Wouldn't you want to know what tricks he can do with electricity?

I think he's still doing magic. When he comes to Hawke's house at night, when he touches her face, it looks like his fingers are smoking a little. Or maybe it's another video glitch, I have so many!

There sure is a sort of glowing mist. My thought was that it was somehow connected to Justice, I don't know, maybe it was Anders trying to shut him up when he touched Hawke?  I thought that just because the mist was kinda bluish...Or maybe his powers where flowing rampant following his feelings that he couldn't control?

No idea, but the elecricity thing  totally conveyed me other, less romantic and chaste, thoughts :°D

@Dunizel, I thought it was "a touch of mana" like he called it in the short story, his healing magic. It's also blue.
I'm sure my Hawke and Anders are doing all sorts of magic in their bedroom. So, when Sebastian took our party to that cursed house and they saw that funny scene, I continued their dialogue in my head:

Sebastian: I'm sorry, Hawke, I didn't want to expose you to such things!
Varric: Bianca, cover your eyes, dear.
Hawke: Ah, come on! You should see what Anders and I do in our room. This performance just sucks!
Anders: I'm afraid nobody but templars likes to watch mages. And templars are not allowed in that room.
Varric: ... I need to write it down.

I thought Anders was more the Uni-bomber type then the Guy Fawks type. Most likely because I'm from Montana. Ha!

Unibombination?

Oh my, today I entered the Blooming Rose with Anders, and he said something starting like "If they try to hire me again..." He was clearly pissed off and just wanted to get out, but I don't remember the end of the phrase because I was too busy laughing at the thought they tried to make him work there :°D I will have to try again!

@Dunizel, he said that if they'll try to hire him, he will leave. And when you try to hire a ***, he says that Dr. Anders doesn't recomend, because some of them are his patients:)
He also says near the Hanged man that Justice doesn't allow him to get drunk anymore and he misses it. But he comes anyway to lose at cards to Isabela and tell Varric stories about Blackmarsh. :) I think he's bad at cards because Justice doesn't allow him to cheat too.

edit: I wondered why Anders' sexy times kind of lack sex, and got the answer in the act 3. Varric was asking Anders to tell him how it was and Anders refused. Then Varric said that he will have to make it up then. But I guess he just skipped that part when he was telling the story to Cassandra.

Varric: And then they had sex.
Cassandra: And you have nothing else to add?
Varric: I've asked Blondie, but he didn't tell me. I assume magic was involved, but I'm a dwarf, what do I know of such things? *shrugs*
Cassandra: You're hiding something.
Varric: Yes, of course. In the middle of the night right after they'd sworn to love each other forever they decided to burn Kirkwall and the Chantry. Feel better now?
Cassandra: *sigh* Go on with your story.

This, for so many reasons. The voice, of course. And...is it me, or is he about 8 bizmillion times sexier in DA2 than Origins? Holy Maker, I...er...my Hawke wanted to rip his armor off every scene he was in.

And, of course, yes, for the end. I was pretty much screaming at my screen begging Bioware not to make me kill Cullen. And then he backed down. He redeemed himself for his "All mages must die" attitude in Origins. Of all the characters they brought back, he was by far my favorite. They completely developed his character and made me as a fangirl squeeeee! :)

SPOILER

@Avayla, yes, when he let my crazy apostate party just go away I felt like probably a mother feels when she realises her little boy has grown up. I wonder if he does the same thing after crazy Cullen epilogue in Origins or he sides with the crazy harpy then. I'll start his fan thread in DAII forums when I get home.

Also, I've started a new Hawke. A mage, again. Just because I love Carver and I want to make him a templar this time and get 100% rivalry and see how this will affect Hawke/Anders relationships. I failed at that with Cassia because I didn't know that I couldn't just pick a spec for my brother and that he won't stay after the act 1. :(
It's also my US import with a mage boon. I'm curious to see how this all will end. Totally will skip all side quests this time, it's because of them it took me a week to finish my 1st playthrough.

No cheating doesn't justify (pun not intended, but hey, is so right to put it here!) that he is worst than Dog playing at cards according to Varric :D

And yeah, the "Kittenmarsh" dialogue made me laugh too, he is right!
To be honest Varric is maybe the only one that brings back the funny Anders, that I missed a lot...

@Dunizel, Varric is wonderful! I love him for being nice to Anders. He even helps him secretly, driving those bands away from his clinic. And the "Blondie" nickname is very cute. No wonder Anders is trying to give his pillow to Varric. Though, that moment was heartbreaking. When I saw it, I thought: "Now Anders will tell me that he has cancer and will die in a week or so. That's why he's in black."

Varric is definitely my favorite character. He's pretty much standard in my group because I love his banter with everyone. I couldn't stop laughing when he was making fun of Fenris and his brooding emo-ness. XD Plus, he's ALL heart. He cares about everyone, and hides behind the chest hair. And yea, I would totally romance him if he was an LI, but because of the story, I get why he isn't.

Velanna: Have I ever told you that I find most humans physically and morally repulsive?
Anders: Good to know!

Note to self: Next Hawke will be covered in tattoos.

Pfff, I tried to convince some people around that Anders is not a "terrorist"... waste of time :crying:
Maybe they should read some fanfictions to see my point of view ^_^
I don't mind, Anders and my Hawke will have many, many mage babies ../../../images/forum/emoticons/heart.png

(I'd really like to write english ... why did I slept at school?)

Not posted here before but I really got to like Anders during my 2nd playthrough of Awakening, which I then paused to play DAII, before concluding it last night. Anders was the first character I romanced on DAII. I felt I already had a connection with him and I liked his looks and character far better than the little I knew of Fenris (that hasn't changed even though I have played DAII). I didn't have Sebastian until act 3 of DAII so he was out of the picture first time round. I'm not sure which my 2nd female Hawke will go for out of those 2 - I think however she may actually kill poor Anders as I think she is going to be one of those mages who is actually pro-Templars. Either that or send him away...

@Morlanwen, *Finn mode on* terrorism has a goal to frighten people. Or at least that was an initial meaning of the latin word. Anders wanted to shake people, to make them think and act, so his goal was different. This doesn't justify the bloodshed, but it does separate him from modern terrorists, I think.

My Hawke has a secret tattoo somewhere so I can imagine this banter happening:

::Hanging out in the Dalish camp waiting on Merrill, Anders checks out a Dalish hunter with tattoos::
Anders: You know, I've always had a thing for women with tattoos
::long pause::
Anders: You should get a tattoo.
Hawke: I already have one
Anders: ::immediate interest::  Really?  Where?
Hawke:  You'll just have to find out, won't you?

Re the terrorism arguments, people are all triggery about what he did because of 9/11, I think, so they can't separate the DA2 world from the real world, even though Anders' actions are nothing like the acts of terrorism being perpetrated these days. It took me a couple of days to come to terms with the fact that I actually agreed with him, my political correctness kept trying to tell me I was wrong.

@Miri, I'm probably an awful person, but I had absolutely no issues with his actions. Probably because I grew up on novels about all types of revolutionaries XD It was such a huge part of our culture when I was a kid.
