I take a lot of pleasure in reading what other people have said about fics I like. I always read the other reviews for AOA and Undertow and Trouble and Strife (which are the three big fics on FF.net I'm following at present). It's interesting to see what other people like about them.

ETA as per usual I get TOP when I'm on my phone and can't post pics. So belatedly:

And since you got top of page again I'll post some Anders eyecandy.

Speaking of, I just got previews from Cave for my b&w stuff and they are FANTASTIC!

And hey, why not some wet!Anders since it is such a well-loved variation.

Great news, now I just need to find a link to all hidden reviews :)

On ffnet? On any page within the story it would be in the line under the author's name, at the very top. It'll say reviews about halfway down the line with all the details on rating and publish date and so on, and the number next to it is a link.

On the list of all fics, or an author's page, it should say reviews in orange on the far right of the same line as the title- that'll be a link to the review page as well.

Thanks! I'll check when I'm at home. Need more funny stuff anyway, my own comic makes me sad. And I need to stop reading novels where people die too much.

I was a total emo today, so here's my redemption:

If Anders was in Origins, he would've charmed even the Archdemon :wizard:

Brilliant!

If only DA2 was about the Wardens working with the Archdemon. It could be like ME2! Everyone would be all "WTF, I thought we hated the Archdemon?" and Anders would wave away their concerns with a "Don't worry, the Archdemon sounds like Martin Sheen and really likes me. It's cool." And the whole time Alistair is whining about how he slept with Morrigan for no reason (and Morrigan is pissed because she slept with Alistair for no reason and now she has a baby that's just a baby and not all fantastical and OGB). It would be fun.

Clearly I needed a reprieve, too.

@Lupus, thanks! I guess being emo is not bad sometimes. But I must do a pregnancy test just in case, I'm scared of myself.

@Surely, bwahahaha, epic! And Alistair as an honest man must marry Morrigan, and then Flemeth will come and say: "Surprize! I fooled you all just because I wanted cute grandchildren, and my daughter has problems with men!"

Oh, hell, I just had an image of Morrigan with a baby on her hip screeching at Alistair to get the washing up done or she'll cone of cold his genitals, then going inside and sobbing into a tea-towel because her life is ruined...

And @Gala - his expression is just fifty types of adorable. I love it.

@Gala that's sooo cute! I think you are right - its the real reason Anders isn't in Origins. He make the whole plot obsolete!

Hee! I'd read a comic book about Flemeth and her matchmaking schemes.

"Tis most tiring, mother. Every time I end a relationship, you threaten Thedas with another apocalypse. Eventually we are going to run out of heroes to stop them."

Of course the baby will be a mini-Alistair in all ways, just to compound her misery. Meanwhile, Anders will be off living the good life with the Archdemon under his thumb and the Warden at his side.

Ha! SO cute Gala :) I saw it up on DA earlier, and it made my day. Can you imagine Anders teaching the archdemon tricks?

"Roll over! Who's a good little bringer of worldly destruction?"

Anders: Should I train you to become a vicious attack...what?
All of Thedas: *cowers*
Warden: *shakes head*
Anders: On our own time, then. rawr

I went to school and the thread died!  I love hiking to the subway and then hiking from the station to campus through a foot of snow... while it's still snowing, just to take an exam I bang out in twenty minutes. I couldn't do this thing as a take-home?

One of our artists should totally draw Anders in the snow, though. Since Ferelden is cold!

Also, my philosophy exam? Aced that mofo. Had to write an essay on Heidigger's Dasin and McTaggert's theory on the unreality of time. And by "essay" I mean one handwritten page for each. His standards? In the subbasement. Apparently with good reason, though, since after our first paper we got a one hour lecture on basic grammar.

Edit to add Anders in a cold weather coat

You know what else is sad? In two of my classes (the only two I've had any essays in) my teachers let us do the test essays at home. And my history teacher is forever pushing back regular essay dates as people send her rough drafts and they fail so very badly. Hell, my next essay is due Wednesday and as of Friday I was the only one in the class who had even gotten the document we needed to do the essay from her. To get an idea of how long ago I actually did it, that was the essay I was doing before I started reading 'Never Boring.' Posted Image

@Sarah: That is insane. I usually get paper assignments maybe a week before they're due. Two if I'm lucky.

@Miri: My cousin got a baby sling for just that reason. (Well, that and something about attachment parenting. She went on about that for an hour while I nodded blankly. I know so little about children she might as well have lapsed into speaking Portuguese at that point, though.  So I couldn't explain it at gunpoint.)
(and by got I mean 'begged me to sew her one')

And I just realized between finals and flying out to visit my family for xmas I won't be able to make fruitcake this year. That gives me a sad. (seriously, my fruitcake is awesome. People mock, but that's some good stuff. And I put so much bourbon in it that after a slice or two everyone's too tipsy to remember they supposedly don't like fruitcake.)

@Lupus I have a sling, but he's big on being carried around in it rather than lying happily in it while I do things I'd like to do. He's perfectly happy in the sling if I'm doing something like, say HOUSEWORK, because I'm moving about. Just not so happy if I'm playing or writing. I swear they have a sixth sense about whether or not you're enjoying yourself.

My husband and I are followers of the "benign neglect" method of parenting.
