So I'm actually fully awake and can leave proper responses to everyone's page 300 stuff!
@Cave: The way Anders is looking in the mirror like that gives me chills.
@Avilia: Poor Nate...he can console himself by knowing Bioware probably planned to make Anders a major part of DA2 from the get-go and had a vested interest in capturing our imaginations. Seeing them back to back like that really does reinforce how much more textured and real the DA2 robes are... except for that fur!
@Miri: I know I told you this already, but I love this. The last three lines are pure distilled brilliance. And it does make perfect sense that relief over seeing a friend again could cause Anders to let his guard down.
@Gala: Love love love, as always! The way you're doing the animated eyes is fantastic, and I really like the idea of Anders pushing others to join him.
@Pagerunner: I always have wondered if the pounce thing was supposed to be a real thing, or just a little game mechanics joke. I like how you dealt with it.
@nenosronhir : that was really fantastic. I love how you showed his change from hiding and denying caring, to slowly showing his real grief.
So many awesome drawings over the last day, too. Maker's breath, we are fantastic!
@Miri, Cave, nenosronhir, and Gala: Thank you! I really enjoyed writing that. I CANNOT WAIT to get the game and start my da2 fic, and unless it's spelled out otherwise I'm thinking that's how it will begin. I really can't think Justice went in with malicious intentions of possessing Anders- or that he was already leaning towards demonic. I can't see Anders letting something like that go unnoticed, either, if he was. To me, it seems like the two of them would honestly come to the decision with the best of intentions.
An Anders (who wasn't involved with the warden commander, obviously), that was involved in either saving the city or the keep would probably become far more angry and eager to aid mages after seeing his actions made no difference in how he was treated by the Chantry. I can see a successful run through Awakenings ending with a victorious, surviving Anders leading to an even more bitter man in the long run.
Sadly, it's making me less excited about my current fics...
