I've only had a little bit of time to play with it (OMG if I could unload all Christmas stress in writing it would take two days and about sixty posts) but yes it's really good. Although it was weird because I loaded up my Aedan playthrough (FINALLY FINISHED THE FADE) and there was Anders hanging around in crappy chainmail back at camp when I finished the Tower. I can just imagine Aedan doing a double take - "Hang on, weren't you a whiny royal bastard when we left you here? Turning into a mage and putting in an earring isn't going to make me like you!"

TOP!

I truly love this one.

The look in his eyes is so perfect.

I'm still working on this drawing since they don't seem to feel like talking to me and the next chapter of AOA is, well, not a happy place. And I'd like to be in a happy place.

@Lupus, when I was dyeing my hair with henna, I used a lot of layers of plastic film, it saved my flat from being dyed as well :) Sadly, it didn't help henna to do anything with my hair, I believe they have the immunity to everything. And they are not even black!

@Sarah, I love it! I love how Anders called himself Maric and Morrigan's reaction.  And I love how Mori was nice and helpful. Some people think she's complete and utter *****, but I always had the impression that she didn't like her mother's lifestyle too much. Now I really want to finish my Ray "Culders" Amell playthrough with happy ending with Morrigan and their cute little demon baby. =]

Why do you like Anders?

Do you wish they had done more with him (besides romance)?

@Cave Yay! I love that the OGB is soooo obviously his - too cute, and Morrigan is hilarious. Gorgeous.

Also, I actually quite like that they didn't try to ram complicated backstories down our throats in Awakenings. Hinting was enough. It's nice to leave some things to the imagination.

True! I sometimes wonder how much of my Anders is actually based on the game and how much is just from my own head, though...  Especially since over the last few months one of the major characters in my original fic is slowly taking on a lot of his personality...

I think Awakening spoiled me. Rhia and I have just crawled out of Orzammar and went to our camp to hug the dog and have some sleep with cool nightmares about broodmothers... And then we saw the camp full of people who wanted to talk.  :?
Rhia: Maker's ass! I want to sleep (now which tent was mine? I forgot )
Me:  But wait! You must talk to Oghren to gain some approval or he won't tell you about Felsi and you won't get his loyalty quest!
Rhia: I said I want to sleep!
Me: Aww, look, Alistair's going to give you a rose! Go talk to him!
Rhia: I'm tired, leave me alone!
Me: Hey, and Shale wants to give you a quest!
Rhia: I should've sided with Branka <_<
Me: And Wynne has a story about griffins for you!
Rhia: Aaaaaarrrrrg, I want to go to Awakening NOW!!!!!! *sob* Why can't I have men who don't bother me after I've been killing darkspawn for weeks!!! :crying: And I want to do funny pigtails for Anders.

Also, to stay on-topic and because Fabriel made me squee in 10.20 p.m. after my husband went to sleep:

@Gala Oh I KNOW isn't it FANTASTIC! Anders and water go so well together!

And yes, it's hard work trolling through all the camp conversations when all I want to do is get my character to the Vigil ;).

Oo Oo! I love your tango Gala!

Our guests just left for the weekend, so I have my computer back. Oh the excitement :)

@Sarah: That was great :) I don't even want to think of what Flemeth might do to Anders... but most of me thinks that Anders would be able to evade anything unsavory if he wished.

@Cave: I love your little old god, super cute :)

@Lupus: I love watching the progress of that picture, your skintones are starting off really nice.

Thanks, all!

Okay, so maybe saying I'd comment in the morning was a bit optimistic, but here I am now. All caught up! XD

@Avilia, The old switcheroo, eh? ;D

@Miri, Anders being proud of Neria is just too wonderful. And Oghren is pretty wondrous himself.

@Estral, My cat does that and it grosses me out to no end. Unfortunately, I don't have an ill-tempered half dressed apostate to sort her out.

@Gala, Ole'! I love it. :D

@ Sarah, I'm glad scary creepy old lady Flemeth never got close to Andres. -shudder-

I love that old god baby is only marginally shorter than Mae. :D

Also, I mentioned in another thread, but for anyone thinking of preordering Dragon Age 2 on PC there's a 25% off sale on direct2drive until tomorrow morning. Ended up only being $45!

I'm thinking steam is a lost cause by now, as much as it annoys me.

I canceled my Amazon pre order for this since, well, I'd prefer digital and $14 off is nothing to sneeze at. Especially if it was Anders in that video...

OGB: Are you a kid too?
Mae: -blank face- No. No I am not.
OGB:Then why are you so shor--
Anders: Hey! Who wants a snack?!

All ya'll learning to draw/drawing again made me nostalgic and I looked through some of my old sketchbooks. So here is Anders as if  drawn by a sixteen year old Bef. XD

Aw, he looks sad! Well, I suppose everyone I drew at sixteen was pretty miserable looking. Angst is like candy to teenagers.

Every person I drew had eyes a size too big and looked like someone just kicked their puppy. I was so tortured I tell you... what with my free room and board... and lack of real responsibility.

I wrote bad goth poetry. Only Robert Smith understood the pain that was my teenage years.

The Cure was the soundtrack to my teenage years. Them and Morrissey. But I took refuge in early British sci fi and Star Trek. I always wanted to be a proper goth but the closest I ever got was an old Doctor Who t-shirt, black jeans and Doc Martins. It's hard to be a proper goth when you're not willing to dye your hair or wear make-up.

I used to write bad stream-of-consciousness autobiographical short stories. God they were awful. I found all my old stuff recently and I wanted to burn it, but I decided it was better that I KNEW where I'd come from...

I would just periodically cut off all my hair, look like/dress like a twelve year old boy, and scowl at everything. I was like an older depressed Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird. XD

Hm, I think I was like Sigrun when I was a teenager. Wearing black and telling everybody that death is awesome, but at the same time making fun of everything and everybody including myself.

I'm still going to be a teenager for...exactly a month and would really like to think I'm not THAT bad but in five or ten years, who knows if I'll agree.
