Lol, I've just said today that Anders would've never set himself on fire and then I've discovered this screenshot:

Oh, it's just my story. He's not doing anything, really. Well, besides making me cry.

I just played through TSP with my mage *incase there was more magey dialogue, but I didn't find any* and I can't find any mention of a son apart from Matthias. So unless Anders is like his half brother or something, I doubt it could be possible. Plus then where'd he get the magic from, unless his mother had lots of magic? *shrug* I dunno.

On the subject of fire, everytime I hear the convo where he and Oghren are taking the mick out of each other and Oghren's all like "Don't play with fire unless you're willing to get burned," I just want Anders to turn around and Flame Blast him. Posted Image

Posted Image SurelyForth, why is he making you cry? Posted Image I should probably read more fanfiction, actually, anyone have any recommendations? Posted Image

The community creation forum has a lot of stories and the fanfic synopsis listing thread has a ton of stories listed with the description, warning, pairing, status, link, ect.

I don't take that as a happy sign for the next chapter.  I must make sure to have tissues and chocolate on hand once its published

(Usually I would remove a screenshot that isn't directly pertinent to my post - but in this case - nah - he's too cute)

I love that one. And I really love him in that armor.

Just posted a chapter featuring the rarely occurring (well, in my fic) Righteous Rage Anders. Although I'm now wondering if I should find a way to write Happy Smut Anders to balance Surely's next chapter. (Just... give him a happy ending! He deserves to be HAPPY. Keep telling yourself that!!)

That's sorta what I'm dealing with, Righteous Rage Anders Who Is Trying Really Hard To Not Overstep His Bounds. Ah, sucks.

Maybe we can time something. From my private messages, your last chapter seemed to comfort a lot of people who I destroyed with mine.

I got a few messages like that too, from people who said they were glad to have something more cheerful to read after your chapter BROKE OUR HEARTS! (ahem. sorry.)

Funny how that works out, though.

My Righteous Rage Anders couldn't find boundaries even with a map. He just says what he wants. He usually leaves the rage to Maggie, though, so if he's actually angry enough to say something it's probably for the best if no one tries to stop him.

I actually WROTE some righteous rage Anders in response to Undertow. I can't do anything nasty to him at the moment. I figure the poor guy is getting everything nasty he needs from Surely. One of the reasons why Shades of Grey has stopped - he's not having the best time in that universe so I don't want to visit it for a while ;).

This amuses me. The most Alistair gets out of being tortured in my fic is a few of my Ali thread readers showing him some extra love in game. I actually told myself I was going to work on happy Anders fic this weekend, because I am not in a good place for Undertow, but not in a good place seems to be the best place at this point.

And I would imagine that on a normal day, Righteous Rage Anders wouldn't have any boundaries, but not having them now might seriously undermine his point.

Oh, well. This is what he gets for not running when he had the chance.

I guess I don't get so upset about Alistair being tortured in your fic because it comes out of a game decision that I'll never make, so I can rationalise it? Maybe? Not that I don't feel bad for Alistair as well, but he ... kind of deserves it! Whereas Anders is just the innocent caught in the middle of Brand and Alistair's screw ups who's going to get hurt just for LOVING people *lip wobble*.

He's so my hero.

Thinking about Undertow without a happy ending makes my stomach feel funny.

I agree with Miri - in that world I don't really care if Alistair isn't happy but Anders :(

I'm at work so can't post the sad eyes picture of Anders. So here's a placeholder for later:

Edit - not as good as Gala's art, but as promised - here's Anders with puppy dog eyes.  Begging Surely to give him a happy ending.  Begging I tell you!

Yep, seconded on both these :) And now I've forgotten who asked for recommendations, but to whomever it was, definitely read both of those to start you off, then just go on from there :)

Ditto.  Although maybe not a too unhappy Alistair.  He was in such a bad place at beginning of the story, i felt very sorry for him.  But
Anders>Alistair (IMOO)
Anders relationship with Bryce & Brand is so wonderful throughout the story.  Go Anders!!

And I will agree that happy Anders is the best thing and sad Anders is...not the best.

Surely, make him happy, please? At least in your next fic. Pleeeeeeeease?

Oh, I've finished Dry your Wings, I think I'll start reading Undertow. I hope I won't be impressed enough to make Cullen die at his Joining :(

Gala, make sure you have lots of tissues next to you for Undertow. I've cried more reading that fic than any other.

Much better than my screen cap.  Well, better in the sense that its a gorgeous pic, not that he's sad.
