lol, I thought it was my Surana too, the elf with ears, too bad she died :(

I thought about Mary Kirby because of that old post about Sten with kitty ears. But maybe hats with kitty ears are a common thing in Ferelden )))

Edit: Here's a picture to start a new page:

Ahhh, here we go, found it!

To go
back on subject....I'm assuming you wrote Ser Pounce-a-lot too, David?
Because I did that for 10 or 15 minutes straight the first night I had
the game....

Yes, Ser Pounce-a-lot is my doing --
though Sheryl named him. I couldn't think of anything.

"Sheryl,
what should I name Anders' cat?"
"Anders has a cat?"
"Yeah."
*thinks*
"Ser Pounce-a-lot!"
"You're kidding."
"Well... you asked me."
*thinks*
"Fine. But I'm blaming you."

Thanks for the info, Sandi, I think I wasn't following this forum back then.

The name of the cat is awesome. Even ridiculously awesome considering that according to urbandictionary.com the word "pounce" has sexual implication. (Though my friends keep telling me that every word in urban dictionary has sexual implication)

I noticed that Anders lip-synchs to Ser Pounce-a-lot's meows. Weird!

Not enough Anders on this page. Do you think I risk thread shutting down if I spam this picture? I really think it SHOULD be on every page:

Would it be weird if I told everyone I dreamt about this last night? It was a GOOD dream.

Hot damn. Now I want to lick him.

Not sure if it was an accidental or deliberate borrowing, but there is a cat named Ser Pounce in Song of Ice and Fire, too. Probably accidental, judging by Gaider's comments.

Maybe accidental inspiration- there's a LOT of stuff that reminds me of Song of Ice and Fire in DA

Fun with math!

The Picture + The Soul Destroying Tedium That Is My Job = A short story outline detailing Anders and Mistress Brand and their depraved misadventures in "this is the best worst idea ever" and the tavern wench who gets unwittingly caught in the middle.

I feel like I should give Sweetfoxy money for introducing The Picture into my life, even though I still find it confusingly hot.

The Picture has completely undone me. COMPLETELY.

I swear, it'll go down in legend. We can find out Anders is a confirmed companion and romance for DA2 (pleasepleaseprettyplease?) or something and we'll still be melting over The Picture.

Mmm. An Anders DLC would be sooo good. Might even have room for some bound and captured screen time...

Yum.  Do you think they could use The Picture in the DLC?

Hell, The Picture could be the DLC and I'd buy ten copies.

It will be the easiest money BioWare ever made. The Picture, a couple lines of flirty dialogue, a reference to Ser Pounce-a-lot and blammy. Gold.

I would love to have an expansion which would continue Awakening and where you could romance Anders, Nate or Sig :) But it's probably impossible because all these guys can die :(

I don't think it's a problem - I mean, not ALL of them would die... And can't Oghren die in Origins? They don't seem to mind too much :).

Since all the deaths are offscreen or in the epilogue, they can easily be shrugged off.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling especially delusional, I like to tell myself that the reason there's no toolset access for Awakening is because there's vestigial content that they might build upon in the form of DLC or another expansion. Like sexy content.

I get upset about Awakening because the reactions to it were so negative - people really, REALLY dumped on it. I can't understand why they didn't like the characters or the gameplay and I think a lot of people who played it just went "Oh, there's no Alistair/Morrigan/Lelli or Zev so I'm just going to sulk in a corner and not bother to try to get to like it".

I really enjoyed it the first time I played it. Yes, there were some rushed bits but I wasn't expecting another DA:O, I was expecting an expansion and hey ANDERS was in it so really I got more than I'd ever dreamed of!

I blame the bugs (and there were a TON) and the crappy conversation system. I, for one, would have preferred to talk to my party members directly, not be there while they were talking to a tree or a statue and occasionally comment.

See, the bugs didn't affect me. Apart from the Sigrun personal quest, which was a bit of a big bug I'll admit, none of them hit me at all. It seems strange that people could get through it without bugs - obviously they are not universal otherwise the Silverite Mines would have happened to me along with a heap of other ones that I've heard mentioned, but the only one that did was the Sigrun personal quest. What's with that?

Also I found the conversation system quite fun - and a good way not to run out of dialogue early in the game. With Origins, once I found out you could have dialogue I was constantly clicking on my companions and ended up with no dialogue left by the time I reached the second quest. It made the rest of the game a bit annoying for that character and it's really, REALLY hard to stop myself from doing it when I'm playing, which means I end up giving up half way through a lot of my characters. In Awakenings - haven't got to all the dialogue options yet! Well, I have with Anders, but not with the others.

I enjoy Awakening on its own merits, but feel pretty blah about the party interaction and thus to me it represents a missed opportunity with a lot of characters who interest me but ultimately are not well drawn. And it is frustrating to me that there is no way for me to get inside their heads even if I wanted to. It seems like a missed opportunity. But, it was an expac so I've come to accept that's just not what it was intended to be.

I think a mix of the origins and awakening conversation system would be ideal, really. Still being able to talk to people, but new conversations that only trigger in certain locations or after specific events, too.

I think in this particular case the conversation system was OK. Because the commander doesn't have much time to chat with his/her new friends, there's darkspawn threat, people are dying all around the arling, and we must act quickly, not try to bed Anders XD Though if Awakening could be longer, I would prefer to talk to my team directly.

And I love the party banter. Velanna and Justice are one of my favourite, because she eventually agrees with him and gives humans the second chance. And I love the conversation between Anders and Velanna when he tells her about Rylock. Hell, I love all conversations with Vel, she's adorably wild. :)

Yes, like it was with Sten in Origins!

And as I said earlier, I really miss the option to hug Anders or discuss his claustrophobia with him when he mentions it. Or to feed him with cake.
