@Surely, no. Codex says only Rogue!Hawke or Warrior!Hawke were at Ostagar. With Carver. Aveline apparently was there as well, because when Hawkes mentioned Ostagar, she recognized them. Funny, she also said they served under Captain Varel. Could it be our Varel from Awakening? I doubt it, but it would be amazing, because I love that guy!

@nenosronhir, oooh, read it! There's a story about Hawke's father and how they were running from templars all the time until they finally settled in Lothering. The codex doesn't say how their father died though. Maybe a natural cause.

I can't help but wonder if the father's death is a real story element, something to bond with your family members over, or if it's just kind of a red herring. It may even simply be a way to explain why Hawke doesn't have to look just like the family after you edit the preset face.

@Cave, devs said Carver and Bethany will look like Hawke. Somehow.



And back on topic: I was thinking of possessed Anders and I hope he won't become another Uldred. That would be just terrifying. But when I think of it, Uldred didn't really had a plan to free mages, according to Wynne he didn't care about anyone. He probably just wanted the demon's power. Anders accepted Justice because he really wanted to change things. This gives me hope for a happy ending. Ok, not happy, just not entirely heartbreaking.

Cave- there are multiple versions of each family member triggered be changing hawke's skin and hair color.

If they don't explain his death in-game I'm going with Templars.

Well, your siblings look like whatever preset you edit to make your characters face, which is kerrazy because you can edit the faces a lot in Origins. Maybe the changes are less drastic in DA2.



Anyway, I think whatever "happy" ending we get will fall into the bittersweet category. I am sure it will be lovely though. Uldred just seemed power mad and used the cause to free mages as a tool to position himself to get said power. I can't see Anders' intentions being anything like that. For all he's self-serving, he still has that instinct to make things better.

@Lupus, I don't think templars killed Malcolm. because if they exposed the father as a mage, they would probably have his children put under vigilant watch. And this would probably be a reason to leave Lothering.

@Lupus, I think you could still make things fit that Templars killed Papa Hawke. You might have to get a wee bit creative concerning Bethany/Hawke not being caught, but you're the gal who's pairing Jowan and a Brosca. I've got faith in your ability to sort things out.

@Page, hehe, I can't say I thought the same thing, because my head was full of "Pick Anders!!!" but her robes look really cool, I agree. And btw I like how mages fight in close combat now.

@Miri: None of you need to write any more for a while. I have SO much to catch up on!! Im loving everyone's fanfics. I wish I had an ounce of your talent in the writing department. I have stories all in my head and I'm actually a decent writer, it's just finding the time to actually get it out. I think I'll read everyone's stories before I even attempt.

On another note, I'm actually getting work done!! I need this game to come out like I need a hole in the head. I'm a wedding photographer, so when the game comes out, it's going to be me at the computer debating whether to edit 100's of pictures of bridezilla or fall in love with Anders. Hmmm.... Might be time to hire an editor...
