@Sia, I re-wrote that part in my head. It was funny :)

Also, I've made a sketch inspired by Kurosawa's "Drunken Angel":

And another one, because I'm broodmothering them:

@Miri

-cuddles- It'll be alright. I'm considering following it up with something sugary sweet. As much as I love depressing things, I hate to leave Anders at an unhappy place.

@Gala, -glues Gala's heart back together-

Those pictures are fabulous. I'm loving all this high contrast stuff you're doing.

@Cave Thank you for the cuddles :). It was gorgeous though - and I can just see Mae doing that. *wibble*

@Cave, he still has little Sam, right? :( I hope he'll be ok.

And thank you.

@Miri, don't be sad! *hugs* I think your baby magic works, btw. If it's true, I'll ask the Jedi Council to raise your jedi rank from padawan to Master :) Just don't go to the Dark Side, please! We need your wedding fanfics! We will need them even more if Anders DAII romance is all misery and angst with no bloody disney happy ending!

@Miri, Thanks!
Not even death will shut Mae up. :) You know the first time Anders found one of the notes he was incredibly exasperated before he broke down....

"What? Who would do this?" Anders frowned down at the slip of paper stuck into his boot.
"You have new ones in the bottom of my wardrobe. They were for First Day." was written in a loose childish hand. Mae. My Mae with her wretched handwriting. He bit into his lip before hurriedly turning over his other boot. Nothing. He raced around the room collecting a small stack of pieces of shopping lists, torn corners of ledger pages, and other bits of paper and vellum with short messages from her.
"Oh, Mae, really?" He flung himself onto the sofa and clamped his eyes shut. He pressed the jumble of notes to his lips.
"I love you too," he whispered.

@Gala, Well, at that point, Sam would be grown and doing her own thing, but she's not going to let her Andy be too sad.

In other news, I've sodding sprained my sodding wrist. God knows how. I can still type, but I've got to do it very... VERY carefully. WHY DID THIS HAPPEN THE DAY BEFORE THE DEMO?

and Gala .....oooh, I am training up and not listening to fear or anger, so I hope you're right!!

Bought a wrist brace. Repetitive strain injury can go **** itself. I'm playing the sodding demo no matter what!

Yes, but the collarbone typically doesn't factor into the equation with the standard operation of a keyboard and mouse.  As opposed to, say, the wrist...
And, well, if it does for you... I'd say it's time for a new desk.  Or film that and put it on youtube since the logistics of such a thing boggle the mind. :P

Just remember R.I.C.E. - Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. Also, I'm not proud to admit this, but I know for a fact that you can always wrap your wrist up tight in an Ace bandage and power through whatever.

Hah! You and me did the same first aid course, Cave.

(and I suspect there's pretty much nothing codeine can't fix, at least for a couple of days)

I have to have a first aid course for work every 6 months. If anyone has a minor injury/health concern around me, they're in good shape... unless it's cold exposure. I always drift off to sleep around that point. XD
If there is something codeine can't fix, I don't want to even think about it.

@Cave I know how to deal with every type of venomous attack there is ;). Priorities, priorities in this country. Redback bite, Funnel Web bite, red bellied black snake bite (this one is just basically call a hearse) I'm your gal!

I think hearing about injuries preventing gaming make me really appreciate using the Xbox for my DA needs. Because really, I just need my thumbs to function.
Edit for On-topic: We're complaining about injuries in a thread dedicated to a healer. Clearly, someone needs to find an Anders for Miri.

@Miri, Oh, Australia, everything there evolved solely to kill everything else there. ^_^ Our whole poison/venom instructions are "Uh...Call this hotline and pray to Jesus, Buddha, Yahweh, Boba Fett, etc. "

@dpMeggers, I have the feeling if we got Miri an Anders, she would develop all sorts of horrible maladies, so that he wouldn't ever leave. ;D
You can't go! I have a hang nail! This is serious!!

The only solution is an army of Anders then. One for each of us.

...Now excuse me while I visualize that.

Edit: @Miri, ah yes, the land of "I can kill you faster than that thing can." Makes me glad my hometown is frozen solid a good 4-6 months of the year.

I'm really good with frostbite. I'm also a moderately functional punk rock street surgeon, in that I can stitch and/or glue minor wounds back together and and know just enough herbalism to deal with most routine aliments and infections for people without insurance who get a bottle to the face at a show or whatever.

Colorful youth: I had one.

Army of Anders? Sign me up. Mmmmm....

Super glue is a wonder. I have glued together many a "Dude, we can totally climb over this tall barbwire trimmed fence"- wound, while saying "You bumped into the coffee table. Coffee Table. Those have pointy edges, right?"

I would very much like to be in on deciding the uniform for this army of Anders. ;3

Oh yes, I DEFINITELY need some Anders healing magic here. God, that would be great. He can deal with my other ailments at the same time. I wonder if he can extract wisdom teeth? *ponders*

@Miri, I'm thinking just magically making the bloody things vanish entirely would be fine by me. Granted, extraction requires more *ahem* healing time.

@Miri, oh, that sounds painful. I got rid of all of them under the general anesthesia and was hiding from society for a week after that because I looked like a hamster XD

Hehe, I've made my sim!Anders a ghost buster. Now he's dealing with spirits every night. I hope sims can't become possessed. I usually make him a doctor, but that's too much headache, this job is funnier. Anders, covered in ectoplasm, mmm....

@Miri, I'm pretty sure he can pluck them out. The getting them out isn't the hard part. (My dentist literally tapped mine out my wonky one with a tiny hammer. XD) It's the healing them up that's difficult. I think he could handle that nicely.
