I don't know, I only played my Cousland and was more into the Nate interaction than Anders.  I imagine he would ahve some nice lines with a Mage?

Once young Ceridwen has finished off the AD she can travel to Amaranthine and see to the Mother.

I'll make a point of keeping an eye (ear?) out for extra dialogue.

That depends: how does she feel about the Tower? If she hated it and he's escaped so often then that's a possibility.

I always think of Anders as actually not being in the Tower often enough for any of the mage PCs to know him - he's older and he spent most of his time either in solitary or escaping...



Anders interacts really well with Velanna - there are some classic conversations there, it's almost a pity they kind of make each other obsolete in battle (I only ever take Anders, you don't need two mages in Awakening). He's also got some really cute lines with Sigrun, and Justice and he have an interesting discussion about the nature of demons. Basically he's good with anything...

That depends: how does she feel about the Tower? If she hated it and he's escaped so often then that's a possibility.

Her feelings about the Tower can be summed up in two words "Annulment Invoker" ;-)

There is a line as a mage where you recognize eachother -- so I did play like I'd had a bit of a crush on him as the older rebel who kept escaping the tower. You know there has to be gossip about it

Of course, I'm biased too -- I keep Anders with me almost all the time in the game, I just <3 him too much.

The last time I did the mage origin, I so wished he was around. When that PC sees him in Awakening, she's going to be like- "Where were you? You keep talking about trysts in the tower and all I got was that templar following me around."

Obviously, I'm pretending like she knew of him and probably had a small crush and, considering the options presented in Origins, who wouldn't?

I'm always sad now when I do a mage origins, and he's not there.  If he were an option, he would so be my main man.

There's a mage apprentice who sets himself on fire in the library, he sounds like Anders  But he's ugly, and that is sad indeed <_<

Guess we're left with Anders sound-a-likes (same VA!) in Origins then. I was sure mage apprentice on fire is one of them, in addition to Cullen.

I wonder if it's possible to port/recreate Anders in Origins and make him a companion there via modding. Kind of like the Ser Gilmore Joinable NPC mod :innocent:

Maybe they found him amusing. Her pet apostate, they let him get away because it's so much fun to hunt him down and lock him up again.

I think there's some dialogue about that in the game, actually Creature - where he says something along the lines that unless he's a malificar killing him isn't allowed.



It's also one of the reasons I think some of his escape attempts were before his harrowing - I don't think they would kill a kid, even if he was escaping the tower all the time. Then he escapes AFTER his harrowing and they put him in solitary for a year - which is a pretty harsh punishment, even for a prison.



Also he's an awesome mage. They probably wanted to keep him more than most mages.

What about what's his face, the kid Wynne taught?  I don't recall him being a maleficar, but they hunted him down and left him for dead.  And he was just a young teen at the oldest.

Certainly if they didn't kill him, they would have flogged him or done something else to make him very unlikely to try to run away again. 

I put it down to inconsistent lore, a common problem in DA.

It could have been training for hunting down apostates (okay granted he really WAS escaping but how often does this happen)? there is only one exit from the tower, its a huge ass door that supposedly is only openable (is that a word?) by 4 men. And according to Templar Bran the windows on the upper floors are not a safe alternate.

I tend to think they tolerated him because he was good training for the younger templars. Psycholock seems to be the only regular that hunted him down, and I imagine she would bring younger templars with her to show them how its done?
