Mmm. I downloaded Golems and I'm going to do it, but I'm so sick of playing rogues and the only characters I have who are even halfway strong enough to play are rogues sooo....

New Neria playthrough for me! I was going to go through with my Brosca but - over it, love the story, hating the gameplay.

Mages rock, I'd forgotten how much fun they were. And when we get to Awakenings.. she's going to have so much fun with Anders. (probably still going to romance Alistair during Origins though). I realised I've only done the Mage origin twice - my first ever character and Alim. Needed to be rectified considering how many times I've done the human noble :).

I've done the mage origin close to twenty times. They're hard for me to roleplay, which is why I only have two types: super-competent asskissers who are focused on doing everything right so they can get the hell out of the tower (a hunger for power is usually part of this) and my adorable wh*res who are a little flaily, emotionally stunted and (as it has went for all three of them) way into Leliana.

I've yet to import any of my mages to Awakening because it's easy enough with one, I think two would be way too much (as it is, when I have Velanna for the Silverite Mines, I don't give anyone their gear back until we reach the dragons). I might try Lu Amell just so I can see one of these LI letters in action.

I haven't gotten GoA yet. From what I've heard, it might be a blow to Brand's ego to have to go back down to normal or (gasp) easy.

I can't even count how many times I've done the mage origin. I usually play mages when I play tabletop RPGs, too, though. I'm so predictable.

:P I only done the human noble and rougue once, Dalish twice and the rest are mages. I love mages to bits. They are damn powerful!

I would have never stopped playing mages if I didn't decide that I was in love with the how badass the reavers in Haven looked. I still have three mages in the wings, but DW warriors have become my obsession.

Apropos of nothing, I'm thisclose to changing the summary of my story to: "Warden-Commander Brand Cousland's life is a clusterf*ck, but doing Anders is pretty awesome. PS. Poor Alistair" It's both catchy and true!

I killed the thread! Oops.

Here's an Anders (don't mind the Duncan armor, I accidentally sold all the robes):

Posted Image

I call this "Note to self: The Commander is easily distracted by statuary"/"Note to self: The mage thinks I have no peripheral vision."

Gotta say, Anders looks pretty hot in Duncan's armor...

And you know, in my mind, that is what a battlemage's robes SHOULD look like. Long like a robe, with belts like a robe, but clearly, you know, ARMORED.

Yeah, they're perfect battlemage robes. I just wish I could recolor them because it's a little too much on him, with the armor and the hair and the earring. I could see Alistair showing up and falling in love or something.

Laugh!

Now there's a twist you haven't added to your fic yet, Surely! ;)

LOL No, it was totally there a few chapters ago, when Brand was wondering if Alistair attracted mages, then she had a thought about Alistair and Anders, and the following chapter when she was wondering if Anders had done something, my brain was totally stuck on Alistair and Anders and it took me forever to remember that he had been talking to a girl downstairs!  XD

Personally I think both Alistair and Anders are too fond of the opposite sex (I would say fairer, but really, we're talking about Alistair and Anders here) to really fall for each other, but with those robes...

I remember there was a comment on a thread somewhere that both Duncan and Anders wore earrings, so they must be teh gay. Skewed logic is the bigot's friend.

On the other hand, I don't think Anders would object to a little dabbling, but I think it would be strictly in the threesome vein rather than just a single man. He's pretty open minded :).

Yeah, that earring thing made me rage for a while.

And agreed on the second point. And staring into the middle distance and blushing, don't mind me.

Varel is obviously being told that there just isn't room for a fourth.

^ Lol. Mind you, I always thought Varel was a bit hot - in the Jaw Like A Lantern way. Seriously, you could crush whole civilisations with it.

And mmm. That Anders/Nathaniel/Cousland fic comes to mind and suddenly it's a little hot in here...

Yay, Nate came back to my join lady Cousland. Anders showed his jedi abilities again and said that he senses a knive in Sari's back in the future ))) He probably was worried tha king Alistair will holysmite him if the Queen returns home with too many scars (unlike Brand Sari is stealthy roguish queen and rarely takes damage).

Am I the only one who thinks that Anders looks like Gambit from X-men here?

Another one: Wade made Anders to fall asleep:

As a Bruce Campbell fan, I can overlook a jaw when it's attached to someone I like. I really like Varel, so much so that I have to write him as a father figure lest my mind start to wander. I like him so much that I refuse to acknowledge that he can die in Awakening. He's just taking a nap and will feel so silly for doing that kind of melodramatic last gasp thing.

So with the Bruce Campbell image, you now have me imagining Varel holding aloft the Joining Chalice saying "THIS IS MY BLOOD CUP!"

I actually thought he survived. I had no doubts he did, even made him appear in my post Awakening comic. But then I'd started GoA and recieved a message from seneschal Garevel and that was painful. :( I hope it was a bug, I must re-play that game.

Garavel? The ass who stole Bann Teagan's hot voice for his own not hotness? Oh, that is just so not cool...<_<

And Miri, I am still laughing at the image of Varel as Ash that you have painted in my head.

Um, Varel went on a short leave, that's all.  That must be it.  The Warden sent him on holiday and Garevel is only temporary!!

(I have a bit of a crush on Varel too....)

Varel is taking a well earned rest in the warm climes of Antiva.

I won't hear a word of anything else.

I did find a mod that recolors the armor on Nexus:  www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php

It's a darker version and only available for human males.  I agree that Anders looks awesome in Duncan's armor, though.  *happy sigh*
