@Ashez2ashes I already was one, so it's too late for me :). And I'm totally into the new Anders - dark and angsty as he is. I would have LOVED to romance the old Anders, but that will just have to be in my head now.

To be honest, is anyone else kind of hesitant they even want to be an Anders fangirl yet? I loved him in Awakening, but he could have changed so much he might not have the same qualities I liked to begin with. I've never been into grim dark angsty characters.

No because even though Anders was easily my favorite part of Awakening, I didn't find it long enough to get strongly attached, it seemed like there was a few dialogues, some dungeons and boom it was over. The fact that Ms Hepler seems to love snark puts me at ease too that she didn't write Anders without it, I think he's simply going to be much more dramatic, heart breaking and generally have more depth then before.

Oh, you know who he reminds me of? Gann from Mask of the Betrayer. His story was so sad and he was a monster of a sort, he was flirty, witty and his romance ending was great. Maybe I'm drawing parallels.

On a random note, have they said who is going to be the M/M romance? The elf dude seems obvious, but I think it'd be more interesting if it ended up being Anders.

When you love someone, you love the whole package. Just becuase he's gone to the darkside and we stopped loving him. Anders will always be Anders.

The Elf Dude's name is Fenris. And I personally don't think he's M/M. But it's just me talking.

Exellent! I adore Gannayev in MotB. Now we have Valen and Ganneyev in DA II. Am having a field day here!:o

Go ahead and draw parallels.  Right now, he's reminding me of Garrus in ME1 & 2.  Sans sniper rifle, of course.

Haha I was just thinking about this earlier. Especially with the whole Justice/Vengeance thing ;)

Oh that's cute! It'd be pretty cool if Anders was the bi romance instead of the token elf (no offense to Fenris), sadly I doubt it.

Oh and Gann was the first romance character that taught me the meaning of Squee! lol

@Tank D'aaaw that's so cute!

ETA I kind of hope Anders isn't the bi romance, simply because none of the other characters will get a shoe in if that's the case :). That said, I'll be snarky at Bioware for going the "it's not gay if its an elf" route again, too. So.

Maybe. I think really serious things like, say, a barely controllable demon possession could make people seriously consider whether, despite how much they love someone, a romantic relationship with them is a good idea.

Yeah, the elf guy being the bi male character just seems like some kind of elven stereotype.

@Sarah As long as they don't go the Twilight/Abusive route I'll be ok with it. Hell, your Hawke is not going to be a helpless Bella. She'll be able to protect herself and/or tell him to take a hike if she has to.

Wow, I go to work and 5 pages are here to lovingly read.B)

Sarah does bring up a valid point, how much can your heart take in regards to dealing with Anders, whose internal struggle with Vengenance will only worsen over time, barring possible solution quests and the like. But then again, if it's going to be written as well as I like to think it is, your Hawke might not waver nor acquiese in the face of that adversity.

I am so going to enjoy finding this out.

Edit: A "Hear, Hear" to Miri, lets leave the Twilight....thing out.

I've caught Gala's bug and have been writing little dialogues. XD

Hawke: We'll fix this.
Anders: Fix this? It's not a loose button. You can't just fix this.
Hawke: No, we'll fix this.
Anders: And if we can't?
Hawke: I'll do the right thing.
Anders: Wha-
Hawke: I'll do the right thing.
Anders: *nod*

@Sarah, yeah. My capacity for loving screwed up people is pretty great, but demon possession would even make me hesitate.
@Tank, that is just adorable!
@Miri, If F!Hawke trips all the time and uses too many adverbs, I might be out. XD

I remembered during the course of HotU, you have to deal with the demon blood withing Valen. It's not the first time us gamer have encounter problem like this. I am a bit curious how far will BioWare carry out this time.

I suppose if Anders really get out of hand my Hawke will take him out since I always play the 'good' characters, then cry an ocean of tears after.

Not at all. I'm looking forward to the game more than ever because of his development. X3

RE M/M pairings - Fenris seems the more likely of the two, given that Anders professed his wishes in Awakenings for women a few times (the "lovely girl" comment, and his wishes of retirement with a plump wife and a harem on the side XD), but who knows.

Also, damn Gaider and his writing, his short made me interested in Fenris but I'm scared of his thread, lol.

@nenosronhir Don't be scared of the Fenris thread. They're a bunch of fluffy bunnies and I wub them :)

ETA: Payroo is doing an amazing comic at the moment that has me howling with laughter. First page HERE.

Hehe... Oh, way too late for that. I started my first Anders fic a couple days after Awakening came out. I'm beyond hopeless at this point. :)

Too late for me; I was a fangirl from Awakening. And the darker turn in his story makes me even more fascinated because I want to know how it all turns out.
