I guess the 1st test says you're Morrigan if you choose female gender and a staff ))) My favourite is the second one, which says I'm Sten. It's closer to the truth :)

@Miri, wow, congrats! Really useful presents! I was *dropping hints* to my family to give me an easel for 10 years, ever since I left the art school and desided to keep practicing in spare time. Of course, my mother said that I don't have spare time and my dissolvent for oil paint stinks awfully )))) Now I have a tablet and everybody's happy :)

@Cave, thanks! I feel better already :)

@Tank, haha, I believe this warden was Zev's girlfriend )))))

Edit: TOP:
Because it's sparkling:

Hey, looks like I might get a chapter or two out today. My flight home was cancelled. Trying to get a different one but I suspect I'll be stuck somewhere for a very long time.

@Lupus, sad to hear it :( I hope you'll find another flight soon.

How's you little nephew btw, when will they let him home?

He's doing good so far. I guess they normally tell people to expect preemies to go home around the date they were originally due, which was Feb 28 for him. But he's so big now, and doing so great, that he may even get home in January. They told my sis he would have been well over ten pounds if she had gone full term.

If big hands and feet means the same thing for people as big paws does for a puppy I suspect he'll be taller than me before he's ten. (his dad's like six foot seven and my sister's half a foot taller than me, so no shock there, though. i'm the shorty of the family) I'm killing time at the airport since they dropped me off on the way to see him for his am feeding and diaper change, so I'll be here a bit before they're done. Told them not to rush, though. And the guy who helped me here was adorable- looked like a young Yul Brenner. So I can entertain myself by sneaking glances at him. (I suspect I'm channeling my fic characters again...)

How are you feeling, Gala? Any better?

@Lupus that's great to hear about your nephew! I bet your sister will be pleased if he gets to go home early.

I've just realized that my in laws don't have wireless so I doubt I'll be uploading any chapters while I'm away. This gives me a sad. But I shall endeavor to write as much as possible in any case.

@Lupus, haha, don't worry, something is telling me Maggie wouldn't just sneak glances ))))

I think I'm better, I've stopped falling down, went for a walk, but tonometer shows 160/100. I think it's broken. People don't live with such pressure! Tomorrow, when I'll be in the hospital, I'll ask somebody to mesure my pressure with the old-fashioned tonometer, they are the best! Or maybe I don't know how to use this modern stuff, I just don't understand how the device can hear the sounds, it doesn't have ears and brains. :)

edit: hell, so many typos, and I'm not drunk!

@Gala: Very true! I'm not that bold, though. Not anymore, at least. Maybe when I was 21 or so. But then, I'm in a different city so a big part of my brain is like "why bother flirting, you're going home as soon as a flight opens up!"

And Anders was just introduced in The Keening Blade. So happy!

I never could flirt - guys NEVER knew I was interested in them. I was always their "mate". Drove me nuts.

My problem is that I can't flirt SUCCESSFULLY. I also can't tell when I'm being flirted with, either, so it's a failure on all sides.

And my flight home for tomorrow was just canceled too! Aaaarrrgggh!

@Lupus - there should be some sort of manual for people like us. I sometimes wonder how on earth I managed to get married. And what's with the flights being cancelled? How do they get away with that? Do you get some sort of compensation or do you just have to weather it?

In-laws DO have wireless, it turns out. Hooray for not being cut off from the universe! Flight up here was absolutely HELLISH though. Had to fight the little girl to stay in her seat - the boy cried the whole way and we set off every other kid in the plane too - I bet the staff are going to groan when we appear for the way back. Still, we're here now and everyone's ok. Raining, but hot as a bastard. Gotta love Queensland.

Well, we're in the middle of a blizzard, so the cancellations are annoying but not their fault- it's just not safe to fly in this weather.

Rescheduling me for Thursday, however, is absolutely unacceptable when the storm is going to be over by breakfast-time tomorrow. I'm hoping they add more flights. I may just rent a car, but it's a ten hour drive, which is kind of a lot for someone who doesn't even drive on a regular basis.

@Lupus - it's a shame Christmas holiday season lands slap bang in the middle of the worst traveling weather for you guys. All we have to worry about are cyclones ;).

Oh wow. This is heaven. I forgot I don't have to think about food for everyone - someone's always carrying the baby for me and the toddler is being entertained by her aunty. I want to move here.

This is snow from the last five hours or so. Which is a decent amount, even by the standards of where I live (which gets much more snow than this area most of the time)

@Lupus, oh, this is bad, but at least you can go back to your mother's home to wait. I think it could've been worse. Last year a lot of flights were cancelled here because some companies had awful debts and couldn't pay for fuel, and people had to live in airports which was very expensive and uncomfortable.

I hope the blizzard will stop soon. It has stopped here (finally!).

Oh, and somehow I forgot to say that news about your nephew are great! I hope they will let him to be taken home soon, it must be awful for young mother and a baby to be separated, even though it's a nesessary evil.

@Miri, looks like you're having a real vacation :)

@Gala: absolutely. I was supposed to change planes in another city, I could have gotten stuck there. I'm at my sister's house now.

My nephew is doing fantastic. As of tonight he's off all the machines- only a feeding tube.:D

@Lupus, great news! Maybe they will let the little one home for the New Year? If he'll be doing fine this week. I know nothing about babies, but if he doesn't need machines anymore, he can be fed at home :)

And I've just came back from hospital. That operation... or manipulation? Anyway, it's over now, and though it was painful as hell, it was over fast, before I could kill the doctor ))) Now I need to be careful and visit them again a month later.

Funny thing is that I called my mother and she said she knows the doctor, she was his patient when she was in the maternity hospital 27 years ago with my brother. :)

Mmm. I'm going to get beaten up if I gloss over Alistair/Leliana smut, aren't I? This chapter is going to be soooo long.... Also - writing smut when your mother-in-law is in the room? Kind of difficult.

@Lupus WOW, that's great for such a premmie baby. I bet your sister is tense about it though.

@Gala OUCH sounds painful and I don't even know what it was - I'm glad you didn't kill your doctor though ;)

@Miri, Alistair/Leliana what? Hahaha, I knew they had something! Even before it was confirmed in the Darkspawn Chronicles :)

Ah, and this thing is called "cauterization" if my old med dictionary is correct. Sounds awful. When I first heard it, I cried out: 'They will do WHAT????" I know it's a common thing for women right after labor, and I suspect they don't think it's painful after what they've been through, but for me it was kinda unexpected. )))

Mmm, this page needs more dr. A because we had too much of the women:

@Miri: I know the feeling. I'm thinking I'm on smut hiatus until I get home. Just seems odd writing it sitting on my sister's couch next to the christmas tree and playpen.

@Gala: I actually winced in pain reading that. I'm glad it went well... and I hope they gave you some impressive painkillers!

@Lupus, it doesn't hurt if you don't go up and down the stairs :) And now I can read Katherine Kurtz without loosing my consciousness during the scenes where zealots burn mages on pyres and torture them :) Hell, that lady loves to write creepy things.

Finally find some wireless in the car! Also got stranded in the same blizzard as Lupus and eventually made it to Philadelphia, where the relatives are sans internet.

@ Gala: glad your procedure went well, hope you continue to feel better!

@Lupus: congrats on a healthy nephew!

@Miri: woo art supplies! I am trying to finish some Anders-related sketches, its difficult with so many people buzzing about :)
