@Gala Carver is perfect! The shirt!!! THE SHIRT! I officially dub thee the winner today.

Mygoodrabbit on DevArt - this is called "We can't tell them." I love this style - it especially suits Jowan though. She's done a fair few of him I think.

I like how she really doesn't gloss over Justice being, well, inside a corpse.

Yeah, in-game he doesn't look anywhere near creepy enough to understand why everyone else gets freaked by the visual.

I just wonder about the "smell" factor. Really. I mean - ok, these are wardens and they hang out in the deep roads all the time, but a walking corpse has got to be... fragrant at times. *shudder*

Ugh. Kristoff's body would be subject to the elements as it is just out there...walking around. Adding the increased rate of decomp brought on by being in a swamp-like area. -shudder- Really, Justice is considerably more well formed than he should be.
[gross] There should be a large amount of skin sloughing off. Insect life would have been introduced early on if one takes into account the the amount of stagnant water and moisture in the area, which are prime gestation spot for certain species. It's not like anywhere in Ferelden is going to have that great of a sewage system, so that's a constant problem.[/gross]
The smell would really be the least of anyone's worries. I think I'm just going to handwave this with "It's magic." -hand wave- -eyebrow waggle for good measure-

@nenosronhir, that was beautiful. Both the story and the art. I am in love with the folds in Anders' sleeves.

@Miri, That was hillarious and a little heartbreaking all at the same time.

@Cave the temptation of Life sized Anders is just too much, eh? :). And yes, Kristoff's body was already decomposing when Justice got into it. I can't imagine it was much fun.

In other news, finally completed Golems of Amgarrak. Christ onna stick, that DLC is stupidly hard.

@Miri: Yeah, the Golems DLC is the one thing I never bothered buying. Wasn't really in the mood for the punishment. ;)

@Miri,

Maybe. -digs toe into ground- =^_^=

I never even attempted Golems. It just seemed like it wouldn't be fun.

@cave: Considering the temptation of life size Anders I am all the more appreciative of the pic you sent me today. :)

I've always tried not to think of what ANYONE in Dragon Age smells like. At best, rotten meat considering how much blood and guts they're constantly covered in.
At least there is ample evidence of bathing being more common than in the real middle ages. I'd like to think mages bathe even more than normal people, since they can heat the water to their own comfort level with no effort.

Or so I tell myself when I'm writing smut. ;)

@Lupus, I was a good girl and took a break and finished your commission. ;D

Oh, everyone is stinky in Ferelden. They smell like dogs after all.

That is the one comfort of Anders being pretty fastidious and a mage. In the land of the stinky, the half washed man is king. ^_^

Maybe he doesn't shave because otherwise people will think he's all clean and girly ;)

Just enough stubble to look like he doesn't care, so everyone thinks he's cool...but not enough to look like he never shaves, so ladies will pay attention to him because he's relatively clean. Balance my friend, it's all about balance. XD

part of what makes him sexy is that he smells less like dogs.
(which is why Maggie likes the dogs sleeping on their bed. It keeps the other ladies at bay.)

I suspect Ferelden has a slightly less severe case of Orzammar beard syndrome. It seems like most men have beard or stubble of some kind.

OMG, edit to share FANTASTIC-NESS! Cave just posted these to deviant art, and I'm posting both here because I can't decide which I love more!

They had a demo of it running at Comic-Con, outside the room with the DA2 demo/presentation; I tried playing it while my hubby held our place in line.  It was the first time I had played on PC so I had to get used to the controls, but yeah -- STUPID hard.  I was pretty much rendered into Warden paste, the golems could have served me on toast.:o

I do, too. And the Duncan-Beard adds +10 badass to his already chuck-norris-like powers.

@Gala, Miri, Lupus & Cave Thank you so much! I drew the picture first and meant to just write the part that went along with it, but when I started ickle Anders decided he wanted mama cuddles. It's impossible to refuse ickle Anders. He's too adorable.

And I agree that Anders' father is probably not anywhere near as brutal as I wrote him - at least, I hope. XD

I don't even want to think about what Kristoff smells like. When my mum's dog was put down a few years ago she brought her home to be buried in the backyard, and I couldn't step into the garage for weeks without remembering the smell after only two days. ._.|||

I'm secretly hoping that, if mages have spells for contraception(implied by Wynne, anyway?) they have spells to make things smell nice, also. Like Prestidigitation in D&D! '-'

I confess to having tried to beat GoA on Nightmare and if I'd been playing on my xbox I guarantee controllers would have been flying(thankfully my desktop doesn't have a wireless mouse >_>). There's one room with like 8 golems that is just RIDICULOUS.

Aaaaaaah! Older bearded Anders! *3* He and Maggie look fantastic; they age so well <3<3

 @Cave, <3<3<3

Hm, I think I'm the only person who liked GoA. But I had to re-spec my rogue Cousland into an archer. And most of the time I was trying to keep the Healer Golem out of fighting, which was the most difficult part, because he didn't have ranged weapons and ignored the ranged tactics.

Oooh, mind if I flood this thread with old Awakening screenshots from my Cousland playthrough? Some of them were taken during the dialogues, and I don't remember the context of Anders' responses:

Like this one. I don't remember what she said :)

And this is one of our favourite Andersisms:

Very hot Anders:

And this proves that Anders is very good in controlling demons:

I really need to finish Rhiamon's game, I want to import her into Awakening so much!

That last shot is perfect. "So, you're a demon? How's that working out for you then?"

Oh, and my favourite bit of Anders Awakening aside dialogue is still "I'm scared. Hold me?"

ETA That demon in the last screenshot is TOTALLY staring at Anders' crotch. I might have had too many wines....

That will forever and always be my favorite silly Anders line.

@Miri, That demon is totally staring down Anders' business, mouth agape and all.

@Tank, I'm dead. Dead.
