I'm fangirling all over the place, as per usual. Totally and utterly addicted to fanart now. I swear if I could draw I'd be doing nothing else. For those of you not looking at Deviant Art:

It's probably a good thing I can't draw. I mean, I already spend far too much time writing as it is. If I could draw as well...I likely would do nothing else.

I started college as an art major, but... considering how deeply addicted to fanfic I became once I started, I won't let myself go down the fanart path, too. I'd get NOTHING done, ever.

(Yes, switching to Early British Lit was my "responsible" decision.)



Now I'm torn... bust out my last chapter, or fire up KOTOR 2 since I just got the pc version, spent most of the day downloading mods, and can now finally see the restored content (since I only owned the xbox version before). Anders is calling me, but I think Atton might be louder...

In my case the calling to draw was stronger than the calling to write (and I'm happy, I'm terrible in writing, because my hand is too slow to follow my thoughts and I started to forget my local language because now I use english more often).

And I certainly wouldn't have any time for raising children or going back to work (which yes I DO plan to do eventually, although how I'll be able to cope with 9-5 and no Anders I have NO idea) if I did fanart as well. Something to start up in my (hopefully early) retirement.



Maybe I need to quit teaching and go back to a PA job so I can continue to waste time at a computer during the day.

No worries. I've got like three major plot events before it finishes still. Chapter is up, I decided it's just too late to start a new game now. (since it's after 4 am where I am. I'm a night owl. I need to start forcing myself into a normal schedule soon, though, since I start classes on the 30th.) Tomorrow, though, me and Atton are going to get reacquainted.

@miri - I love your commission by PayRoo!!! I just love her work. I think this is the first time I've seen her do Anders. I love him Whatever you told her, it came out looking great.

Makes me wish she was still accepting commissions. I got my Amell with Alistair, now I need my Surana with Anders! And thank you for the review on FF. I tried to write back, but something went screwy. I'm not used to it there.

I'm pretty much in awe of all the writers on here -- everyone can get out stories so regularly, that are so good!

Anders does make a pretty good muse, though. He just loooves for people to talk about him. Or draw him. Or write about him. Or smutify him -- my favorite

AOE spells are so cool, but Sigrun and whoever I've got as tank always end up on fire or dead from lightning whenever I use them. I hate having to switch weapon sets or tell them to stay put and always forget.

Brand is virtually indestructible, even on Nightmare, so in Awakening I just don't worry about it (I imagine Sigrun wishes I would, though...). It just makes for fun screens:

You can cast the force field on your tank before you'll cast something deadly on the area. That's what usually saves Alistair's life in my games.

Although not directly Anders related, I'm pimping. I posted the first two chapters of Maggie's blight storyline here.



And I am obsessively hitting the "hold position" button to keep everyone from darting into my aoe spells. You'd think they could make an AI smart enough to realize walking into a fifty foot column of fire is bad.

One of the presets SAYS that your characters will flee the area of a harmful area effect spell, but I've never seen it actually WORK.

I'm horrible.  I use a "No Friendly Fire" mod.

I'm really not a fanfic author, creative writing is not my strength.  Give me academic writing, and I'm really good.  Creative writing is a whole 'nother critter.  Yes, I must admit that Anders, Nate, Zevran and Alistair are weaknesses for me.  I love Anders' attitude, though, and happily devour any fanfic about him.  Thank you all who take on that challenge!  <3

Sandtigress, Wedger, aww, just you wait till I finish it. I don't know how long it will take though, because I'm hiding it from my husband. He has an allergy to Anders. But he must be happy that I've started to sleep at least.

(And yay, it's finally raining and the smoke from burning woods and peat swamps has gone! I'm so happy that I just want to share )))
