Hm, looked at the DA2 Anders' thread... Our thread is so much better. Some people there say he's not handsome enough. Shame on them.

I already preordered from direct2drive, since it was 25% off, but I'm glad it's on steam for all the people who don't have other online options.

Awww, bastards! They said they weren't going to put it on Steam! They actually waited until I'd preordered it through EA. That was SOO their evil plan with the whole "before January 11" thing. I hate them with a special hate.



Ah well. At least I'll not have to deal with the vagaries of Steam when I play DA2. Although I would have preferred to keep all my games in the one application...



And Fabriel's Anders is SUPER hot. I really love her robes for him. Not just because they expose his sex arms .

Miri- you can load non-steam games into steam. At the lower left it should say "+ add a game..."

Click there and "add a non-steam game" pops up. Then you can open it through the Steam app.



That's what I do with my GOG stuff since I hate having a million desktop icons.

Once again, you save me from technical incompetence . Can you add non-digital games as well to stop the hassle of playing around with discs? That would be kind of awesome... Not that I play any games but DA and Mass Effect these days..

Hm... yes and no. My roommate uses it for his copy of New Vegas and I know he bought it at a gamestop midnight release. So you CAN add it to the Steam tool. But if you need the disks or not depends on if the game itself has an option to install it without needing the disk to play. Some do, some don't. (the ones that don't can be fixed to do that, but it usually involves having a crack which I suspect is more than you want to deal with).

Have you seen the IGN run down of DA2? It looks fabulous. And it seems Alistair's cameo is just as King in a cutscene. They seem to be hinting rather heavily that we'll see someone else we know (apart from Flemeth) as well

It looks so good. Did you notice in the second gallery pic, the combat scene, one of the party members is blacked out?

It looks like the same environment where the maybe!Anders screenshot was taken, too.

I believe my behaviour has descended into the realms of obsessive compulsive disorder. Zoomed in that picture, but can barely make anything out. I THINK it's male. And it looks to be wearing a cowl, or have bangs. Other than that... *shrug*.

Also, did you notice in her equipment slot she had an "imported" circle staff? Looks like Godwin the arch-criminal is smuggling stuff out of the tower. Love it.

He could be KO'd. I doubt they'd bother to black out Carver - everyone knows he's a temp companion at least.

That's what I mean- I thought it was blacked out, but it may be greyed out as a game mechanic- to show he was no longer in the fight.
I'm betting they have to sign something saying they won't reveal characters Bioware hasn't mentioned yet if they ant to preview the game or something.

Ugh, I have to write the Isabella scene soon for Blue Skies. I have no idea how I'll manage that.

@Lupus, Good luck with that. Honestly. I think you'll be fine, because you handle d Anders/Maggie/Zev quite well, but I personally am terrified of forgetting where I made so-and-so put his hands in relation to what's-her-name and that-one-guy's other parts. XD
