If fanfiction didn't exist, I'd have to invent it, simply for the purpose of getting Anders into a romance. I wasn't fussed about the lack of romances in Awakenings when I first got it because I was totally going to be faithful to Alistair forever, but in the end... well. Now I don't even blink at the possibility of breaking Ali's heart. It's all "see you later lover! Hot mage action over here!"

Edited for TOP. Hey, this can be on every page, right?

Zev is perfect for my ****ty but emotionally stunted Amell. Particularly since the first qualification on her list is "not a templar." Surana had no such qualms and loved Alistair from the moment he was so happy to see her alive after leaving Flemeth's hut. And she found Zevran a bit skeezy.

My Aeducan was driven nuts by Alistair's idealism and jumped on Zevran so fast I'm amazed she didn't break her pelvis in the process. My Tabris and Brosca were totally taken in by the innocent charm and sweetness of the Chantry-boy, though. I think they were both starved for kindness and amazed he wasn't all "hey you're short" to them.

My dalish went with zev by default, not that she particularly liked him, but since just couldn't imagine actually kissing a human. He won her over in the end, though.

I can think of a reason for each and every one of them to jump on the Anders train, though.

Heh. Both of my Amells would resist him- one because he's a dude and one because she has a stick up her ass about mages, especially those who act in ways that might make things harder for the rest of them. I'm sure the dislike would be mutual.

My Mahariel is a dude, my Tabris hates humans and my Brosca, again, totally gaybones for Leliana. That leaves Aeducan which...she might step out on Zev for that, although she loves the idea of being Queen of the Crows.

Now I'm imagining a Ron Mahariel/Sigrun/Anders thing and it's making me blush a little.

If I EVER finish my Tabris she's going to marry Alistair off to Anora and spare Loghain. She's a non-romance person, although she'll do tent time with Zev.

Brosca and Ali are a cute match I think, although again, I can totally see Brosca dumping Al for Nate or Anders once she gets to Awakenings.

You know, I did the Leliana romance once and that eyelash thing creeped me out so much I never did again. Since I almost always play female characters I forget there are options besides Zevran and Alistair.

My Brosca would avoid Nate like he was made out of poison. After getting dumped by Alistair she wants nothing to do with anyone who carries anything resembling a title or noble blood. She would, however, probably offer to arm-wrestle Sigrun for Anders.

Or just take Sigrun instead... I always get the impression that femBrosca swings both ways :).

I love the eyelash line, but I also like how sweet the femPC/Leliana romance is all around. Especially since playing Leliana's Song, I really appreciate how much she has to let go of to be with someone and feel that goofy comfortable around them.

Of course, this brings me to one of the reasons why I would love for Anders to be an actual LI- because he has a healthy attitude towards sex and doesn't seem to have any underlying issues with it. I guess Alistair's is just indoctrination and he gets over it fairly easily, but still. Between Zevran's damage and Leliana's damage, sometimes a girl just wants to be with someone who isn't damaged, or who doesn't need a special bond. Just something fun

Yes. Sex is fun and we often forget that when we're embroiled in romance. It has to be all meaningful and poignant. I'm sure Anders can DO meaningful and poignant but he'd be quite happy with a quick f---- too.

And you've just summed up the entire basis of the relationship in my fic. I mean, there's emotions and whatnot NOW, but that came later. All of it was originally built entirely on a strong foundation of "wow, I really want to f--- this person like nobody's business."

I really should get going on that smut I planned to write today...

I think my Queen Cousland is the only character who is still faithful to Alistair. Others are dead (I'm big US fan!) or with Anders or Cullen XD

Another roguish Anders, this place reminds me of KotOR:

I should read more Cullen fics because I have no idea how people get around Cullen's pesky oath of celibacy and the fact that Lily dating a mage was enough to get her sent to Aeonar. Do fics actually address that, try to hide the relationship, or just gloss right over it?

Conscription seems to be a popular choice.

Oh, that would work. We know from Alistair's own recruitment experience that the Grand Cleric was okay with letting a Templar join the GWs although there would likely be all sorts of complications regarding lyrium addiction and the possible expectation of spying.

Love doesn't always ends with sex. My Surana (the one who didn't die) is 200% loyalist, she's trying to fight with her feelings, but in the end she returns to the Tower to be closer to her Cullen and help him to be better knight-commander. I have a feeling she will achieve -100 disapproval with Anders.

And Rhia Amell conscripted Cullen. That's what my fan-comic is about :) It's still wip.

My fem!Brosca did. She ended up with Zev, since they both could understand one another -- but she'd probably hit on Sigrun if I ever brought her into Awakening. I mean, Zev did leave her to go to Antiva... you gotta love the one you're with!

And, just because...

I'm so in love with and saddened by this picture. How can he be so hot, and yet break my heart at the same time?!

I also want to steal it and rewrite a portion of my story to make him be bound by rope instead of manacles when Rylock takes him. He was already topless, so... that works.

I think getting Cullen out of the Tower is a very good idea, considering what he went through there. I don't like the idea of him sticking around mages.

It's going to be interesting when Neria and Anders meet up with him. I want to make this Cullen NOT broken, but I think he's got to be at least a little damaged.

hahaha! That has been the reaction of every mage I've played. Like, come on Anders, do you WANT to destroy my reputation? These people are supposed to take me seriously, don't be blabbing dirty tower secrets around OGHREN of all people!

I haven't had that conversation with a mage there yet - looking forward to it. If I can make my way through this freaking mage origins playthrough. I'm actually looking forward to labour as I'll get some computer time without a toddler pulling me away for cuddles, despite the crushing pain.

Yes, I AM planning on doing the pre-hospital part of my labour on a fitball playing dragon age. My husband thinks I'm mad.

Miri, you are mad! )))

BTW I'm really puzzled, because Anders recognized my orlesian mage and Wynne didn't. I wonder if this was a glitch or Anders really had been to Orlais at least once? I can imagine them sitting in cages in the cellar, Anders is 22, Marina is 16, he's trying to flirt with her, but she's too innocent to understand it.

Eventually she's getting tired of his chatter and says: "If I unlock your door will you find your way out of this fortress? You make make head ache, shem!" Anders is shocked: "You can unlock the doors? Why are you still here?" Marina shrugs: "Where am I supposed to go? I have no money and I have no idea where I can get them. No legal way at least. And here I have food and the bed is much more comfortable than in orphanage" She uses the Force and unlocks his door. "Now go, I wasn't joking about the headache. I'm going to sleep until templars deside I'm calm enough to be let out"

And Anders escapes again XD

I would thought your baby should be out by now, there are several times I actually suspected you did.

My older one were induced and my younger ones were c-sect'd (giggle), so no chance of me playing anything on fitball, such a shame.

I want a Wi-Fi, and a 'datapac' (my nickname for ipad), then I can chase my younglings around the house while playing games.:wizard:
