I can think of a reason for each and every one of them to jump on the Anders train, though.

You know, I did the Leliana romance once and that eyelash thing creeped me out so much I never did again. Since I almost always play female characters I forget there are options besides Zevran and Alistair.

I love the eyelash line, but I also like how sweet the femPC/Leliana romance is all around. Especially since playing Leliana's Song, I really appreciate how much she has to let go of to be with someone and feel that goofy comfortable around them.
Of course, this brings me to one of the reasons why I would love for Anders to be an actual LI- because he has a healthy attitude towards sex and doesn't seem to have any underlying issues with it. I guess Alistair's is just indoctrination and he gets over it fairly easily, but still. Between Zevran's damage and Leliana's damage, sometimes a girl just wants to be with someone who isn't damaged, or who doesn't need a special bond. Just something fun.

And you've just summed up the entire basis of the relationship in my fic. I mean, there's emotions and whatnot NOW, but that came later. All of it was originally built entirely on a strong foundation of "wow, I really want to f--- this person like nobody's business."
I really should get going on that smut I planned to write today...

I should read more Cullen fics because I have no idea how people get around Cullen's pesky oath of celibacy and the fact that Lily dating a mage was enough to get her sent to Aeonar. Do fics actually address that, try to hide the relationship, or just gloss right over it?
Oh, that would work. We know from Alistair's own recruitment experience that the Grand Cleric was okay with letting a Templar join the GWs although there would likely be all sorts of complications regarding lyrium addiction and the possible expectation of spying.SurelyForth wrote...

Conscription seems to be a popular choice.

Or just take Sigrun instead... I always get the impression that femBrosca swings both ways.

If fanfiction didn't exist, I'd have to invent it, simply for the purpose of getting Anders into a romance. I wasn't fussed about the lack of romances in Awakenings when I first got it because I was totally going to be faithful to Alistair forever, but in the end... well. Now I don't even blink at the possibility of breaking Ali's heart. It's all "see you later lover! Hot mage action over here!"

Yes, I AM planning on doing the pre-hospital part of my labour on a fitball playing dragon age. My husband thinks I'm mad.
