Anders: You may call me Anders my dear lady.
Shepard: Wait, what?
Anders: Anders
Shepard: No, I got that part.
*Shepard, Morden and Grunt lean forward to peer up into the roof cavity*
Shepard: Was anyone else up there with you?
Anders: No, why do you ask?
Shepard: You didn't see a Drell?
Anders: No, I was alone.
*Shepard considers this*
Shepard: You killed all these men?
Anders: I might have..
Shepard: Do you have an incurable disease?
Anders: No
Shepard: Any past traumas that need dealing with?
Anders: No
*Shepard looks him over and likes what she sees*
Shepard: Heterosexual?
Anders: Yes
Shepard: Welcome aboard! I'll have Miranda moved out of her office immediately.
Meh best I could do but I made myself chuckle.

Hahaha, I would love this to happen in game. Mass Effect 2 is so boring! Anders is what it needs!Avilia wrote...

New page!
Anders in Leliana's battledress looks surprized:

Ooops, did I do that? (When the Architect suddenly died

My favourite Mass Effect party members are Grunt and Mordin. I like Garrus as well but he usually doesn't go with me on missions.
Grunt won my heart with his comment "Everyone gets a turn" when talking about enemies lining up to fight us.
Mordin is just gorgeous. His humour is so dry which I love and who doesn't love a singing mad scientist ;-)
I think that's most of the reason I like Anders - he's funny without being annoying about it. Appropriately humorous I suppose.

Must download Mass Effect 1 and 2 soon. Although when I'm going to get time to play it is anyone's guess.
It's on sale at the EA store this weekend apparently. 75% off ME1 and 40% off ME2 I think.

LOL How hard can it be to play video games with a toddler and a newborn? Isn't that the best time?

I have a great pic of me feeding her and playing Assassins Creed at the same time. I got roundly panned for it by my mother's group, but all my geeky friends understood.

Hey, I played all of the Final Fantasys when said Toddler was a newborn - she fed round the clock it was the ONLY thing I could do. Unfortunately I don't think she's going to let me do the same with this one.

I'm laughing so hard at this because I was like "Maybe the baby picked up some useful building scaling skills during that time." Obviously a geek AND not a mother.

Ahhh, I can't play them anymore. Every time I start I'm getting bored after 2 minutes, because, wtf, where's my joking templar with his rose? And where's my smirking mage with his smirk? And why can't I cast a crushing prison on that geth, he's so annoying! And I can't rotate the camera every way I want to to make funny screenshots. Mass Effect makes me sad. I gave all my savegames from the first part to my husband and was watching him playing the second part, so I had my share of fun after all
By the way, I have a crazy idea to name my third Hawke (I've picked the names for the first two already) after Anders, and he'll be awesome healer. Thus I will have my Anders in Dragon Age 2!
P.S. I was playing everything I could get since I was 5 or 7, and though it never prevented me from performing my social functions and doing homework at school, I ended up as crazy fangirl, so, Miri, be careful with your kids and make sure you teach them how to write good fanfics! XD

Some of my earliest memories are of my dad let me watch Wolfenstein 3D when he was watching me. He's never really had the best idea of child-appropriate material...LupusYondergirl wrote...
There are pictures of me sitting on my father's lap while he played atari at some point in the very early 1980s. I turned out all right. Well, mostly.

I killed Architect few hours ago. Well, actually Anders killed him. On the nightmare difficulty level. Anders was wearing Leliana's dress with the willpower runes, and his willpower was near 100, his magic - near 60. Architect couldn't resist his spells at all!!! When my Marina was casting, it was all "Resisted", "Resisted" and "Resisted"! And Anders totally kicked that big-bad-boss ass! Tore him into pieces! I'm getting more and more convinced that Anders is reborn Andraste who was sent by the Maker to save the world.

He certainly puts out a lot of damage for a healer. I haven't ever respec'd him and only give him healing spells and ability. And he still manages to do his fair share of damage.
I think you might be on to something Gala....

My build is healer/arcane warrior/battle mage with new Awakening branch for elemental mastery. My Anders doesn't fight with the sword, uses only staff, because no darkspawn is quick enough to reach the mage before his magic will burn/freeze to death/crush them.

Well, I took for him only first ability of arcane warrior, he doesn't need others, because they are for a close combat, and it's very difficult to get close to Anders without dying from his epic awesomness, I mean, epic damage!Miri1984 wrote...
I always have him healing and battlemaging, but the third spec always bothers me. I really don't use any of the other spells, so why bother? I think in my fanfic he'll eventually become an Arcane warrior, but only because he sees the practicality of armour, not because he actually wants to use any of the spells.

You can set his tactics as "Ranged" in the upper right corner of the tactics screen and he will use only staffs. Using swords is funny, but it requires to put all his points into magic and to turn on a lot of talents and it eats mana very fast. He's a good tank even without it, even on the nightmare, as I've seen when he was tanking an armored mega-boss ogreLupusYondergirl wrote...
I don't equip him with a sword when I do give him arcane warrior in-game since he'll start switching to it automatically. And it become swing-miss-swing-miss-swing-miss since his dex is too low without a respec.
