Ack, that's right. Ugh.
Not that I minded Finn. Just... I want Anders!
Although Finn's personality would make him an interesting companion. No one in either game really seemed to care about the nonstop filth and blood like he did. Zevran commented on it, but that was mostly joking about Ferelden than actually complaining about living in abject squalor.

Top of page again?!

@Lupus, it's a disease I tell you. I liked Finn a LOT, but I would also rather have Anders. Still, that screenshot was too much of a tease - I'm almost certain he's at least going to be there for a little while which would be fabulous.

And I just got a Christmas card from Aimo! Really sweet!

That is sweet of her! Is it a drawing?

Also, I'm liking Varric more and more. Look at this screenshot. It's like he went to the Anders and Zevran School of Flamboyant Battle Fashion.

Yes, it's of a woman warrior and a dwarf (or possibly a hobbit). Printed - so I figure she sends one to everyone who gets commissions from her (you'll probably get one too!).

And Varric - THE CHEST HAIR - love it. I will so romance him with one of my fem!Hawkes. Provided Anders isn't there, of course. Otherwise it will probably take me a few playthroughs to get the Anders romance out of my system the way it did with Alistair.

I still hope for qunari as a romance option. Miss Hawke is at least 6 feet tall, she deserves the happiness of looking fragile next to a real man. And no chest hair can change my mind :D Although ser Pounce-a-lot's owner can... Of course it will end badly for miss Hawke, she will be murdered by an evil orlesian blood mage, because I can't let Anders dump Marina. I had enough of that from Alistair.

Hm, now I have this crazy thought, what if Anders was another bastard prince, what if he was in Origins and there was an option to make him a king? (I know it's impossible, because he's a mage, but the question is about his personality, not his class) So, would he escape from his coronation? Or would he think that to have a lot of good food, pretty queen and the right to execute fools is a good option?

Anders would be all over being king I think. Cushy throne, good food and no Templars chasing him? Sign me up for THAT!

Anders would absolutely love to be king.

Hm, no.

He would THINK he'd love to be king, since he'd think 'crown!' 'wealth!' 'no one to tell me what to do!'

After his first Landsmeet he'd be on the next boat for Tevinter under an assumed name.

He will then try and pick up girls by telling them about the time he was king of Ferelden.

Of course like every Maric's child he would need a queen to make him happy. And to rule :)

There is so much fantastic in that drawing I can't even begin to list it all. The kitty boxers, the crown, the hands on his hips, and the look on his face is the best of all.

I guess my brain is trying to protect itself from unhappy!Anders, hence so many strange doodles about Undertow.

Undertow inspires some of the funniest fanart. I love MelRedux's stick figures. It's totally to distract from the soul crushing despair.

Although it's been a teeny tiny bit less so lately *touches wood*.

I love that picture Gala :) Reminds me how excited I am to catch up on all the Anders fanfiction over the Christmas break. Must load it all on my phone before I leave!

I'm doing the same thing. I already loaded Tank's Jowan fic into my phone to read on my flight to my mom's. Hooray for Instapaper!

@Miri, we will pretend you didn't say anything! XD

@Estral, thanks! I gave up on that, there's too many of them! I hope to catch up on Miri's fic and begin to read Lupus' at least. And I still hope to finish my own someday. Luckily it's remarkably short because I can't write long stuff.

I think I'm going to attempt Victory at Ostagar - although I'm also taking my laptop and my sister in law is going to be there as well, so there's a chance I'll be relatively child free for a couple of days... *jumps for joy*.

I'm probably the only one of us who will actually be MORE productive over Christmas. At least after the 27th any way (we're hosting the main event but heading up to Brisvegas afterwards to be waited on hand and foot by my mother-in-law - HOORAY!)

I'm going to finish AoA and then see if I can get through Blue Skies as well. After that...well, that will probably take awhile.

@Miri: I suspect I'll get a lot done once I've left. I've got hours to kill at airports with a laptop and free wifi, and come from a family of people who go to sleep at nine PM. Lots of downtime with nothing to do, especially for a night owl like me.
(alhough for now I've put off writing in favor of taking GRE practice exams online)

@Miri: That sounds wonderful!

@Lupus: It might sound odd, but I love airport downtime. Having the time before a flight all to myself and coffeeshops every 100 yards or so makes me a very happy camper. Better for writing and reading though, hard to set up to draw.

Also, I assume we are still doing a prompt this week? (even though a lot of us will be gone) I've got an idea, and am itching for it to be Thursday already :)

I think that if we do one it should be for two weeks so everyone has time to do one.

@Estral I'm definitely still up for a prompt ;).

ETA @ Lupus are you planning on doing your PhD where you are now?

I'll second Sarah's idea. We've got New Years just around the corner, too. Busy time of year.

Edit to add, since I'm freaking amazed:
Props to thinkgeek.com.  I placed an order with them on the 9th, plenty of time for it to get to me in New York from their warehouse in California by Christmas.  Well, when it didn't show up I got nervous and saw the tracking number had never gone beyond "billing information transmitted."

Just got off the phone with them, they're sending me a replacement next day air so I'll have it before my flight leaves Thursday.  They have PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE.  With actual people answering the phones.  And I was on hold
for all of thirty seconds.
I didn't know anyone still did business like that.  I fully expected to have to email or, at best, sit on hold for an hour.  So yay, I won't have to go nuts finding replacement gifts in time.

Alrighty, that sounds perfect, 2 weeks it is. (I'll mention it again when I put up my prompt idea too.)

@Lupus: Thinkgeek has incredible customer service, I love that store. Glad your your present situation worked out!!
