Thanks for the reassurance Lupus. I couldn't see him NOT being an LI if he was included, but I am so so so very biased.

I've decided in AOA world DA2 just doesn't exist. I suspect I've made too many massive world changes for them to ever be remotely compatible, anyways.

I reject most of Awakenings (specifically the parts where it's my very-busy Paragon who cares about making the GWs look good and Ferelden).

@Estral, Lupus, and Miri, Thanks. My go to Anders face is contemplative and broken-hearted, so ta da!
I've always got my other two wardens who I've properly fleshed out. Tambre Amell loathes him and Bronwyn Cousland who is friends with him, but not *straightens collar* friendly. ;D
Although I'm totally importing my Maeve game, b/c it's got my fave results.

@Sarah - I always thought it was a bit freaking unbelievable that my princess consort Cousland was allowed to jet off for six months and fight darkspawn too.

@Cave my Alim save is my best actually - as far as how many side-quests were completed and how powered up he is. So I'm going to go with that one for DA2.

Oooh, it must be Anders. It makes sense. Or why on Earth would DG say that Anders' past is a spoiler? Because it's a part of DAII!
And if he's LI, than Sebastian will die a virgin.

I honestly doubt he's romance-able in the game, but my tablet follows the rules of no man!

My boyfriend was/is a little in love with Shale in the context of his Aeducan and rl... which makes me wonder about him, but more so about myself. XD

Well, my thought is that Anders is VERY popular in the DA fandom. Like, crazy popular when you consider he's a non-romanceable character from a not universally well received expansion who didn't even exist in the original game. The only characters with more fics are the original four LIs. And even that isn't by many in the case of the female LIs. Anders even has more than twice as many fics than Teagan, which surprised me.
His thread here is more active than the Zevran thread these days. Huge showing on deviant art, too.

And, well, look what happened when people reacted (and not even that strongly) to Garrus similarly after ME1... So they do have a track record of bringing back non-romanceable characters as a romance option when there seems to be a strong demand. (and Anders is far less... um... unconventional. Although I love me some Garrus.)

I've only just met Garrus (playing ME very VERY slowly because I suck at it SOO VERY MUCH) but I totally get it the Garrus love. I totally didn't expect his voice when I first heard it - I was expecting some sort of sensual, beefcake voice, but got this remarkably intelligent sexy nerd-voice instead. HOT. You can totally ignore that he's a weird alien dude. Or revel in it, if that's your thing .



SO. YES. Possible Anders as a possible LI. Two and a half months to go, nughumpers!



And oh, given his popularity, it so works that he'd be the last companion to be revealed. Although I was dead certain Nate was going to pop up as well. Guess he'll just be a cameo instead.

@Gala Playing dead is the best way to get out of stuff. I always thought that was what Vila did in Blakes' 7 (and no, I don't expect people to get what Blakes 7 is. Suffice to say it's an obscure British sci fi series from the seventies, and it ROCKS).

Hello to all, I think this may just be my first time posting on the DA forums... wow. I just had to come here and profess my adoration to all of you who have written fics and have made beautiful art of my absolute fav DA man. Huge thanks for all your creativity!



Don't have much else to add other than I am so excited for DA2's release. I will admit I have not been able to keep up with all the 'speculation' about whether Anders is that mystery mage in DA2. It seems that we still don't know the answer about who it is, huh? I will honestly squee like a little girl if it turns out to be Anders. But, I am trying my best to not get my hopes up. *longing sigh* It's not working very well!! Only 2 and a half more months, right?? Eeeeeek!

@Miri... when my husband hears me typing away on my laptop giggling like a fool, he typically raises and eyebrow and asks: "What is it now?" He knows I'm up to no good anytime I'm on the forums. He knows he shouldn't ask, but he can't help himself. It provides him ammo for picking on me later, lol. Whenever he plays the game, he'll pretend like he's going to be mean to my fav characters, just to rile me up. When he played awakenings, he acted like he was going to turn Anders over to the Templars at every chance. You should have heard me wail in protest. He ate it up like candy. The jerk.

ETA:  Ooh I missed the pic, Estral.  I feel the same way!  If only...
