I grow more and more worried about all of us each day...
All we want is an arguably handsome, violent, overly powerful man with dissociative identity disorder who could snap at any minute and make everything around him explode...
Well, that sounds good to me. XD

Do they make hovels that aren't awful? Everyone always says an awful hovel. Are there, like, surprisingly pleasant hovels. :D

Preview of something awesome-

@ Cave dying of laughter again. I love the word "Murderate" beyond all reason! And edited to add - I think I know what that is a preview of, and I cannot wait! YAY LAMPPOST!!! It so needs its own fan thread.

Although I always give him the staff of the lost because it's better, and Alim gets spellfury, because, well, you know, he's THE COMMANDER. In Shades he got Spellfury though, since he's the only kick arse mage. But he had to pay for it out of his own money. Man, that stick is EXPENSIVE.

Oooh, so that moment IS when Justice becomes Vengeance?

And having lived in some truly awful hovels in my life, I can say there is certainly fun to be had in them. All you need is four walls and a door. ;)

(and new chapter in maybe 5 min)

@Miri, Murderate is a nice word. It's increbily violent, but silly enough that you can laugh it off if you need to.
I almost never give anyone Lamppost, but I'd carry that damn thing to the ends of Thedas before I'd part with it. I'm just a selfish drawer-er and wanted to draw it. ;D
Spellfury is almost expensive as it is awesome, which is very, very much so.

@Cave: Oh, I give Lamppost to Anders the very instant I can. It was far, far too much fun in AMWT throwing Anders and Alistair in a scene together and having the name of that staff come up in conversation.....

@Page, Oh, Lampost is the thing of which smarmy, snarky Anders comments are made. ;D

Well, I live in a flat that can be considered as a nice hovel because it even has a kitchen and I got rid of cockroaches. :D

You know, the guy who wrote the article is a glorified grumpy critic who thinks all games are made of crap, and he made a nice comment about Anders. Isn't it sweet?

Also, there's a hint why Anders' new robes look like they are made of rags and patches. Guess he really has no money and probably sold his earrings and other cool things we gave him. (An old Balzac fan awakens in me...)

I almost never use that one, to be honest. Or I give it to Velanna. Anders gets Staff of the Lost usually, or Spellfury if I'm not playing a mage. I wish they hadn't made it weaker than both of those, especially since Staff of the Lost has such a generic model.

(and chapter posted. They're very upset with me, they know the time is drawing to a close...)

Thinking on it now... I had to dump not one but two kettles of boiling water in my tub today just so my bath would be hot enough. So my apartment isn't exactly Buckingham Palace or anything.  Not sure if I'd call it a hovel, but there was the time a wall cracked open and it started snowing inside...
(My rent? INSANELY cheap.  My apartment?  Massive and in a fantastic neighborhood.  You take what you can get, I guess.)

I quote because it's cute and was so busy with reading the article and trying to translate it that I nearly missed it. Oh, Cave, and your preview is sooo cool, I love the details and I'm sure this will be awesome indeed

Edit: I just couldn't help it:

Anders: We can't get married at all.
Hawke: Why not?
Anders: Well, in the first place, I'm not a natural blonde.
Hawke: Doesn't matter.
Anders: I drink lyrium! All the time!
Hawke: Makes kisses more spicy ;)
Anders: Well, I have a terrible past. For a year I've been living with an assassin, a dead girl and a drunken dwarf.
Hawke: I forgive you.
Anders: (Tragically) I can never have children!
Hawke: We can adopt some.
Anders: But you don't understand, Cassy! (Shiny eyes) I'm an abomination!
Hawke: Well, nobody's perfect!

Cookie if you can tell me which movie I quote ^_^

I don't know why but I keep imagining my Warden taking a bereaved Anders into her arms and running her fingers through his hair while repeating the "Litany Against Fear" from Dune. I have no idea why I imagined this besides the need to comfort him, or it could be me just wanting to fix everything ><.

Oh, it seems Anders was made for Tevinter Style robes, because I can't picture him without the fur shoulders.

@cave and Galagraphia, you are going to kill me with the awesome you two keep posting!

@TripLight, you can call me Gala, btw.

You say you can't imagine him without the robes, huh? (Why do I keep imagining him without them? This will not end well, as usual. He will catch cold and Hawke will have to spend all her time with him, feeding him with chicken soup and using her bosom as a heater. And Carver will disapprove... XD)

I hate those Tevinter robes though. The Chasind ones, too. Blech. Can't they make better mage robes?

@Gala, Mmmm... Cookies!
Our Hawkes will have to keep him in bed with a cold cloth on his forehead. He probably shouldn't be wearing those complicated robes either. Just a nice little  tunic, a really thin one or less... Wait. What were we talking about? ^_^

@Trip, Thank you. It takes quite a bit of work for me to imagine him with the robes. :3

I like the Tevinter robes... okay, so actually I just like the fuzzy shoulders. They're dumb, I know, but I mean, fluffy!

LOL I mean, when I put him in the "Bood Promise" robes, *cough*made'emabloodmage*cough*, he didn't have the same kind of presence, they didn't do him justice, so to speak:ph34r:. Though the new Tevinter Robes fit him perfectly, my Hawke would quite happily divest him of them .

I actually put it into my fic that Circle mages, since they're so isolated and have sort of a unique micro-culture, have notoriously bad taste. They honestly think the robes and cowls are quite attractive. They may have dressed normally hundreds of years ago, when the Circles were first established, but while the rest of the world went off in one direction, they took the path to fur and feathers crazytown instead.

Which kind of makes sense. When you live in an environment where everyone dresses alike and is seen as less than an individual, it isn't surprising they all fluff their plumage as much as possible to stand out.

And then you get mages like Anders who knows everyone hates his kind and could respond by dressing like a normal person, but instead went the complete opposite direction and dresses like a freaking Tevinter magister. Since, you know, might as well revel in that ****. And, as Maggie once said, the fur is very classy and all the buckles are quite smart. (plus, for her, I really like that in a world where everyone wears ankle length gowns and robes or armor- men included, she bounces into battle in a corset, fur shoulder cape, and miniskirt. Situationally appropriate as always! If there were dragon age stripper boots she'd probably have a pair in every color of the rainbow. But steel toed, of course, since that's just the responsible thing to do.)

It really is the only way to explain something like this, which was presumably designed by a sane adult for use by a sane adult and not at all on a dare or involving large doses of hallucinogens.

It looks not bad even on Morri.

But I always pick the ugliest hat for Wynne, because I'm a bad person.

And Anders I prefer in glorious helmets XD He looks so manly in them:

Oh, it's Justice there btw. Creepy.

Edit:
@Aeowyn, it's Greg Ellis. He just... talks like Justice :)

I turned off the no-helmet mod to get that screencap! But she would totally wear it voluntarily. Probably more often if it was blue and silver instead of purple and gold.

And the video is right here

Ninja'd on the video- but to clarify- Greg Ellis has confirmed he's returning to voice Anders.  It's not speculation at this point, at least as far as that goes.

Only someone who could set you on fire could run around Thedas looking like an ugly lipstick.

I always stick my female mages into Reaper's Vestments ASAP. I mean fur shoulders and lilac thigh highs? Sign me up. XD
