I took Pie/Cake or Sex to Twitter, sort of, and got a mixed response (two said sex because cake/pie was more readily available). I also got linked to an awesome looking recipe for pear pie, so that was nice. (I told my boyfriend this morning he was lucky that I let him sleep through the night and that he didn't wake up to a kitchen full of baked goods. His response was "Lucky?")

And the reason I even mention this is because it reminds me of the best thing I have ever written, which was a paper entitled Chafing the Wax and Other Masculine Identity Crises. It was an analysis of a medieval tale about a man whose wife hated him and brought home another more virile man. The husband ended up sitting in the corner, chafing a candle in frustration while he watched this other man eat his wife's delicious pie. I've decided that Anders, at some point, needs to tell this story at dinner, possibly in front of mixed company (and Nathaniel, always Nathaniel).

And about that story you mentioned, I'd love to read in your fanfics how Anders would tell it! But it would be cruel to tell such story in front of a lady Cousland who is married... or in front of her husband XD

LOL It would be incredibly cruel! I imagine him telling it when they get to Highever. Fergus' wife is a bit of a priss and antagonizing her is something of a sporting event for all of them.
