Shouldn't this be in the Alistair thread? They're the same person after all.

I need more shots of Anders without blood splattered all over him. For some reason he always wades into melee whenever I play awakenings - even if I've got him on ranged AI. Just can't bear to be separated from my PC I guess

You didn't come out and ask, but I thought I'd oblige anyway...

Ooh, thank you. That second one is just sex on legs!
Isn't it? This is my favorite of him, taken by yukidama:

I especially like the placement of the staff behind his head

Yeees, I've seen that one in the Alistair thread a few times. He looks a lot like I imagine he would if you suggested he join you in your warden commander's study for some.... paperwork.

Where do you get that staff in Awakenings? I haven't seen it before.
If you defend Amaranthine, there's a Disciple that drops it (but you have to pay attention, it's with the armed ogre and there's a cutscene immediately after you get done with the fight). It's called "Lamppost in Winter."

Anders does not seem to say much about his past. We know he escaped from the tower 7 times, but he never said why he was so unhappy? We know he used to be a devout Andrastian, but what made him lose his faith? We also know (from his Bio) that he entered the tower at about 14. So where was he that he was able to escape the tower's notice for so long? I do believe reading in another post that saying to much would be spoilerish for the character. My hope is that they bring Anders back in either a DLC or the next expansion so we can learn more about him.
He was probably sexually abused by some noble piece of sh!t, and when he came in the Circle it just continued.

That exact story has already been given to a character in the DA universe, and his personality doesn't really lend itself to that sort of a crappy past.

I know which character you mean, she was the reason why I think soB)
Apparently such crap is common in Thedas.....
Anyways, it certainly would explanin why he enjoys killing templars.

I don't think he killed them, he just wasn't too upset that they died. My impression is that, first and foremost, he just hated the structure in general and, because of his personality, he bore the brunt of templar nastiness but nothing too horribly extreme. I think getting kicked in the head every morning would wear someone down.

Also, Templars are not allowed to engage in sex at all and Greagoir would never stand for it if he knew. Does Anders really seem like the type to be too timid to confess?SurelyForth wrote...

Well I got the impression he killed them. But then, I´m biased, because that´s what my mages do whenever possible:devil:

Didn´t stop other templars. (Doesn´t stop priests in Real Life either from raping children)Sarah1281 wrote...

Why should he? You´re not his therapist and didn´t even ask.Does Anders really seem like the type to be too timid to confess?

I'm not talking about confessing to you. If Anders is in the Circle most of the time then the man in charge is Greagoir. If something happened and Anders reported it, that Templar wouldn't be in a position to do it again (Lily goes to Aeonar for breaking her vows and dating a mage. What do you think would happen to those who had sex with them?) and if the other Templars knew he'd just tell Greagoir they wouldn't risk molesting him either. I'm not saying it would never happen to anyone but I don't see Anders as the type to quietly put up with it.Tirigon wrote...

You´re probably right, but it´s not sure. And then, who says the templar´s did it? We know of enough assclown mages that I think they could do something like that, too.

Also from his bio we know he's an incredibly powerful mage - probably one of the best the tower ever sees, and all he gets to do is sit around waiting for them to find something for him to do? Frustrating. No wonder he wanted out.
Hatred of Templars would just follow on logically from all that.
