My Hawke is getting a little fed up with the "You don't want me! You should have a normal life!" stuff. I keep looking for the "Don't tell me what I want!" dialogue option.

I'm still in act one and getting NO dialogue. He just tells ne I've been a good friend. Do all these conversations start in act 2?

@Lupus, he told me that I'm beautiful Ok, not me, Hawke, but still. To get this one I came into his clinic after finishing one of the side quests.
They also chat a lot in the background. Anders so far was mostly making Carver mad XD
I'm kind of proud how my Hawke dealt with my favourite templar ever. It was so sweet. I was afraid he and Anders would fight whose voice actor is more awesome.

You have to do them at his home location...the clinic in Darktown. I think I had two conversations with him there in Act 1 and they were both the result of prompts from the Companion area of the quest log.

I haven't pick up the game yet, it's in the shop, have to drive across the town to pick it up.

I love Bethany/Anders banter, because she's so damned nice and he seems genuinely interested in her training and stuff. Also, a few times I wanted to go back and hug them both.

And Cullen wins that challenge. I like Anders' new voice a lot, but it was so much more distinctive before.

@Surely, when Cullen started talking, I thought: "Please, Cullen, don't you order me to kill Anders and explode myself, because I'll do it, and the game will be over!" Luckily Cullen was alright. I'm so glad that he recovered! Hehe, when he was speaking about brothel... he was so adorable! XD Aww, Cullen. It would've been great to invite him there, but Anders told my Hawke not to use the services, because some of those people were his patients. The whole quest was epic win.

Okay, playing through the game unspoilered was the best. experience. ever. I'm done my mage, and it is awesome, and I'm off to play through again as a rogue!

I envy you people I'm in the act one and I don't think I'll see more of Anders today, because I'm in the hospital and they did something to my eyes and Ithey don't focus. I can't even see what I'm typing. I've msde Cassia a blood mage. It was hilarious, because I did it right after we met blood mages and she was "It's evil!!!!" And it was funny when she asked Anders to do 'a test', lol. They should get married.

I spent 99% of the game as only a Spirit Healer, then slapped two points into Force Mage at the end because I guess Miranda figured out some last-ditch force powers after witnessing it (and getting pummeled by it) for so long. Didn't want to make her a Blood Mage, and all my other points pretty much went into Spirit Healer/Primal. I love love love the lightning spells, so she mastered that tree. XD; Now, if only the good +lightning damage% staves/armor came sooner than Act 3...

I'm assuming most people on this forum are currently playing or haven't beaten DA2 yet?  Are you guys migrating over to the DA2 forums at that point?  Because I certainly don't want to spoil anyone here if that's the case, but I'm desperately curious to see what long-time Anders fans think of... developments.

@leggywillow, I think I won't go there untill I finish the game. People discussing the ending and I don't want to read it yet.
I wonder, how do people play so fast? I'm still in the act 1, and my 2nd playing day is over.
My Hawke and her Anders are so cute. She catches all arrows for him. And he heals her after that.

@Leggywillow I'm not going near the DA2 thread until I've finished the game. I DON'T want to be spoiled for ANYTHING Anders related, I'm having too much fun finding it out as I go. So.

I'm even tempted not to go near the DA2 forums until I've done 2 playthroughs. There are lots and lots of plot points where things can diverge and I don't want to be spoiled for those either. So it's squee-ing in generalities for a while for me.

I've taken heaps of screenies, but I need to get them onto the laptop. When I have I'll post some soulful eyes. THOSE EYES. DAYUM. THAT MOUTH. *sigh*.

@Gala I haven't finished (just got to Act 3) but I spoiled myself last week so I don't mind posting in the DA2 forum.

@Miri I find myself having to replay scenes of his just because I get so caught up in watching them that my screenshots are non-stop derp. There are whole sections of my folder that I can click through quickly and it's like a flipbook of him and Hawke conversing in some sort of moon language that consists entirely of contorted facial expressions. Meanwhile, everything I get of Fenris looks like a freaking shoot for Tortured Elves and the Women Who Love Them magazine.

I do have a hilarious capture from the love scene. It's my wallpaper at home and even my boyfriend approves.

Well, you guys need to head over there when you're done.  Most of the Anders chat over there now is very philosophical (and rightfully so).  I want to hear from the other longtime fangirls!

I kind of regret about Hawke's blood magic now. Anders said after one particular quest that he hates blood magic and mages who are making deals with demons because they confirm that the Chantry is right. And it's his favourite topic with Merrill. Odd, he wasn't so hostile in Awakening. Still I'm getting no rivalry from him. Hepler hinted that sometimes rivalry is better, but I agree with him so far. I only made him mad once, but it was OOC and I replayed. But I got an angry glowing picture:

Lupus will love it: Anders and Isabela had a chat about the Pearl and how they liked a girl with griffin tattoo. And that Anders used lightnings XD It was funny that Varric was the one who said it was awkward. But most of the time what Anders says is sad Like when he says that he misses the time when he could be selfish. This won't end well, I just know it! But I like to dream of a happy ending:
Hawke: I'm sick of being a champion! Kirkwall stinks, let's go somewhere else.
Anders: To run away? Feels like I'm 20 again!
Hawke: My mother would be proud of us, you know.
Anders: Really?
Hawke: Yes. I'm following a family tradition. Running off with a Fereldan apostate.
Anders: And we will live happily ever after... until my Calling?
Hawke: And then we will go to the Deep Roads...
Anders: Kill me first.
Hawke: Aww, I'm sure some templars will ambush and kill us before that actually.
Anders: I love you for your optimism.

My DA2 ending was happy! Anders and my FemHawke have run off to have babies in exile somewhere.

@Surely, I love you! Thank you so much for happy Anders. I think I've seen him smirking, not even smiling, twice so far. First one was when Hawke had just met him and he said that he doesn't have to go to Grey Wardens parties and wear the uniform. And the second one was when we helped a boy who was a mage.
