between now and then)

@Miri - I loved your prompt response story. And cuz I am evil and rude (I did not ask - which I know I should have) I put it through IWL.ME and it said you write like "J. D. Salinger" - which is my all time favorite author. I hope you are not too angry with me... but how that is so cool!!!

@ Wedger Oh. My. God. I better go and buy a house somewhere and isolate myself for the rest of my life. Oh, and never write again :).

Seriously, how hilarious! The last lot of fiction I put through there told me I wrote like J.K. Rowling or Dan Brown. Looks like I'm improving!

@Lupus It's not an official prompt so I figure don't worry. Also, I don't think the 1 hour thing is hard and fast for the other prompts either. I have no way of timing mine because they're always done in five minute bursts and I don't always bother to count how many bursts I've done for any given fic. So... if you want to limit yourself to one hour do it, but otherwise....

I am, apparently , inconsistent,

Gertrude Stein, Dan Brown, James Fenmore Cooper, Anne Rice.

That's just the last four chapters of AOA.

See, the last four chapters of AOA have been dealing with pretty different issues. I mean, your last chapter was kind of melancholy and poignant, whereas the previous one was more jolly. I think that site does tend to go on subject matter as well as style. If you wrote a whole paragraph of "dull dull dull dull dull dull dull" it would probably come up as James Fenmore Cooper (sorry I HATE that guy).

Edited to add: ROFLMAO I just tried it with my Alistair/Anders smut prompt fill and it told me I wrote like James Joyce. Perhaps in his correspondence....

Edited to add even MORE: I just went through all of my Anders prompts one by one. Now, granted I actually use one-shots as a way to explore different writing styles, but surely there are SOME consistencies? I got a different author for every single one...

OMG. I once had a long discussion on the, um... private letters of James Joyce... with a priest.

Strangest thing EVER.

And hey, at least you're not getting a different author per chapter in one supposedly-cohesive story like I am. ;)

lol, it says I write like J.K. Rowling. Is she as bad as I am or she's the worst sample the program has? )))

And some Anders from dA:

I think it must analyse things like sentence length and word length perhaps?

Apparently I write like Cory Doctorow...lol

Any time I use the word spell or magic often I get J.K. Rowling. The f-word pops up a lot? Chuck Palahniuk... 'cause ya know the first rule of the Grey Wardens is you don't talk about the Grey Wardens. XD
My favorite though is my West, Young Warden! outline file got Jane Austen... "It's a truth universally acknowledge that a single bounty hunter in possession of a good gun must be in want of a hot naive priest, ya'll."

Cute lil Anders for no reason whatsoever...

Aww, Cave, he's smirking and casting. How cute! :)

Oh, and I've read all the prompt responses. Our thread is glorious! More glorious than any Cailan thread would ever be! Yay :D

Offtop, but we're in the Deep Roads with Rhiamon and her team of pigeon-haters, and I think I've found the place where young Duncan was emoing in "The Calling" after his awesome dragon-ride.

I remember there were a river and a lot of deep-stalkers.

I know the bit you mean, I had the same thought.
Probably one of the few pretty parts of the deep roads

And animated Anders is hypnotizing me...

I've found a lot of pretty places down there. I want to bring Anders there to show him that there's nothing to fear of. Except the army of the darkspawn, spiders, deep-stalkers and little flesh golems aka harvesters :) Being claustrophobic in such environment is kinda childish. That's what Rhiamon would've told him, I guess. :)

Ah, I remember that part of Caridan's Cross, always thought it was pretty, shame it was so underused with just a bunch of Deep Stalker waves. :/

For some odd reason I keep thinking Animated Anders just needs a wink. :P

That's the thing about phobias, they're completely irrational. I have a friend who has a phobia of dolls. He's 6'3", probably close to 250 pounds, and is reduced to a shaking, terrified mess by half a pound of inanimate porcelain and fake hair. He knows how silly it is, he knows there's nothing they could ever do to him, but that won't turn the automatic fear response off in his mind.

That is ridiculously pretty. We have caves around here that are like that. It's all scary black rock and creepy crawlies, then BAM! Nature's wonder. :D

@Lupus
He's like hypnotoad from Futurama. You can't look away.

I have a severe phobia of frogs, but only in person. I can see them on tv and even think animated/plush frogs are cute... but if a real one is within ten feet of me and I can see it I shut down like a big ol' wuss. They won't hurt me, and I could squish them if they could, but... -shudder-

So even though I already did a GW Anders prompt for page 200, you just gave me an idea for an other one. Posted Image

In other news...why isn't it page 200 yet?!?! This is going to be a long two weeks or so.

So, random question: It's pretty accepted that mages are some of the most educated people around, right? Why in the world does the Chantry bother to educate them?
