I think embarrassing Nathaniel is Anders' main aim in life. That and possibly making Sigrun laugh. I so want those two shipped together. Trying to work it into Shades, but Aedan keeps stealing the show. I wasn't MEANT to like that guy!

Nate reminds me of Alistair when he talks to Anders. I'm just waiting for Natty to say "Awkward!" I don't know why, but Nate seems so innocent to me, my orlesian commander kind of adopted him
And Anders I think was supposed to remind us of Zev, but I'm absolutely immune to Zev and completely defenceless against Anders. Anders despite all his hints about his glorious sexual life has this aura "I'm your best friend and you can tell me everything and though I think you're remarkably lovely and I'm 100% in love with you, I won't lure you into my bed with massage and I won't tell you stories about my unhappy life and I won't try to pretend that I'm cold-blooded murderer. Actually I won't try to pretend at all, you may like me or you may not (though I prefer the former), I will tell you if I disagree with your decisions but I will never blame you for anything, I won't judge you and I definitely won't try to kill you. Ever! You maybe an ass sometimes but you're still my friend and I like to have you alive".

I can see the Zev connection. I am far more likely to romance him than Alistair, though. (and in KOTOR 2 I'm team Atton all the way, so I clearly dig on the bad boys). They both have a sort of flamboyant, carefree attitude despite what has been a fairly difficult life. And the long blond hair, of course. They're fairly similar, but Anders is far more 'heart on his sleeve' while Zevran has that whole 'I'm an assassin who cares for nothing' attitude as a self-defense mechanism.

I've only ever romanced Zev with male characters, mainly because I can't leave Alistair alone if I'm playing a female and Morrigan and Leliana just don't do it for me, whereas Zev does.

I think Anders was meant to bare similarities with Alistair. David Gaider once wrote this, in regards to the Alistair rose scene:

LupusYondergirl, "heart on his sleeve" -- that's exactly what I think about Anders! I like his sincerity and how he makes terrified face when unjust things are happening. It makes me want to be a superhero warden and save everyone and everything.
P.S. I liked Atton in KotOR2 too, until I was told that Mical has Anders' voice... Now I must replay it, because I don't remember anything about that guy except him being blonde and awesome mage... err, jedi.

He doesn't do the voice credit. At all. And if you play as a girl and he's a party member you never find out he has a name besides 'Disciple.'

Songlian, oh I remember this! I was 200% Ali's fangirl back then and I thought: "Noooo, David Gaider is cheating on Alistair whith some skinny mage! My heart is broken!" And then I met Anders and... now Ali is eternal virgin when I'm playing Origins. All my female wardens are Anders' property now.

Wow, he must not.  I just played that like six months ago and totally couldn't even tell.

It's weird, but I've never been an Alistair fangirl. I am, however, very fond of the remaining Theirin blood line. Maric? Check! Cailan? Double check! Which means that if Anders proves to be Fiona's son, I'll have a scientific explanation for it.

Actually you could if you made certain dialogue choice and there was a scene he was talking to Carth Onasi over the holo.  Smexy Carth addressed him 'Mical'.

It's not a different choice, it's a different gender. If you play as a guy he for some reason chooses not to go with you and instead you get the cutscene of the Disciple being referred to as Mical.

Then I should be happy that I had never, for once, played a male Jedi. Couldn't leave Atton alone, you see.

I couldn't remember how exactly I did it. But somehow I got that scene as a female Exile.

I want a mod for Mical which would change his hairstyle into ponytail. Or I'll be dreaming of having the true women friendship with Visas again. Because though Attone is cute, he's too irresolute.

Oooh, LIKE is not a strong enough word. This is FANTASTIC. I love the smirk. He reminds me of a guy I went to uni with in that outfit - total and UTTER flirt and .... rather lovely actually, but he knew how to dress, and boy could he MOVE... Mmmm.
