Nice picture, Maker knows, I love that staff. When Sandal gave it to me in the Deep Roads, I was: "Ooooh, Anders, look, it's your lamppost!" For a moment it brought the good old Anders back.

I randomly replayed Anders' Act 2 romance bits this morning while I was eating breakfast and asked him the sandwich question at the end. I love his reaction, but I just can't imagine my Hawke asking him that in a regular playthrough...I like her sarcastic, but that just seems callous. "I love you." "Want a sandwich?"

Anders knows. His reaction says it all- he thinks it's amusing rather than mean.

Even better is when he asks to move in and Hawke's all "Way to kill the romance." <3 Sarcastic Hawke.

It took me a while to come around to the sandwich line, but now I love it. That part is very sweet, but it's also cloying if it's all fluff and his face is too adorable when he responds.

I don't know, it just seems like too tender of a moment to be that flippant. I could see it if they were a little further into the relationship, but not on that very first night.

Perhaps. I just like how normal it feels, for once, and it's a nice reminder (to me) that they've been friends for years and not everything is doom and gloom.

But like I said, I disliked it the first time I heard it. Like, a lot.

I wonder how hard the goodbye between Hawke and Anders would be when it's time for Anders to go on his Calling, since he still has the taint in him after all...

Gah I don't even want to think about it  his romance is tragic enough.  I also wondered if having a spirit in him, prolongs the taint, or even haults it.  I say that because Wynne's sprit was keeping the bad case of the deads from getting her, so anything is possible...I know I am dreamer.

Yep. Not to mention that Avernus himself is an example of how the Calling can be delayed. That would be an interesting aspect to explore for Anders - he knows the taint is still inside him, and he wants to be free of that as it's still something that's going to tie him down, especially as the Calling comes closer and closer. The further time progresses, the more desperate and determined he gets. Add in the romance factor, and there you go.

Apparently I do too.

My aggressive Hawke rival-manced him, and I imagine she had a thing for him ever since they first met.  She tried to bully him into submission (as she usually does when she meets new people... she's the alpha dog and people have to know it) and Anders snapped back with "Don't threaten me, little girl".  I just imagine her eyes went wide and she thought "Yes, sir!"

It was such a mean-sounding line coming from him, but I just loved it.  So did my Hawke.  We're sadists, apparently.

Just finished the 'finding Nathaniel' quest. Purposely brought Anders along, thought their banter would be the funniest in the whole world, considering how he adored embarrassing the hell out of the stoic rogue in Awakening.

Arh...but the dlg is too short! I want more bickering!

Thankfully, there are good people who put it on youtube. Anders explained the arrow in *his* neck I loved how Nate made an "I see dead people" face. )))

I don't think it's so much that you have a thing for being yelled at.....most people don't want a partner that lets you walk all over them. They want one that won't put up with your or anyone elses bull****. That's how I see it anyhow. I can't fully respect someone that won't stand up for themselves.
