Shamelessly promote my own masterpiece.

*Le Sigh* And I just killed poor Nhek off today in my short story....

She's great, I agree! And I'm still wibbling over the death of Nhek, Tank. Neria is living FIRMLY in the realm of AU.

I know~ :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Fortunately Neph is happily living in Antiva with Zevran.

She will be back if she knows her best friend is in trouble, though.

Found another gem

I have a cup full of wibble here. Anyone want to join me???

I'm loving this whole thing, but there's a part of me inside that's sitting there crying my little eyes out rocking back and forth in the corner whispering "what have they done to you???"

:( :( :(

@Tank, aww, this is sad.

No, I'm not going to kill Marina, she will have to live with the knowledge that Anders is lost to her, and he will live with the knowledge that she probably wishes him to be dead. O, the angst! And Fem Hawke aka Cassia will not bother to understand it, being busy with her family business.

I have a feeling I'll be dissolving into wibbles myself once it really sets in what he's become - after I get over the fhdjkalfhldjka awesome stage. T^T

@Miri, I must say I'm kind of disappointed. I thought his parents were as awesome as Hawke's, but they were average :( And I thought Anders didn't do it, and now he did. I want to give him all the hugs in the world, because I can't see him being ok with the fact that he killed all those people and some of them were wardens!

And... What have they done to you, Andiiiiii???? *tears*

Ya know, I'm uncomfortable with the fact that this whole abomination thing in no way bothers me. XD

It's obvious that he didn't intend for it to happen and my Hawke is the bloody Champion of Kirkwall, she'll sort things out. Maybe it's just my inner Brontë sister that's showing, but I'm kind of digging it that they're stripping his humanity away and making him this growling monster at times and that you have to tragically, yet calmly rail against fate to save him.

"Hawke, I am Justice! He's always, always in my mind: not as a pleasure, any more than I am always a pleasure to myself, but as my own being." hehe

@nenosronhir, That is just as lovely as the content is awful.

@cave and Avilia - thank you! The instant I finished reading his story snippet I couldn't help myself ;~;

Oh! In case some of you folks are more fond of the liney-bits without all the blood, just the anguish;

@nenosronhir, I love both pictures!

Ah, poor Anders.

@Cave, I don't worry that my Hawke won't love Anders because of his inner demon :) I hope BW didn't spoil his sparkling personality and made him, you know, the epically tragic figure. Because he may start to hate himself, and that would just suck.

I think, if it follows the paths of other BW romances, you'll have the chance to help him do one of three things: A) to help him control Vengeance, B ) exorcise the demon entirely, c) help him turn it back to Justice.

My inner Brontë sister would be Anne. Posted Image

As long as they don't turn this into an expanded Connor Guerrin, I think it might not turn out that bad. As it is right now, that's essentially what I'm seeing.

Well, not exactly Connor. Anders can control it most of the time. And he changes only when they start frst :)

Ah, I posted it in the other thread, but you know, romances ;) I'm impressed how much Anders changed. I think it started in Awakening. He was fun-fun-fun and then boom: Let's save everybody, let's show Velanna that she was wrong! Let's stay and defend the city! I guess that impulse evolved and that's why he's now healing poor folk instead of sitting in a tavern. I'm kinda proud of him, you know. :)

Here's the thing, I've never thought Anders was really that happy-go-lucky. It seemed to convenient at certainly inconvenient times. He is without a doubt charming and silly and delightfully self-serving at times, but I've never known anyone who was like that that wasn't covering up for something. He shrugs thing off and is apathetic because he might fail, which is in sharp contrast to being that cocky...

-does the tango of emotional conflict-

Or maybe, I just see everyone else as being a little crazy, because I am... but it does take one to know one after all. ;D

@Cave, sometimes I had the impression that he was pretendind, yes. Maybe I think about pixel people too much, heh. But I'm all "gimme evolution of a personality or I won't believe he's a real person!", and so far I'm excited to see what will happen to Anders. 10 years of fighting against your inner demon? See, I think he is that cocky and it's not failure he's afraid of, it's losing what he's gained for himself. I'm starting to think that even his response to Wynne saying that the Circle wants to split off from the Chantry is more of a "Oh, ****. That means the Chantry will freak out, come down really hard on the mages and I'm a mage and oh, ****." I have no doubt that he's covering up for some anger, but he seems to have channeled most of what others might turn into self-loathing into pride in who he is, the Chantry-be-damned, and he wants to make the most of his freedom because he is well aware that it could be temporary.

Mmm, I've been re-reading that story and I was thinking of SinCity!Anders...

And how much I like that shift from "BWAHAHAHA, we will have VENGEANCE!!!!" to "OMG, how many dead people. Did I do it?"

And I like how Anders thinks of Justice as of his friend, so cute. Poor guys.

Oh wow, Gala, that's so powerful! You are amazing as always.

I honestly think he will do his utmost to save Justice or bring him back to himself. But I also think Justice is going to fight him on that - I wouldn't be surprised if he says "I'm not going anywhere or doing ANYTHING until you (to borrow a phrase from Cave) BURNINATE THE CHANTRY!"

(and Cave, I totally have no problem with him being an abomination - still hot IMO).

ETA Oh @Sarah I was busy being squee-y over Cave's picture and forgot to mention how much I ADORE that comic. And I'm totally with you - in real life any way. I like a bit of angst in my fictional heroes though ;)

@Miri, thank you, but it's the person who wrote it, not me. I took the text from there. I think it's the best story of all 4, thought I failed to finish reading the one about Fenris, because it went after Anders' and I was half-blind by then, and I nearly skipped Merrill's because I was jumping to Anders' all the time.

I think Anders is an awful softie. I'm sure he'll be protecting Justice. How he describes his feelings about accepting the spirit... it seems so intimate. Things he say: that he was alone, and then Justice offered everything he was. It makes me want to hug them both to death. And then Anders is so shocked and exiles himself from the Wardens. I'm under deep impression.

And they still gave us no screenshots of Anders' sexitimes, so I'll be shameless and post this one:

Miri, maybe Anders' romance contains too many spoilers? Or maybe he burns Hawke's undies and they can't show it because it's too steamy?
