@Surely PET PILE! I have kid piles on mine during weather like that. Lots of fun. And thanks - Joscelyn and Felix are fun to write.

@Gala I hope all your tests are nearly finished! They're really putting you through the wringer :).

The TOP passed me by without me noticing:

@Gala Ninja rubella - I have a mental picture of a germ wearing a mask, sneaking around attacking people. Yah! Take that white blood cell! *back flip jump onto a passing red blood cell to escape*

*cough* sorry, I'm alright now. Glad to hear the tests are going well :)

@Surely, aw, pets will help you, no doubt. I heard stories about feline secret healing powers and that was before Ser Pounce-a-lot.  I hope you will feel better soon *hugs* I hate bronchitis.

@Miri, tests are almost over. Well, they are over actually, I will have another creepy procedure this week. After that I'll be able to wear a tattoo: "I was kidnapped by Avernus and survived" :D

@Avilia, yeah, something like that. Nobody knew it was there

All these prompts have been so sweet! Serious cute-overload.
I was out all weekend for my birthday and it was excellent to come back and catch up on all the awesome :)

@Miri: So sweet - you write his parents so beautifully!
@*edit*Sarah: HA! That makes me like Namaya a good bit more - (knowing that Anders will soon find out its a practical joke). (sorry about the mistake)
@Cave: Samahla is so cute, I can't draw children further than I could throw them. Adorable :)

I am still in prompt-explode mode, but am hoping to have some time after work to finish it. Was planning on finishing it this weekend - but too much wine was involved.

I really feel like I need to do a second fill for this one, since my first brought the SOUL CRUSHING MISERY, evidently. ;) (two finals done!)

@Lupus How many left? And Soul Crushing Misery is ok sometimes, as you know. I do think your Anders is more child-seeky than mine - possibly one of the reasons why he was so attracted to Maggie :). Neria and Anders aren't keen. I actually think Neria is a bit scared of children. A bit like I used to be before I had them - little children any way. Teenagers are EASY. Four year olds are strange and rude and kind of nasty. It's cute when they're yours, but not so much when they're other peoples'.

Four more to go. *sigh*
Well, three and a paper. Working on the paper now.

Well, that and playing Dragon age for what may be my Jowan-recruiting au fic character...  Since I'm really thinking I want to write about him next.

@Estral - Thanks. :D

I love little kids. They have an entire social structure built on schadenfreude and logic that circumvents ideas of which they have no concept. They're interesting little buggers. Plus, they usually know where candy is.

@Lupus - Gah, finals are a pain in the hindquarters. Good luck with the last four though. ^_^

Interesting, yes. But I never knew quite what to do with them. Like Granny Weatherwax in discworld. They get confused by me because I talk to them as if they're adults.

Anyone else think the devouring skellys are going “NomNomNom” when they attack?

Don’t mind me – long day at work

Children I know like me because I talk to them like we're equal. And it saves me from being called "auntie" =] But I like kids from 2 to 6 years old, when they are older, they are annoying and when they are younger, I don't know what to do with them.

Oh, and a little Anders:

lol, I've been at my friend's birthday last weekend and her 2-year old son pressed another 2 year old girl against the wall and started to kiss her face. It was equally funny, adorable and disturbing. Especially to me after reading that Freud book about phobias of 5 year old kid.

@Gala - I want to pinch his little cheeks! So cute!
I always just talk to children like I would anyone else. They're just tiny. I think they understand more than they let on. You just have to give them a minute.

@Wedger - Tee hee I will now! They always make me think of the Jason and the Argonauts movie.

General - My Secret Swooper of course wanted Zevran more than Anders XD Anybody wanna comment on this-->Zev/Surana/

Ooh, I haven't seen much Zev from you Cave - he's gorgeous. Love it.

My daughter is going through the stage where she's starting to realise things don't go her way all the time and even CRYING doesn't help. She asks to do something and when we say no she screws up her face and yells. She's not actually upset, just trying to get her way. It's interspersed with absolutely adorable stories about what she does with her toys and fantasies about flying and stuff, but the manipulation gets a little bit old after a while.

I like kids from about 8 months to 2 years, then from about six onwards. That stage from 3 to 5 is all about pushing boundaries and getting you to do what they want. The world absolutely revolves around them and it's tough trying to get them to understand that it doesn't without crushing their little spirits. I don't want to crush her spirit, but I wish she'd do as she's told sometimes :).

@Gala He's ADORABLE. The smirk was the FIRST thing he learnt in his tool kit of "how to get adults to do what I want".

@Cave: That's fantastic. He looks so blissful... but she's at an angle where she can't really see his face, so he can avoid admitting to Feelings and So On. So perfect.

A friend of mine is writing an Anders inspired FanFic here. She is an excellent writer and captures him quite nicely. I will caution that it's erotica but utterly tastefully and delightfully done. She can't remember her password so I am her messenger. Enjoy for your reading pleasure!!

It's a shame how long it took me to make him not to look like a gremlin )))

@Cave, I like that Zev picture, especially Miss Surana.
