He really looks like he's enjoying the rain here. Ah, freedom!

Don't be sad, Miri. I am here. I am watching with great interest!

We finally got boardband at home! Now I can play some decent DLC!

I love the expression on his face there. You can tell, despite the darkspawn just around the corner, when he tells you "I'm pretty good" he doesn't just mean with the darkspawn-killing magic.

I got fanart for my fic, but I'll link since it's just Maggie without Anders. But she's looking for suggestions of specific Maggie/Anders scenes to draw, so if you're a reader and have an idea go suggest it. I don't think I could pick just one.

(and yeah, I'm totally pimping that everywhere.)

Cullen-comic has totally emptied my head and my arm is aching like if I was lifting weight all day, but I have a screenshot. Anders says: "Objection! Your Honour, whatever these templars might claim, I'm completely innocent! Well, not all parts of me, but... I didn't do it!"

His face is just good. It has so much character (which is all the more reason that PS3 Anders is a crime against everything right in this world).

So where is his headmorph in the game files? I've been wondering how to do that since I didn't think the awakenings files were in the toolset.

It's the face file you can get to if you access the game through your Program Files. Just open up the Face .erf in the toolset by going to dragon age origins/packages/core_ep1/data and scroll down through the list to find whatever morph you want, then extract it.

You can't really edit the Awakening morphs (besides hairstyles and coloring) but you can rename them without incident.

I agree about the face - they did something in Awakenings to facial expressions - they're so much better than the Origins ones - even your PC shows emotion occasionally which is nice.

The thing I love most about (or want to gush about, because I love everything!) is the line of his jaw. Wow. Chiseled perfection.

Sigrun's mouth is another example- I love watching it when she talks.

This is still my favorite moment that I would never see unless I was playing with dialogue:

Can I just say that I was messing around in the Silverite Mines earlier and the stupid inventory bug that causes me to have to allow my PC to be captured in the nude Gave Me An Idea for an Anders' story/scene that is so much better than what I'm currently working on (which is Alistair oriented and depressing). The mage is taking over my brain (and having his way with my muse, natch)!

The only words that I got out of that post, Surely, were "Anders" "Nude" and "Scene."

It's early. But now I'm excited!

My brain is still on the Angry!Anders I wrote last night.

And his jawline.

Mmmm... yep. I'll be blushing and staring off into space on that for a while. (and I think someone just completely went off on me in the fanfic thread and am VERY CONFUSED.)

I'm seriously considering doing a separate one-shot for this. I could get it to work within Undertow, but it's really indulgent and would probably make some of my readers punch me through the interwebs. I'm going to just start writing and see what happens.

As long as it is were a happy nude scene I'm sure people would be too busy being thrilled at proof that these peoples' lives don't suck all the time to worry about anything like that. Posted Image

On that note, why must these peoples' lives suck all the time? Posted Image

Well, there are those who don't care for the Anders aspect of it, is all.

As for their lives sucking...it's just how things were conceptualized. I had two stories in my head- one in which Alistair was exiled and all the crap he went through when that happened. Then I had another story about the PC who exiled him, what happened to her and how she moved on from what she felt was the worst thing she could possibly do to a person. So, when I decided to merge them, I knew it was always going to be about a lot of regret, guilt and frustration. I also knew that things wouldn't be easy for them, and that Alistair's recovery wouldn't happen overnight.

What I didn't know when was that I would have any success with fleshing out the characters and their relationships. This sounds absolutely stupid, but when I wrote the outline ages ago, I imagined everything being much more detached, so certain plot points didn't seem as momentous or sad when I started. Now, when I actually write them, it's *sob* and I need my friends to hold me. I've already cut out a few things that were just too much, and I'm hoping the end makes all of the suck seem somewhat worthwhile.

Seriously. I am all for Brand and Anders having a fun couple hours. Without pants. They deserve it.

I was going to let Nate babysit. Nate and Bryce are actually cute together, in my head, and it would placate a few someones who think that my Nate is too crankypants (he is). We just can't tell him why he's on child duty.

Not to worry, it's been sorted out and deemed a misunderstanding. Posted Image
