@Lupus: Oh, that was so much fun. I love that the recruits first thought that they had hurt Anders' feelings and then realized that their very lives were in danger. The whole not recruiting Jory/Mhairi types really is a sound policy, I think. I'm actually a little surprised that Alistair made it throughthe Joining, actually given he used to be a bit heavy on the 'it's an honor!' thing.
Anders: he didn't do it, but HE WILL! (DAO spoilers, may contain DAII spoiles)

I don't think the word 'atheist' exists in the Aramaic language. Or that Jesus was big on, well, punishing anyone.
Has your brother ever actually read a bible? I gave all that up years ago and even I know he's pretty far off!
@Avilia: well, Anders is the 'sane' one of the pair. He probably would stop and think it through enough to realize it was a bad idea. She wouldn't.
@Miri: Thanks! When you put it that way it does sound a bit odd.
@Sarah: Thank you! I suspect to people who aren't used to mages a guy in a dress that fights with a branch isn't really scary until you step back to think about it.

OMG, officially hate Thanksgiving. My brother told me "Jesus said 'punish the atheist'" right before kicking me a few times and I think he might have meant it.
And this is why I avoid my extended family at all costs. Only it's not younger siblings doing this crap, it's my aunts and uncles.
My boyfriend has to go in to work tonight, which means he's sleeping all afternoon, which means that I have to be responsible and not drive home and get trashed with my parents and siblings, lest this one get the idea that we've abandoned him and runs off to find another family willing to share bits of pie crust with him.
Instead, I'm working on the page 200 prompt, which has mutated into an ubershort that references several of the prompts I've missed since Madame Muse decided she hated me and I discovered that Mass Effect is pretty awesome (we'll pretend it happened in that order). It's mindless and indulgent, so I'll probably just link to it and post a kick ass Anders screenshot when the time comes.

My brother is eleven so I kind of doubt it. He suffers from being surrounded by people who are all older than him and never treat him his age so he's always been a little off.

Younger siblings are like that sometimes.
Like when my sister stomped on our PS1 and was excused because she had lost for the fifth time in a row when playing Need for Speed.
Youngest siblings are the terrors of any family.

Oh god, eleven. I swear, middle school aged kids are the scourge of the earth. You want to see the worst cruelty the average run of the mill human is capable of? Go to any random middle school or junior high and it will all be on display.
Also, after thinking... Alistair is big on honor, but less unrealistic. There's that second conversation with him on the Wardens you can have before returning to duncan. If you ask if their heroes he gets really uncomfortable and mentions how they do whatever it takes, saying "that means some pretty extreme things."

You know, if I even thought about putting shoes on my cat I think she'd remove a layer of my skin. Seriously, just trimming her claws leaves me down a pint of blood.
Also, I just remembered I have a copy of CorelDraw x4. I never installed it on my last computer since my processor would have just looked at me and laughed, but my new computer can run it. This makes me very happy.

Pet Owners are often crazy when it comes to their pets.
Especially cat owners.

You know, I don't really think "don't dress up my pet" falls under crazy. Usually the opposite.

Lupus: Awesome bit there. On the plus side, they get a lot of recuits with 'that book', down side is they have to try and refraine from killing them before the Joining.
*wonders if the two deaths were the 'Maggie appriciators'.*

Yes, the problem with the book getting recruits is it means they're likely to be a tad on the sex-crazy side which won't help the order's apparent reputation as being a bunch of sexual deviants.

Still a better reputation as a "haven for criminals and maleficar." If less accurate.
And if that was their only reason for joining odds are they wouldn't have the skills anyways.
(Since the Wardens? TOTALLY a haven for criminals and maleficar.)
(also. Less than 10 posts away from page 200.)

So I have Corel painter, which is the most absurd piece of software. I made this.

It seriously required me to hit one button after selecting the brush style, colors, and canvas. Woo! Art!! (not really art)
