@cave please yes!! I need some happy vibes here. There,s a SERIOUS bout of man-flu going on in this house.
@Gala really sorry to hear about your friend. I'm glad she's taking it well though.

TOP AGAIN? I must be cursed. Or blessed. Here, have some Neria and Anders:

I am having far too much fun with this.

Gala and Sarah: Thank you :D
Cave: I think most people assume they're normal. You need someone outside their head to see how screwed up they really are. Hence: Anders meets Maggie, Anders fears for his future as a Grey Warden under the command of a lunatic.
And Oghren has to reassure him, since he thought she was nuts, too.

And here I half expected Anders to ask with a smirk why Maggie was leaving a secluded room with a another mage.

Lovely piece though. :D

If it was a guy he probably would have.

Thank you! It was fun to write, trying to figure out Neria if she hadn't helped Jowan and been ostracized for it.

I'm still working through it myself. Keep running into the wall that Maggie's Fereldan has more or less become what I think of by default outside of my own Wardens. :o

Avilia: I wouldn't have thought Anders would have been that sentimental about the broodmother.

I think Avilia took it from the game. After killing the Mother, Anders was staring at her corpse for some time untill the commander gave him a sign to follow them. I always wondered why.

@Gala Yes, and he looks grim and sad when they leave, which is kind of uncharacteristic for him (unless he's talking about the chantry!)

(and Marina is so showing off her "womanly splendor" to Anders in those robes!)

I only ever take Sigrun, Justice, and Velanna with me because they react badly to being left at the Keep.

That's the only way to get them to survive? Does Sigrun get killed in the battle as well? I always bring her with me so I didn't know.

I figure Justice would rather be back in the fade and Velanna's just... annoying, so I don't bother taking them with me.

@Miri: Hate to say, but Justice and Velanna always stay behind in my games, too, for the very same reasons.

Plus, I like playing mages, and a three mage party is just absurd. (Anders as a party member goes without saying!) Although the final fights with a two mage two rogue party was pretty tough on the game I brought Anders, Sigrun, and Nate. (especially since I left him as an archer)

@Liliandra: That's like one of the best compliments ever! Thanks so much! *blush*

@Miri, lol, I've just realized that these screenshots are full of boobs :)
And, yeah, Marina has her secret weapon ))) She's lucky King Maric is dead.

I know that, because of glitchiness, it's hard to complete Velanna and Sigrun's personal quests and that makes them more likely to die or disappear if you leave them at the Vigil while you save Amaranthine. Despite the fact that I sorta like Velanna, I don't mind if she disappears at endgame. Sigrun, though, stays with my Warden no matter what, even if her personal quest is completed. If I don't extensively respec Nate, Justice or Oghren, Sigrun is the only other member of Team Punisher that Brand has in Awakening. To leave her behind would just be wrong.

I've actually used the console to trigger both of them. There has to be something wrong with how Velanna is coded, I've had so many games where I just NEVER get the random encounter, even traveling back and forth all over the map just trying to trigger it.

Sorry for the absentness. Thanks for the kind comments - yes Gala you're right - I did get the idea from the end cutscene. Anders looks very stern and thoughtful so I used that a bit and decided he'd feel sorry for the Mother.

After the patch my glitches had disappeared, yay. Now Sig is with me. I take Velana to fight the Mother because I like that creepy dialogue with her sister, where she tells that Architect is "kind and tender", ewwww. And I can tell Velanna: "See, you sister is a crazy ghoul! Kill, kill, kill!" :)

Ah, I hope I will have time to play Awakening again someday, because I want to be sure that leaving Anders to defend Vigil keeps Varel alive.

I can't leave the Vigil without my boys (Nate and Anders) which only leaves me one spot. That has Sigrun's name all over it.

Well, Sigrun's ending slide doesn't specifically say she died, just that she didn't run away this time. The other two... yeah, pretty cut and dry. Though Velanna's 'ending' annoys me to no end. I just picture that she 'forest ported' but was knocked out and had to walk back from the Wending Woods. After all, she was in 'love' with the Commander every time.

Ooh, yes! Both fics have enraged Anders coming up - it's way too much fun! And I've been creating all sorts of Anders enraged scenarios for my Awakenings fic. Basically Alim enrages him. He was created specifically to enrage Anders. It's sooo much fun.

Sorry for the delay on this all :)

@Miri - haha - love the contrast between Nate and Anders. Anders' first thought being how to impress the pretty girl and Nate's obviously more practical.

@Cave - sign me up! That poster would certainly recruit me. The story about the bust was lovely, really sweet.

@Sarah - firstly - nice Avatar! Gorim looks very huggable. Two stories - you were very productive. Story 1 - Anders and Cailan - I love how Cailan makes Anders seem like 'Mr serious'. "The hot mage and her less hot mother" - lol. Story 2 - Yay for getting at Wynne. If I didn't want to already that story would make me want to hug Anders.

@Lupus - I loved seeing Anders view of those events. "The kind of friends who saw each other naked" why does that make me chuckle ;-)

@Surely - that facebook chat thing is hilarious. I love Alistair's little interjection.

@Lupus - hehe Neria's thoughts about Anders - much fun.

@Cave Gorgeous (jealousy prompt)

-----------------

@Lupus - Thanks :) I had to go there. Once I decided what to base my little prompt on I couldn't get my mind off the Calling for the last part. Definitely Anders would face it with humour imho.

@Gala - thanks :) Nate and Anders being friends was my theme a bit. I'm glad you liked that part.

@Sarah - Not sentimental so much as compassionate. To me that's a big part of his character. I also think there might have been an element of 'there but for the grace of the Maker (and the fact that he's male)' in his reactions.

@Cave - thanks :) - he'd definitely be silly I think.

Sorry for the novel there - I didn't want to miss thanking anyone or commenting! (If I did I'm sorry).

We made 200 a great event! I wonder what we'll get up to for 300? ;-)

Yes, yes he does. And then he threatens to throw people from windows.

Anders is not having a good day in AOA land.

His is going better than some other people's, though.

Cannot WAIT for this next plot line to happen. *hopping from foot to foot*.

In interesting news, I have found all my old writings in a box we were clearing out of our front room. Bejeezus, 'tis embarrassing. I'm going to spend a long, long time with a flatbed scanner and scan them all then put them in a corner of my hard drive never to be looked at again.

Do you know I wrote a novel about space vikings when I was thirteen? It's just as bad as it sounds.

Okay, have some treacly sweet happy Anders and little Samahla to counter-balance growly!Anders.
The best thing is both pictures were drawn only days apart if I remember correctly. So, you can tell I'm completely insane and made scary_lady's Anders not look like my Anders. Cuckoo bananas.

Also, Anders as drawn by Sam, just in case you have any teeth left in your head.

Almost accidentally I've checked Greg Ellis' facebook page, and it looks like he's back from the sea. I hope he will do some voice acting for DA2, we were promised DA and Awakening characters as cameo after all! He also uploaded a video where he's singing on the stage. Cool.
